Make sure that you have a good clean ground connedtion. Don't rely on the metal to metal contact of the trailer on the hitch, connect the white wire on the tow vehicle harness to a clean ground source. Do the same for the white ground wire on the trailer side. It's amazing how many different lighting problems are caused by a poor ground connection.

also check the ground connections at the lights if applicable

each light can be grounded to the trailer individually

sometimes they get all corroded and loose their good ground

i assume you checked your bulbs,,,,and maybe rotated them to verify that they are good

Yes, Jaybeecon55 is correct make sure you have you ground connected. I had the exact same problem and what i did was took the white ground wire and soldiered a large type aligator clip and I attached it to a spot on my hitch that has bare metal and it worked perfect!

While you're at it check the fuses in the truck as well.

Do a pin out check to make sure your trailer is compatable with your truck.

hello all...

just got 2 new quads and a new zieman 5x14 trailer...

when i hook up the flat four connector i can get running lights, then when i press the brakes i only get a left break light and no turn signals...

i tested my pigtail and it's all good- and the pigtail plugs into a "t" type setup that is installed into the factory connectors...

is there something very simple i am missing? is this a common error?

thanks
