I have a 95 Ranger with the 2.3 four cylinder. Tows a 5x10 trailer with two quads no problem. Won't be setting any land speed records, but I get there. When you say cut it down, do you mean length or width? Don't think you would want to cut the width, you'll need a new axel. Lenghwise it is fine. On mine, I bring one on sideways at the front, pull the other straight on. My trailer is also a flat bed, if yours has rails, that may be more trouble when cutting it.

I have a 93 Ford ranger....v-6 4.0...it has over two hundred thousand miles on it...and everynow and then I use it with my buddies 8x10 single axle trailer and I can haul my 550 pound scrambler and my buddies trail boss.

You should be fine with the V-6. If your tranny is an automatic you may want to consider adding a tranny cooler if it doesn't already have one. It is cheap insurance for your transmission. You can pick one up for around $50-$60 and they are pretty easy to install.

I have a 95 ranger with a 4.0 V-6 with a five speed and 31 BFG mud terrains and now that I have put larger tires on my quad it doesn't fit in the bed of the truck. My neighbor is giving me an old trailer that needs a bit of work but will work for me. It is a 8 by 10 and I was wondering if I should cut it down some or will the truck do for pulling this. I would like to keep it this size b/c I usually ride with another kid with a big foreman like mine and they would both fit on this trailer. Any help
