How bad is it?
I had a 91, and it got 25 mpg in the summer and around 21 in the winter. Even though they are small, they dont get alot better milage than the other trucks.

It's amazing how much a clean airfilter and properly inflated tires make a difference. I commute on the Hwy with my '80 Toyota every day too, and lately I have been running with the tailgate down. I was getting a little better than 17 mpg and filling up every 5th round trip to work. I'm getting 22 mpg now doing those things. The air filter was nasty and I had a rear tire @12 PSI (without a load it's hard to notice).
