You already have a full 4" exhuast. I would look into a programmer (chip)

Any and all mods CAN void your warranty. I don't agree with it but if they can relate the mod to the failure they can void it. As for the programmers, they too are detectable! What the dealer sees is that the ECM has been flashed and it wasn't by them and there is no record of another dealership doing it, so it raises a red flag to DC(STAR) to look a little harder. Also, with a programmer when you download the "stock" program back into the ECM for whatever reason it is not always the same as the stock one you had before the flash. There are alot of options out there for you to choose from just do some research and choose the one that suits your needs best.

With the programmer anytime you want a different level don't you need to plug it in and download the one you want? With alot of the new "boxes" you can choose a power level on the fly, anywhere from 0-9 choices of HP and TQ

Turning the key 3 times on and off will give you the codes that have been set on the truck from a problem that occured. I don't think turning the key 4 times will do anything!! The tech was most likely telling stories. It would be nice though!!!

Put in an aftermarket drop in air filter( I used AFE). Next, The tube between the air filter and the turbo, take it out and replace it with a 5" piece of diesel truck exhust tube,(7 3/4 inches long). This will up your power and not touch the warranty. As a side effect your milage will go up as well.

I was concerned about the warranty as well, after speaking to the dealer the ones I listed will not do anything to the warranty.

There are not many injectors available for our Comon Rail trucks. The ones that are out have just come out and are VERY VERY expensive. Not to mention they will void your warrenty as fast as any box or programer. I wanted to keep my warenty bu my wife bought me a Bully Dog Tourque Dog and gauges just because she felt like it and now I just hope the truck dont have any problems they can tie back to the box. I do run around most of the time with it shut off and never tow with it turned on. I only turn it on if I want to pass someone in a hurry or am just feeling the need for speed.

If I were you I would get that power programmer, or the bullydog computer system because you have 5 levels of adjustment on it and if you leave it on the 1st one its considered stock. I also read that the power programmer wouldn't void any warranites but I dont know if thats true or not. If I were you I would just program it for power when you wanted it then if you needed to get it serviced just program it back to stock lol
