I looked into the 20' fun runner. But after a friend of mine had so many problems with it I looked the other way. Another thing.. After going to Carson's factory whey they build them here in Carson California, the people working there were not very pleasnt to deal with. One person came in for some warranty work while I was looking around and they started giving him a hard time.....

a 20' trailer fully loaded is a little too much for your half ton truck. Forget about what they say is fine and not.. Remember they wanna sell. I told them that I wanted the trailer to go to a certified scale and they would refuse to do it. Thats because there numbers lie. Once that 20' is loaded up your truck is gonna grunt and what not. It will pull it but I wouldnt do it. I bought a 17' American Freedom dry weight of 3700lbs. When I told them I wanted to take it to a scale they said sure and we went to certified scale and with the little diffrent options that I got it weighted in at 3890lbs I think.

Then again I just seen a Escalate pulling like a 26' GearBox that was all loaded... It was pulling it but I bet it wasnt a pleasant drive up some hills.

DO your math now so you dont have to worry about it when your towing it.

My brothers 05 Z71, 5.3 4x4 with tow package could haul less than my Expedition 5.4 4x4 with full tow package. Toy haulers are heavy.

I stopped and look at Fun Runners, then kept looking. I bought a Weekend Warrior "superlite". It is made for half ton PU's. I have the 23 footer and have had a 400ex, a predator, and a yz 250. They fit in there great.

Looking at a 2004 20' Carson FunRunner Trailer. Tow vehicle is 5.3 Silverado 4X4 Z71. Pros & Cons of this unit? Should be well w/in the capacities of the Silverado, but don't know anything about the trailer. Friend suggested that I look at a 24' as that is still w/in Silverado capabilities, but would give me a little more room.

I looked at the Funrunners even called the guys down at the factory not a pleasant experiance, they where really rude to say the least. They could not be bothered to answer any questions I can't imagine how they would be after they had your money. The trailers do look cheap inside and out. I didn't like the roof at all I choose the Weekend Warrior 19FT Lite, I am towing with a 1500 Z71 5.3 I am right there number wise for what I can tow safely. I dealt with the people at Giant RV, So far they have been great. They should be delivering my Hauler up here in about 2 weeks.
