With you guys putting that many machines inside, are you exceeding the weight rating?

I just bought a custom made 19 footer from Pace American.to use in my business (See profile for pics), and will also be using it to haul my ATV's on off weekends... On my trip back home from the factory, I did not have my load equalizer installed yet, and that beast was a hand full in the wind. I am hoping the load equalizer will help immensly.... Do you get the sway action going on your big rigs? I am told part of my problem is the v-nose design itself. And I am sure some may be caused by the shorter wheelbase. I guess this is one case where bigger is better.

I looked at those mega toy boxes, and thought they were a little short on room when it came to hauling atv's. I now see you are stacking them and putting htem in sideways etc. Is this causing any prblems with fuel leaks and or oil leaks? Anything you have to do special to keep the oil in the crankcase and not in places it should not be in?

Now that you have it, would you say there are advantages to the toybox over traditional class C/A motorhome and a trailer?

Yeah, maybe when I win the lottery, I can get a stacker trailer with a run about vehicle inside, put the ATV's up top and have the best of both worlds...

RTOYZ,

I am in Bend, Oregon area and am looking for a 8x14-16 "deckover" open trailer. Do you have any contacts for items like this. I see "The great outdoors" in White City carries Carlson trailers which is one of the brands I have narrowed down to.

Thanks

My 28' Fun Runner does the trick and it was very inexpensive compared to the other brands. We stuff the following in there:

a Grizz
a 450 R
a 400ex
a 250ex
a trx90
(2) Kazuma 110s
an atc 70
and sometimes the Bultaco for giggles
so.....7 quads, an atc, and a dirtbike

The grizz and the 450 are on their wheels, the atc rides on the grizzley's racks BR>and the other quads are stood up.

The fun runner is cheaply appointed, not nearly as nice as my friends' trailers, but the only thing that hasn't worked perfectly since I bought it was the hot water heater (which we later figured out). That's better than most anyone I know can claim.

I will say that if you want more luxurious appointments, you might consider a nice used motorhome and a good sized flatbed trailer. When you consider the cost of a toyhauler and tow vehicle, it does get spendy

Try RV Trader online. Looking to sell the RV and get a Toy Hauler. RV is too big for the driveway or I'd keep it. Anyone interested in a 34 foot 84 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite PM me. When I bought it I got an extemely good deal, so I'm not asking a whole lot for it.

I'm looking for a toy hauler and it seems the Weekend Warrior is the way to go. Can someone tell me what these are going for (give or take)?

Yeah, there are lots of other brands out there that work, I just felt the quality of the warrior was better in workmanship and standard features. Where in oregon are you?? We have a new sand dune club that is very family orientated and sponsors onboard that can save you thousands, one is a toyhauler dealer.

We have had seven machines in our toy hauler. We had a DS 650, Kodiak 450, YZ 125, YZ 250, TTR-90, TTR-125L, and PW 50 all comfortably tucked inside. All of those toys went into a 37' Dune Chaser, by Mckenzie. The Dune Chaser is our second toy hauler, and we upgraded from a Weekend Warrior. The Dune Chaser is more of a luxury class motor coach than the Weekend Warrior, which is more of a mid-line RV when it comes to features, ammenities, etc. We have been very happy with the Dune Chaser. Good luck with your purchase.

Not with the Dune Chaser toy hauler I have. It is a triple axle, and is made to haul the weight. I can't say for others, especially the dual axle trailers.

Yeah, I have a good buddy who gets six in his warrior (same as mine) and he has to make sure he puts them in the right way, but does not have to stack. he has five full size quads and one 150.

our warrior has triple axle as well, It tows much better than a tandom axle.

I have not had any problems with gas or oil leaks at all. Alot of our friends say we are anal about our stuff. After every trip, the following weekend I take out the quads and detail each one of them and check for any problems, and polish the plastic and lube the chain. As far as the advantages of a trailer vs a motorhome there is some to both.

When we started we had a motorhome with an enclosed trailer. Very nice set up. the wife could make a meal as we travled down the road. the kids had room to move about and play, or use the restroom without having to stop. They could go to sleep and be comfy while we get to our destination. We would pull in at night and just go to sleep. Unpack in the morning and have fun. The problem was no matter how well you pack or our group would decide to go out to dinner. moving the beast was not fun in town. unleveling, unhooking the trailer, parking in coast towns seem really small.

The toyhauler is a nice set up. Not quite as nice traving execept the fact of being used to the tow vehicle vs not driving a motorhome everyday. the kids sit in the back seat and watch tv with there headsets while the wife and I get a chance to talk. Once we get there it takes about 1/2 hour to 45 min to set up. then If we go into town or out to dinner its no diffrent than at home. The Toyhauler seems to be much larger inside without all those cabinets in the rear. Lots of room for the young ones to play. and as my lovely wife says "with a trailer we have one less engine to maintain".

have to agree with the campmaster (www.roadmasterllc.com). has travel trailers (MURV multi use recreational vehicle) and goosenecks - 5th wheels. the website doesn't do anything for the new floorplans, think it needs to be updated. we just bought a 20' (only have a hd fatboy and a quad and only 2 of us), and we LOVE IT!! we are doing modifications, adding an electric lift bed in the cargo area and a screen on the cargo area bay door, however, great construction, all steel, and a nice "homey" feel in the living quarters. TONS of storage space. our cargo area is seperate from the living space, not standard in any new toy hauler (ours is 2004), which we love. but us turning it into a bedroom/garage, it gives us a seperate room that you don't find in most other toy haulers. one major thing that is superior about this toy hauler is the ramp. it is much lower than all the others. makes it much easier to load/unload your vehicles without destroying them or going through the pains of adding extra ramps. our interior width is smaller (by 6") than your standard toy hauler, only because of the insulation, well worth it. i called this company today, asking for advice on modifications, they were not very helpful (kept referring back to the dealer), however, they were very nice, and a live person answered the phone. doesn't look like much on the outside, but there are 14 colors to choose from, and we love the fact that our trailer/rv doesn't look like everyone else's. as soon as we arrive anywhere, people always say, "nice toy hauler". if you have any other questions about this product, will be happy to answer. good luck!
