Be careful cutting the side rails off. A lot of trailers get all their strength from the side rails. They have no framework whatsoever under them. If you cut them off the trailer it could just fold in half in the center. Check out my pictures I can haul 7 atv's on my 16' trailer.

Elbow grease from 2 people will get the job done.

I could fit 3 Utilities on my 6' x 12' trailer img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>As JLSLEP said.......You'll have no problem at all........
Good Luck

Trust me, them utilities are heavy. You'll get tired of moving them around, unless of course you spread a couple bottles of dish soap on the deck, img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">hehehe, then they'll slide easy.
Drive on, drive off is the only way to go.
Sporties are not bad to move around, but not utilities, it will get old..
Make is easy on yourself and your back, really img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>
Go buy a Sawzall and lose them side img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">hehehe
Seriously though....I'd get rid of the sides. If you want to have sides for it, you can make removable sides pretty easy.
Good Luck
I'm thinking with your 16' trailer, you could............
Drive one across the front...... The 700
Drive on the second one from the rear and nose up to the front one....... one 400
Drive on the third one across the back..... the other 400
like this....... | ---- |

Read my post. If you load the way I do, you drive 'em all on, and drive 'em all of img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Without having to remove the sides.....
No need to spin them around.
BUT......If you really want to load them all sideway, you will only have to spin one around if the sides come offimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Just trying to save this guys back img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> It's no fun to yard these things around.........

Our 18 footer has removable side but we keep them on. With a trailer width that your talking about you could easily pull them sideways by hand. But if you get bigger tires than factory it would be a bit harder.
