100% of my money goes to the CBR 1000. no doubt. bikes are way faster then most factory cars other then exotics

Yeah, the Bike will spank the Neon hands down. But, those SRT4's are pretty quick. Put is against any other 4 door economy car priced at around $20K and I betcha the SRT4 will spank it!

I raced a Viper on my 748 Ducati and smoked him so bad it wasnt funny. In the drivers defense, he caught all gears too hard sending him sideways at each shift....not a very good driver IMO.
Bad driver, but it would have been a pretty cool site to see. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

The CBR isnt the fastest 1000 of the bunch, but it will still wax a Neon SRT4 in just about every way save for trunk space and passenger capacity.

Ahh, wonder if thats a hp bump. Last time I checked back for the 02 or 03 model year they werent pumping more than 160 from the showroom.
Oh well.

Thank you for the R1 hp ratings, I was wondering where that extra 30 came from.img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

An '89 CBR 1000 is capable of 0 - 60 in 2.65 seconds (under ideal conditions) and tops out in the mid 160's (I have one of these; the last year they were called “Hurricanes” and it is my current street bike). Don&39;t know about the newer models but I would imagine they have equally or better performance figures. Now the "R" model CBRs, they are even hotter (lighter and faster)...

are you kidding me... you cant compare a Bike to a car! A ferrari enzo, for example, the fastest production car, accelerates the same as a 1994 Kawasaki 750 ( i believe) Ninja. they tested it in Road and track..

The Suzuki Hybussa 1300 And the GXR 1000's are supposed to be the fastest bikes around, along with the Yamaha R1.

i dont know about the cbrs, but i know the yamaha r-1s are throwin out 180 horses, and thats on 380 pounds.

i know i know, i wasnt implying that u were, my bad if it came off that way.

All if this may be true, but when it's cold, raining and you have a bunch of stuff with you, the SRT-4 is where my money will go.
Quarter mile with warm dry conditions and winning is the only issue - it's a no-brainer, but the SRT-4 is still one of the best bargains on wheels for what you get.

The Busa is fast but only in a straight line. The Gsxr1000 is a light handling nimble machine! Ive always had a place in my heart for the R1 though. Any bike that wants to wheelie after getting up to 125 mph and handle as well as it does wins in my book. Plus it looks evil!

You are comparing a sport bike to a car? There is no comparison that bike is gonna make that car look like it is sitting still. As for a SRT-4 they will go low 14's to high 13's in the 1/4 as for that mike it is probably in the 11's or at worst 12's. Hands down bike will win.

For those questioning the R1's horsepower rating, the 180 hp value is hp at the crank, not at the rear wheel. The 04/05 R1's that have the ram air (front air scoops) put out 180 at the crank, without the scoop, rear wheel hp is near 146-150 I believe. I own a 2003 R1 which puts out a dynoed best of 132 hp, when I was drunk. I have raced so many cars I cant even begin to count, more just so they could see how they would do. My best time in the quarter mile was 10.08 @ 151 mph. Not too many cars can beat that, even most exotics will barely beat that. Take a highly modded musle car and sure, it will win.
