Didnt think you could do it that way. The older programers are vehicle specific you can only use it on one truck, whether its in use or not.. The new ones are too but only when a program is installed in the truck so you cant install it in another truck at the same time But after unprogramming you can use it on another truck... You have to use the same programmer to unprogram the truck that you used to program it you cant use another one..

Bad situation Bro. Take it to a local diesel mod. shop and have them help you out. They have and know all the tricks.

Good luck!

I have a 2000 PS F350 and I also have the Banks Stinger Plus pack (98hp). In the last month and a half I've had three oil line leaks coming from the high pressure side of the turbo also. I tow a 33' toy hauler for most of my trips and I've had the Banks system on there for 3 years and never a problem until now. I've just turned 80k miles on it so I guess my question is other than Phantom has anybody else had these issues or has a freind that has?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I was around the 40k mark when I had the Banks system done because it's been 2 1/2 years ago right as I got my 5th wheel. I've never had any problems towing it even when fully loaded. I weigh in at just over 20,000 (truck and loaded trailer) and it's been a pleasure towing with my PS F350. I'm just wondering if it's just a fluke with my Power Stroke or if this is something that a lot of people with a 7.3 PS encounter?

BTW- 1BAD250R....Nice truck! I want to go with a simular lift and set up but since I tow a 5th wheel for now I've got to stay a little lower.

The problem could be the miles on the truck. We bought our old '99 SD diesel F-350 with 100,000 miles and it ran fine. We put a superchip in it and all hell broke loose. All of the injectors went and if you know diesels that was expensive! My neighbor who is a trucker said that you can't chip a vehicle with high miles or things go wrong....did you put the chip on the truck when it was new or recently? We chipped our new truck (in my pics page) when it only had 55,000 miles on it and she runs like a dream.

Thanks, I tell my pops you appreciated it! Its an 8 inch lift with 38's. We were lucky to find that burnt orange color...they didn't put it on a lot of Super Dutys. The best part is the 4-trumpet train air horn system w/compressor we have under the chassis. Its a good way to get peoples attention!

Ok Ford Guys, I got one for ya, any possible solutions to this would be helpful:

I sold my bro-in-law my 2002 F250 Diesel, complete with the Superchips programmer....that truck has been in the shop twice to replace an oil line feeding the turbo, and it is leaking again...Problem? Either the programmer is lost, hopefully misplaced or stolen, and he has the Tow Safe program still in there! Now, if he takes it in, the warranty is voided, they get charged for the repair, and the reprogramming.

The oil lines have blown both before the programmer was used and after it had been used, so it's a pre-existing condition.

Again, any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks,
TPR

Well, it only had 25k miles initially when the programmer was used and the o-ring had already leaked once....but they have found a solution.....clean the engine and trade it in!!!!! It's already a done deal. But thanks for the help!!

Thanks for all the help, but the solution was to trade it in and let it be the dealer's problem. In doing so, he switched to the dark side and picked up a 2500 Silverado HD with the Duramax. He really couldn't pass it up, the new F-250's were 44-47 k, while he got the Chevy for 34k with the employee discount incentive, so I can't really blame him.
