Confused, I looked at your pictures and they seem to be new to meLooks like a good clean fun place to ride and fishnly trailer trash there, is the one with the 18,000 lbs of trash in the front of itAnyways, why don't you post a close up of the toys on the back rack of your truck? I'd like to see how you really do itBR>
Toyo, No I didn't have to remove the casing, thank Godame close though, about 1/8 of an inch to spare and some touch up paintTalk about furniture that wouldn't fite bought a couch, nothing out of the ordinary. So. when they delivered it, they got it through the front door but, couldn't make the turn. Well, after 45 mins and half a sheet of drywall damage later, they got it out the door and left it in the front yard. Needless to say, had to remove the freakin' family room window, to get it in the househo would of thoughtBR>
Hoss, what put you in a "can of whoop ass" mood? The wife still sick? (hope she is at least feeling better until her appt) kids getting to you? extra work, from the new promotion? girlygirl? lolBR>
Trailer trashe have our fair share down here. And why is it, they all seem to arrive in a u-haul with Oklahoma platesBR>
Don't get me on my tyraid about the pos terrorist. We should also leave them lying under a sheet of glass

Its been more like the clampets these days seein the trailer people rollin up in their 78 ford station wagon blowin more smoke out the exhaust that an ol Steam train with an icechest with 3 kids in it bein towed behind and like foxworthys dad towin the boat without a trailer. its ludicrous. Guess i moved up in the world when i was lil on the farm we had a double wide a single wide and a house. and multiple barns and feedsheds and silos and so forth.

Holy crap i swear i am retarded. man i always forget sompin in my reply. yeah i grew up on a real farm. we only milked 360 +/- cows but we fed around 5,000 cows and grew feed on around 15,000 acres. so it was busy as a child. now the ranch is about 5 miles down the road from the childhood farm and its down to about 230 acres or so. then there are a couple 30+ acre hay fields we got in differnt locations.b ghn n nh, zxdzdezxfcbg img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">lol that sentence was what mud dog thinks of me typeing. and he wanted to say hi

In California, they have a law about spewing out exhaust smoke. We even have a chart that refers to how much oil, contaminants might be coming out of it. They (the EPA) says, we have the second worst, (skinner correct me, if I'm wrong) in the nation of air quality. Think we fall right behind L.A. so, they/me are really cracking down on these cars. But, they hide behind these out of state platesherefore, the smog tests don't apply to them, but, they better not leave a smoke screen. And, if they leave the state and do not take care of the ticket, when they come back, which they will, they will go to jail on the warrant that is issuedand then, I will take their Clampet mobile

Al infierno con los infidels que conducen los malos automóviles, confiscan su vehículo y los golpean con el pie en las tuercas!! ohh and I'll get some pictures of the log smashing bumper for the warrior. I should bolt it up and take a picture but it will look funny with the rack and no fenders. lol. hell you could rearend the warrior with a semi and i think the bumber on the back of the warrior would win. its made outta 3 - 1.5" pipes 3' long welded in a pyrimid and then it hase 1.5" pipes running up the sub frame and welded to it.

Posted by: rescuediver

Yea, I'd like to see that bumper. Reminded me of a show I saw couple weeks ago. It was on The Learning Channel (or one similiar) They took 3 groups, one was 3 girls in a old caddie, they had to go over the log, well, out of the 2 other groups, one (okies in a old ford pickmeup)cut it in half and moved it out of the way. The other (firefighters in a utility van) tried to go over it with hala$$ ramps. They got stuckWell, the girls, they built battering ram/glide over the top of the log set up. Pretty sweet and it worked

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

I get a picture of some of our crazy bumber creations from the brush busting days. now we just use the cat. its allot easier The one off my brothers warior is now in the front of the lawnmower for a couterweight. lol. and mine just hangs out in the quad container and many others were cut up and scraped. hell we even welded conveyor rollers to the back bumbers so you could flip up and just ride a vertical wheelie but cut those off when brother was flyin in 5th gear and bounced over a rock and the quad just spun and flipped on its side and broke both upper and lower arms and ripped tire off and bent frame. no good. he didnt get hurt though. I think i got some pictures riding wheelies around the powerstroke. lol

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

And maybe if im nice i can talk my bro into puttin his chip in his PSD and doin some wheelies off the top of the hill climb. Talk about a wild feelin. front end so high in the air was draggin the trailer hitch and it was holding it.

Heck, that's a language I think, we all can talk and understand real well

Posted by: rescuediver

Confused, that's a nice thread you started "saw an 8 y/o riding Kodiak 400SE" it turned into a bashing of copsHow did that happen? All the whining makes the US of A look a lot better

Posted by: confusedbuyer

ya, i was just reading the trash there. I think they're really Cdn imposters from the deep south of USA!you read too much into the "bashing" part. just the one guy was being disrespectful (like Hoss is, using the "P" word). the other guy is just peeved that they've lost so much. but, the law doesn't just get changed without notice, there woulda been lots of talk and warnings it was coming. they may not have been the brightest lights in the christmas tree.

Governing religion in canadia is meesssssed up stuff. the muslim women up there are freakin out about it cuz they are a lil higher than dirt there. like maybe grass or weeds, and if they goto this then Women are less than dirt agin. doesnt seem like a step in the right direction for our good neigbors.

WARNING!!WARNING!! This newsflash just in! Inhaling noxious methane fumes found in manure can cause severe brain damage!!

Governing religion?? hahahahaha, LMFAO!! Are you serious? you wanna talk socialism, this is the country, but we don't regulate or govern religion! that's hilarious stuff. who was your source, Rush Limbaugh, or 2guaybobs (Oral Roberts)?

OMG!! I just heard a newsflash on TNN.. this just in... "DC has announced a bill has been made law making it mandatory for every American to have a bi-sexual encounter so that they can detremine which way they want to swing once and for all. It has been dubbed the Rump-roast-bone-in law". Ludicrous, isn't it?

funny, when you were talking about scuzzy trailers, it reminded me when we first bought a home and had to look at townhouses because we couldn't afford a house. the houses we looked at were filthy pig-stys. my wife commented that you don't have to be rich to be clean or to keep your home tidy.

MD, we're going on a poker ride this weekend, so I'll post some pics of the quads on deck. hey, i thot you were supposed to be mopping the floor with the wife's rear?img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> or are ya finished?

hey, I can multiple post about each different thought I have like Festoyo. It makes the thread longer with more pages.

Posted by: confusedbuyer

MD, yep kids still have a faint pulse. they've been good since we went ballistic. plus they don't want to ruin opportunity for poker run this weekend. we're leaving early, tomorrow after school.

we have aircare here too. we're similar to LA in that all the smog from city drifts to Valley and then socks in at the base of the mtns. altho LA smog is so thick by the time you get to Riverside and Palm SPrings, it should be the 8th wonder of the world.

Good Morning FBK!!!BR>
I would like a roll-call this morning...it seems that Skinner, Lil' Joe, and Pa are AWOL. We haven't heard from Tommy in a while. Maybe it's my, I mean, confusedbuyer's immaturity.BR>
Wifey goes under the rusty butter knife next week. Do you think they'll do lyposuction while she's there?BR>
Last night I put my 500 back together (rear half shaft CV boot). All I can say is I hate snap rings. It took me 2-hours to get the CV joint off so I could put the new boot on.

Confused, I like the pics!!! You have a BEAUTIFUL family.BR>
MD, I wasn't ornery with FBK...my banter was in jest.

I dont know that they could handle hunting with me cuz i would shoot all the ducks or geese and my lil aussie would go get em all or the mastiff I love shootin stuff. Sporting clays is a ton of fun. thats the 100 target round. out here you go thru the woods to differnt stations and they have differnt types of shots to simulate every thing you could shoot with a shotgun. I however cant shoot skeet worth a crap. i am best at duck tower or trap. my field gun is a custom Ithica with Gold duck on one side and a gold pheasant on the other and all sorts of ornate scrolly crap. its set up more for long range pheasant and grouse.

you might want to invite some of the members up for a hunting trip. Maybe you could change their minds

(OK, you jokers talked too much last night!) I'm still on page 52 or something.

Yep, the good Marshall is right. The Central Valley Air Basin is the second worst, hell let's use the correct term, nastiest, air basin in the United States. We seem to be trying to beat LA for some weird reason. The SJVUAPD (San Joaquin Unified Air Pollution Control District) was trying to get moved up (err down I suppose) on their own to a worse quality designation to get more time to clean things up. We have a lot of junk in the air. All the farming puts huge amounts of particulates (i.e. dirt) in the air. Plus the old diesel motors they use for pumping water. There's a big move on to move the motors over to electric.

Plus we have a lot of vehicle traffic through the air basin. The local APDs are only tasked with stationary pollution sources, back-up and on-line energy production, ag burning (becoming a big no-no), and various farm emissions from methane gas to your general dust.

[ed. now that I've finished with the Novela]
So MD a fixit will become a bench? That happened to come up last night with someone I was talking with.

I have a GREAT picture at home I'll see if I can find it. It's of a Clovis USD School Bus with the Clean Burn Bus Program sticker on it...spewing a big 'ol cloud of white smoke behind it. It was actually a stuck injector. Ended up pumping raw unburnt fuel into the turbo. It let go on 99 just south of Stockton heading to UOP for a VICA competition. Ended up riding back with a girls softball team. Ok....THAT was interesting.

OK, so I was kinda playing Weight Nazi yesterday with Excel and worked up a spreadsheet for sh*ts and grins.

First page is truck information. Put in whatever you want. The info goes into the cell next to what it is asking for. It uses GVWR, GCWR, and Front and Rear GAWR.

Second page is Truck Only loads. Shows your front and rear axle weights as well as your GVW. Requires 2 weights: front axle and both axles on scale.

Third, fourth and fifth sheets are for single, double and tripple axle trailers. Requires additional weighing based on the number of axles on the trailer if you want to see if weight is evenly distributed on the axles. Will also figure out tongue weight and tongue weight %.

Let me know what you guys think.

Next I'll probably do one for RVs which need to be balance in weight left to right so they don't ride down the highway with a list to one side.

Excel based Weigh Sheet

Posted by: confusedbuyer

HEY!! I'm the one who started on methane.... now you guys are jumpin in over the air pollution quality of this lovely gas.

you guys have class..... nobody has wished Mrs. Hoss a quick and speedy recovery, so I will on EVERYONE'S behalf (j/k, I'm sure you guys feel the same way).

Hoss, your wife don't need ANY lipo...there'e nothing to suck.. ( I bet you hear that all the time)

Read way, way, way, way, back Festus. Hoss and I already chatted about Bob and Doug, then tried to educate the rest of the FBK as to who they are/were. that was back when Pa would participate in the witty banter. But I am thoroughly impressed that you know who they are, and even more impressed you quoted a bit of the song they did with Rush (roo-koo-koo etc.. was Geddy Lee). Hoss and i also chatted Rush cuz he went to their concert many posts ago. He probably got into the BC Bud there (AKA Happy Lettuce).

Well, so long until Monday. I'm going to a poker run this PM. I'll have 20 pages to read when i get back, as Festus has inherited the title as head $hit disturber.

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

WHAT THAT EH??? I do believe i wished miss Hoss a speedy recovery on the first notice. and lended my prayers. PAY ATTENTION CANUCK Bob and doug are the shizznizzle I loved the great white north record. i wore that thing out. strange brew was a good movie eh? Good ridings on the poker run. maybe you can win a hand? Rush was a great band. You talk about whacky tobacky quite a bit there. that why you live in canada so you can smoke and be left be?

Posted by: Whitewater

Good luck at poker!!! And yes Confused....we love you.img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

Love is a strong word Hoss.. Ok i have grown dear of the crazy canuck. he talks allota smack and can take it back and keep it all in perspective. He aint no liberal from canada.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

No kidding. Prices have been on a slow retreat though so that's cool. Wait...I'm at work...work truck...it don't cost me nuthin! Actually there are at least 2 places between work and home I can cash it. (BTW it was a Mega number for those CALottery fans.) oh well. I'll parlay that into Sat's. ticket. Need to get it early so I remember. Otherwise I have to drive around the lake to go get it.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

Trasher, well hmm...depends on how much I won. LOL. I already have a Warrior and would keep it at least as a back-up or loaner type. If I hit the big one, well hell, let's see....nice YFZ set up for the trails. Maybe a DS for the desert. Oh my. Of course a Ute for the technical stuff up in the mountains. Or for those long distance trips.

Of course I'd be pulling it with some kind of Ford. Might end up with a Cat under the hood, else a PSD (to keep it "on topic").

Posted by: rescuediver

Hoss, I sent your "PETA" picture in to the organization, I thought they could use it as a Christmas Cardice photo and some good shootingBR>
Skinner, you bet a fix it ticket can go to a warrant. You are still given a court date. So, if you don't fix it by then and submit your court fees and a copy of the corrections, then no show in courthe judge will issue a failure to appear. Yeah on the FTA...last ex...no seat belt plus no insurance. She actually FTAd TWICE! They took her license. She had an $800+ fine outstanding when I showed her the door (for other reasons).

It was back in HS...I'm not that much of a perv. Sheesh.

F-350...hmm...I'm thinking about the F-750 based fun mover. Just need to see if they can put a stacker in the back bay. But with that much power, I'm sure a 16' trailer behind it wouldn't be much of a pull. The max behind that would be a 24' coupler to tail. 65' of fun rolling down the highway. I believe 65' is the max in CA. Imagine showing up with one towing a toy hauler....

Fester or festus or Toyo or whatever- You need to be running Turf tamers on the mower. The others rip the snot out of the grassBR>
Did ya throw a nice little 1000cc street bike engine in it yet? Don't want to waste too much time moving!
I finally got smart with my back grass. I went with a Astro turf grass that looks great all the time, never needs mowing or watering, and the dogs don't rip it up or put those pesty little brown pee-pee spots in it (like little hoss' bedroomLOL) This stuff is great. It has longer blades that look like real grass, not the crap you get at Home depot fer in front of the trailer.

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

ohh creator. the back lawn is 3 acres & looks like a golf course. Front lawn is close to becoming afroturf though cuz the dam dogs dig holes and lay in the black dirt and get all dirty and you have to take em out to the pond to swim everynight before they come inside. then ya have to dry em off and brush em. have a 55hp John Deer with a 6' mower on the back. 4wd with calcium filled ag tires But the lil mower is only a 60" deck 20hp and yeah them chevrons tear up the lawn but thats what came on it. 14 years ago.. lol time for some new ones i guess

Posted by: Trasher

doesn't Toyo make replacements for it?

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

No my beloved toyo factory does not seem to produce tires in the small size, rather dissapointing. but i cant hold it againts em ya know. Ya cant be all things to all customers.

Posted by: Trasher

I guess you'll have no other choice but to put a lift kit on the old mowerThrow those Big Toyos under and Git-R-Done!

Your imperial wisdom has sparked an idea. actually my next project is fabricating a chariot for my horse. I wanna make it have atv tires since i have so many extra sets. I was thinkin about a wagon but a chariot for trail riding would be sweet plus you can bail off

Posted by: Trasher

Don't fergit to leave some room for the beer cooler

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

Of course not. but as the Good MD tells me you can get a dui on horseback aswell so i suspect it would go for driving a chariot as well. I MAY HAVE TO DRAW MY SWORD!!! I was thinkin i could do a 4 tired model with suspension similar to a polaris atv. i have tons of shox from quads layin around so i could make some crazy contraption.

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

So creator. what do you think has more snap? your banshee or your cr500?

Posted by: Trasher

no question- the CR500 by far. It's getting to be no funny to ride 'cause you have to riding in a aggressive manner most of the time or you'll get hurtYou just don't go around wicking the throttle to see what will happen. It will let you know real quickBR>
I'm looking at replacing some toys soon. I went to the local auction yesterday in fact and didn't see what they had was what I was looking fer. The older son wants a WR250 Yamaha bike and I want to get a WR450 (with the magic button). We have been trying to go on night rides but half our bikes don't have lights or lightning coils to put some on.

Posted by: Trasher

Thinking back on it (scary thought right there-me thinking) I must be getting older The bikes that used to give me a rush now wear me out!

Posted by: Trasher

I have the CR80 in the Trader today. Maybe next week the 500, warrior and Shee might be there. Looking at a Polaris maybeand the WR450 bike. Still like them things. Been ridin bikes for over 37 years and still like to ride 'emBR>BTY- I already sold the XR650. I killed that thing at Gordons this summer

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

I would put that 500 motor in the like ETON 90 i have riden cr250s and 500s and no doubt about a dirtbike. you have to ride it like your crashin all the time. else you will get cought off gaurd and crash and hurt yourself. that in its self is why i ride a quad. too many accidents on the 2 wheels than and its too rainy and slick around here and you can ride the dirtbike without killing yourself maybe 2 months a year. down to an XR200 now that sits in the barn if i feel like a two wheel tootle. the last 2 wheeler before that was a KX250 that was a mean machine. when i got my raptor i almost got a yz450F or an XR650 but that 2 wheel thing and me gettin older. yeah. 4 tires and try to keep the rubber on the ground. it dont always work out that way but its a goal

Posted by: Trasher

Keeping on topic as alwaysI saw a bunch of PSD's yanking around big 'ol trailers coming from Phoenix to Flagstaff this week. They were just marching up the grades without a hitch

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

Watchin football last night holy crap ford had that f350 6L in every break i think.

Posted by: Trasher

Junior's bike would be a kick with that motor in there but I wouldn't want him to ride it. He's not paid for yetBR>
Are they ever???I'm still waiting to find out

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

you think i could slip a cr500 motor in my warrior chassis with a few mods?

Posted by: Trasher

I think it's been done before. There are some with XR650 engines also. That's a better engine for that chassis

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

yeah. i found a couple XR650's for under 3 grand with not many hours on em. I was real tempted to do a motor swap i am still considering it .

Posted by: Trasher

The CR500 engine will shake yer teeth out. You still got some don't ya?never know wit that picture of yourself in the fancy hatOL

Posted by: Trasher

Try to find a wrecked one. What are you going to do with a XR650 frame?

Are the mounts on that 500 motor the same as like a 250r if i got a rolling chassis? i suppose they could build the chassis for whatever. be a good woods quad i would think

Toyo, I like the idea of giving the lawn mower a liftand the chariot sounds like a innovative projects far as dui goes, you'll have to check your state laws. Here in Ca. people think or I should say thought, that they can operate anything other then a motor vehicle when they get popped. So, now, basically anything that moves, can get you a dui on public roads or waterwaysnd if your caught bui(boating under the influence) your insurance still goes up, and it has the same penalties as a car dui.

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

I understand motor vehicles. But seriously a horse or bicycle WTF? Like when i had my suspended liscense from the "DOL Hearing" Seperate from the criminal aspect of DUI. That B!tch had not the grounds to suspend my liscense cuz the officer had seriously screwed up in his procedure. she was a man hating feminazi. grrrrr. anyway so i had 90 day suspension then trial god that was a piece of work. Officer had completely fabricated his whole report as if straight outta a book to get a man convicted ya know. and then during pretrial hearings the officer never showed up so he couldnt be questioneed and they went off his false report. grrrrrr i was being made and example of and it was crap. there has been allot of changes in our DUI laws around here and i was gettin the stiff end. finally we plea bargined and got down to a Neg 1 for the Spinning of the tires. which let me say I DID NOT DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(edit) K im a tard agin. anyway what i was gettin at before sidetracked was that I got pulled over on my mt bike while on suspended and got all sorts of harrased (i wasnt wearing a helmet and had a backpack fulkl of BEER ) He was not bein nice to me. and i stayed calm kewl and collected. i think he wanted to fight but i wasnt lettin it go there. think was i was riding on the shoulder of the road in the BIKE LANE not swerving just goin home. what the hell if i am dumb enough to get my drunk arse runned over on a bicycle thats my choice. GOVERNMENT please stop tryin to tell me how to live. if i want to be dumb and ride my quad opr streetbike or whatever with out a helmet My choice all be it a dumb one. stop holding our hands and let us die. darwinism ya know the strong survive

You guys might has well be speaking that foreign language crap againalking all that 2 wheel m/c stuffBut, like Toyo said, we are getting older and I can tell you from experience, we don't heal as quickly as we used to do like te sound of engine swapping though.

Creator, In today's paper there is a crap load of toy trailers for sale. Been actually seeing a lot of large 31' plus trailers for sale. Wonder if they finally figured out the nissan or 1/2 tons can't haul that much and it's cheaper to get rid of the trailer, then the truck mean, buy a new truck for $40,000+++ or get a new trailer for $20,000+++.I don't know, haven't figured out why that is, the large trailers being sold. I guess with Thanksgiving coming up, people think it's time to sell now. While people are thinking about buying a toy trailer for the holidays.

Im still convinced its cheaper to have dogs, horses, quads and a PSD than a couple kids, and if you get the hankering for a kid someone will be more than happy to loan em to ya for a couple weeks

Posted by: rescuediver

Yea, even a horse or bicycle. They whole concept is to keep them off the roads. At all costs. I mean look it now, you have the pocket rockets now, last year it was the stand up weed eater motors on 2 wheels.
When does it stop? So, you take a person's D.L. for driving a car, now they just drive what ever they can afford, pocket rocket $200 or so, no insurance, etc. Who really is loosing on this deal? It's the next victim that is hit by this joker. My experience showed that pretty much, a one time drunk doesn't get caught after that "one" too many drink. It's the person who habitually drinks and drives. I mean, your number is bound to come up sooner or laternless you have real bad luck(like meMy luck, I would have one too many, and get caught trying to drive home understand you being upset about your situations. I wasn't there, so, I won't comment. But, down here, it's crazy. This weekend, CHP and the local City Police will have their respective "check points" working. I mean, we "advertise" in the paper and media, check points will be in effect. And we still catch people DUIot a weekend goes by, where you really don't have a fatality because of DUIs. And they are getting younger too

Or maybe us weight Nazi's are getting through to them! lol.

MD, on the topic of fines and what not, what's the fine (and VC) for talking on cell phone? My supervisor just asked me about it. I'm sure I can find the VC looking around, but not sure about the fine. I assume it's a moving violation.

There is no law in effect yet, for talking on the cell phone while driving. They are trying to get one passed specifically for it though think it will be a nightmare. Imagine all these idiots pulled over on I-5 and 99, just so they can talk on their cellhe gawkers are bad as it is. This is one of those laws that they need on the books, like we need a hole in the head. You will also see a law soon, where you can't smoke with young children in your carsow, Toyo, to me, that is invading in our privacy. Some laws, I tell youut, I chose this profession and I'll be,,,,Luckily, there are only 2 laws on the books, that tell me, what I shall do, and that is DUI and Domestic Violence laws. Everything else is officer discretionBR>

Posted by: rescuediver

Well, I can only say, you enjoyed 4 years of catching a breakand I'm glad you and no one was hurt during that span

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

I aint sayin i wasnt drunk at the time or anything. But its the whole principle of being pulled over for something i did not do nor is my truck capable of doing

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

My whole problem is i drove safer when i was a lil intoxicated. when sober Hang on. They reformed me though. i had 2yrs of 0 tolerance probabtion. no alcohol within 24hours of driving. if i was cought i would get mandatory 6month behind bars and 600 day suspended liscense. CRAP i was not willing to go thru so i said hell with the bottle. I definatly see allotta drunks on the road though and its scary. sometimes if i am feelin like havin fun i play with em and make em nervous I took the whole thing as a message from the man upstairs tellin me i have had my time to play and now you better grow up cuz that road is a dead end your on. Went thru a rough battle with depression wrote allot of poetry and songs and whatnot and came out a happy man with a direction in life.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

I kinda figured that after a google search landed me at the CHP site saying so. I was floored. All these damn cell phone companies trying to sell accessories. Maybe they are just nailing people in Fresno using a generic VC section. I try to limit my usage...especially since I THOUGHT it was the law. And to think the CHP was AGAINST the law. Now they are for it. But from what you said about idiots stopping on the freeways (illegal) or highways (legal I suppose). Maybe they'll build more rest-stops sponsored by the cell phone companies. Welcome to Cingular Safety Rest Stop (or whatever they call them.) Allow them say a 10 year ground lease if they pay for the bathrooms and tables. Now that's an idea.

Posted by: rescuediver

Toyo, I don't know you, other then on the forums. But, by the way you talk, express yourself can only think you are a better personnd just because someone is caught by DUI, doesn't mean, By KNOW MEANS, they are a bad person

Posted by: rescuediver

Skinner, there is a general "catch all" section for inattentive driver, that's how you catch people putting on make-up, read the morning paper etc. They might be using that section. But, the officer has to show your actions were a "danger" versus a specific section for just yaking in a cell phone. I never have cited someone for that specific section. But, I work for the S/O and unless I work in a contract city, I wouldn't have a use for that specific section. I have other things to focus on. Now, CHP, they are the protector of our states roadways. So, I would expect that from them. I mean, if you saw CHP continually let people break a certain law, and you knew it was their job to enforce that law. Wouldn't you start looking the other way and ignore the law yourself, if CHP showed they really didn't care? Does that make sense?

And I think your onto something there about the reststops. I think you should contact your local legislator and have him put that in the billod knows, the cell companies could afford it.

MD: Actually it's been the Fresno PD. Don't even get my boss going on them. (He's a Fresno S/O Air Squadron Reserve member...he flied the big guys. Sacramento for legislative meetings. Or to go pick up bad boys and girls in other states.) Fresno PD didn't enforce traffic very much as all the money went to the S/O. Now they have a revenue sharing agreement so they have at least doubled traffic division. Clovis PD has always been VERY aggressive in traffic. All officers are on traffic duty. As there isn't much crime here it works good. THough they have a couple of MC officers.

And Clovis just has a really "bad" reputation. And the PD does nothing to correct it. People from outside Clovis just don't want to fool around in Clovis. If you live here, you just know to make sure none are around here. But they went and changed up the colors on the PD cars. They were white w/ blue stripe. Now they are black w/white doors with a neat mural on the rear door. So they almost look like CHP when they are following you. Fresno PD I don't think they can decide what color they want their units to be. Some are white w/black door, others are opposite, some are all white w/blue stripe. It's insane. (Clovis Unified SD PD was close but the stripe was darker blue front half, and maroon on the back half of the car w/tinted rear windows and different light bar.)

LJ: That sounds good. I can bring up the car. Better mileage and less to fill it up in the first place. And less stuff to have to pack. This time I'll bring sunscreen...no more burnt kneecaps. OMG that HURT! And I'll bring the quads up...if I can figure out WTF I did with them.

My cell bill isn't that bad. Like $70 every mo. for 2 lines. It was running me $50 until I got my bro. a line for $9.99....then add the $4 for phone insurance. The rest is taxes and fees. I get the insurance. My previous phone Siemens S40 was a POS. I finally had it and told them I couldn't even make a phone call. The dude in the store tried calling to get my VM. WOuldn't go through so for $50 (which the boss reimbursed me as I use my cell for work...about once a mo. LOL) they gave me a Motorola V60. Just what I wanted. NEVER EVER get a phone with an internal antena. THEY SUCK! That phone was cool and had nice features...if you could get a signal.

The best cell I ever had was a Motorla i1000Plus through Nextel. The speakerphone was as clear as the normal speaker in it. Beautiful. And rugged. I kicked that thing across the parking lot asphalt when I dropped it once. Scratched it, but that was it. And it's a flip phone. They made some rugged phones too. I can only imagine the abuse they could take. They were geared towards construction companies.

But I only use about 200 day use minutes (600 plan, unused rolls over). Night is like 5,000. It's my main phone. Most people don't even know the home number. Plus, I try to be there as little as possible.

And Clovis just has a really "bad" reputation. And the PD does nothing to correct it. People from outside Clovis just don't want to fool around in Clovis. Skinner, Hhmmm, Around here, each agency gets a certain percentage from the fines their respective officers cite. Usual break down, is state coffers, local courts, chp(yes, chp benefits from other agencies)then your agency. But, the percentage to local agency is real low, like 6% if I remember correctly.

Don't get me started on aerosquadron usage. They never seem to be around when you need themor something that cost literally $500 an hour to fly, you think we would have themmore to fight crimeut, like yours, ours is a escort service.

The car change is the beginning of a public relations thing. They try to charge their image by visually changing things, like patrol units color schemes, uniform colors. But, in reality, what they need to change, they don't. Upper administration or the "good ole boy system" I'll get off my horse now

Thats why i want some sorta stealth coating for my truck its not like i drive fast. maybe 70ish in a 60 and 80 in a 70 and so one. occasionally i go 98mph cuz thats how fast the truck goes till it shuts off. thats at about 3500 rpm. lol i got lots more to go and the powers just commin on in the lil truck that is. The new WSP bikes are pretty kick but they have BMWs i seen em goin at a pretty good clip past me when i was doin 90 I was crappin my drawers 90 in a 60 with flashin lights chargin on ya, get over and they go flyin past. like fwew. One thing i do notice around these parts trucks get pulled over way less than cars.

[3rd grader question] Sooo. whats the fastest you guys have been in a vehicle? whether on a track or not. [/3rd grader question]

I would say 125+ in a blown mustang gt. that was great. ahahha 0-Sh1t your pants fast in about 13 seconds.

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

Umm lets see which time. I was doin 150 on a ZX11 in a 30mph? I been doin 155 in a BMW M3 in a 25 thru a red light sliding in the rain. A couple days later my buddy wrapped that car around a telephone pole 32" embedment thru the center console, car got so hot while the pole was goin thru melted his nike's to the floor.

The S/O here has a helicopter. Most of it was paid for by a citizen's campaign called 'Operationg Skywatch'. It was supposed to be a combined Fresno S/O and PD unit. But they city and county are always in a pissing match...kinda like Hoss's boy. So they split the money. S/O bought a used turbine helo from Phoenix. PD bought a couple of crappy piston Enstrom's that don't have enough power in the summer to carry all their night vision gear. So they are getting rid of those and picked up a turbine of their own. (The chief pilot, civilian, actually used to fly the S/O's helo when it was in AZ.)

My boss mainly did the Aero Squadran thing so he can get his CWP without much of a hassle I think. He's one of those gun toting NRA lunatics. j/k He used to competition shoot all the time. Has 3 on the permit...cause I think it was the only three of the guns he has that you can carry with a CWP. Everything else is older I guess and not approved.

Though, I do like the new color scheme. Just took some brain adjustment to look for em.

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

Man all this helicopter talk is depressing me. You realize if i wasnt color blind i could possibly be flying a RAH-66 COMANCHE STEALTH HELICOPTER!!!! img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0"> I got to ride in an apache. and let me tell you thats all i ever wanted to do after that was be in the marines or army and fly helicopters. i was shatterd at 18 shattered i tell you. straight up crap Now one day i may not be able to fly for military or comercially but i will somehow get my pilots liscense when i come up with the huge cash and time to get it done. i got my eye on a lil chopper

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

I've seen the Cameros around Fresno. Including one sitting in the drivethrough at a local Starbucks. No more donut houses...they've gone upscale! And yeah, the little buggers (light bars) are hard to see. I remember back in HS this kid said he was gonna fight a ticket he got for rolling a stop sign because the officer was in an unmarked car "and they have to be in an unmarked car!" Took a bit to regain my compuser from LMAO. The teacher's assist. told him it doesn't matter. He used to be a trucker but got tired of it. Said the CHP had a pink car of some kind. Used to see it around the Grapevine.

I remember everyone made a big stink about the CHP passing on HD and going to BMWs. I think they are pretty cool looking. Cheaper in the long run. Safer (how about anti-lock brakes!). I think all of the agencies here have, or are moving to BMW. Fresno PD runs a couple of different models. One is lilke the CHP and the other is more like an enduro type of bike. Funny lookin little things. But they are buying them for all the new traffic officers so they are probably a bit cheaper than the full on BMWs. Too bad for my ATV dealer...they serviced all the old Kawis. They had the highest priority of any customer.

Fastest I've been...ummm 95 or so trying to get past some damn garlic trucks on SR 46 going east bound from Paso Robles. Where the passing lanes are just before you start to climb up. I think right before the Cholame Safety Stop....I think MD is familiar with that stop from what he said earlier.

Dats toooo fasssstttt!! lol

Let me be the first to tell you two lane roads with no shoulders and trees on the sides at 150mph get really frickin small and you feel like your in star trek goin to warp speed ggoin by all the street lights.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

Hell the car goes like 118 tops I think. SO she was close to the end of the line. And that was fast enough for me. It is really a dangerous section of road. Daytime Headlight area. That's one thing I WISH they'd make mandatory in the US is DRLs. They are one thing that really makes a different. Hell, I know you used to be able to buy the part for Dodge's for like $50 from the dealer. Just plugs in. I'm assuming into the fuse panel. Not sure though. No quoting! I always, unless I forget like 1x a month or I'm driving a car I'm not used to, drive with my headlights on.

OK, this thread is popping today.

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

My headlights are on 100% of the time brrr its cold in here j/k but seriously I turn the lights on in the truck everytime. its a process. get in - buckle up - start it up - flip the headlights on - push in the clutch agin - HAUL ARSE

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

I bet a PSD with 3.5's could do 140+

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

Me I get in, put the key in, turn lights on, start it. Reason for this...have to. It's an anti-theft thing. I tell someone that and they are "bought it at the Dodge dealer hah?" I guess they are the only ones who put that system in. Another Daewoo I drove you had to flip the passing lights on.

Work truck I am also very good about turning them on. Office manager makes comments sometimes. But it's usually to the tune that I'm a really safe driver as I always drive extra safe (note, that doesn't mean SLOW) when I'm ferrying people around. Unless it's my bro...he was with me at 95 and scared the crud outta him.

Toyo, CHP in our area doesn't run motorcycles. Area commander said he has buried to many of his friends from on duty m/c crashes. But, other area CHP offices, run BMWs too. Local agencies run Harleys.

LJ, I have gone 146 mph on a Kawasaki 1000 motorcycle. Scared $h!tle$$ Patrol vehicle code 3, 130 mph, talk about having balls of fire and your hair on fire. But, at the same time a million things going through your mind, type of call your responding too, what will you do, going on scene, where are other cars going code 3 coming from, answer/talk on the radio, watch all the cars on the road with you, how many refuse to pull over, coming up on a red light, stop look into the other drivers eyes, etc. Not everything people make it out to be. But, it is a blast, when it's all said and done.

First off I have to say...thank you guys for taking it easy this weekend. I was up the hill playing in LJ's backyard (more on that in a minute) w/o any internet access. Funny thing is, didn't even miss it for about the first time.

Ok so this weekend I went up to the Company Condo (gotta love the perks) in the company truck (gotta REALLY love that) with my quad (awww gotta love THAT!) Had a nice relaxing time out exploring the trails and getting turned around and ending up where we weren't planning on going with LJ is his Jeep with his pup. Cool dog.

About 5 min. after getting back to the Condo 2 more of my friends show up (the one who got pulled over pulling a trailer at 85!). Anyways, her boyfriend just got a new Bomb DS650 Baja X. NICE bike. We went up to Miami for the day and had a blast. Nothing too technical (for up there anyways.) Finally made it through a series of ruts without having to get unstuck (Stagecoach off of Shady heading back to up 6S14 or whatever it is up there [for LJ]).

First time I've put fresh gas in since the beginning of July. It's been that long! Had to check to make sure 5th and 6th gear were still there...I took off down the road for about a 5 min. run and had to wait for about 1-2 minutes for my buds to "catch up." They were just having back from the massive cloud of dust. Had to plug one tire (got punctured last time I guess cause it was flat when I got there.)

Hope everyone else had a good time. And LJ wanna do a long distance run next weekend?

MD: I used to be a big COPS fan. Watched every weekend. One of the best quotes I used to remember was this one officer, something to the tune of, "I love this job! What other job can you go 60MPH down a one-way street going the wrong way!" While responding to a man with a gun call.

I'll try to be good...COPS is actually in Fresno right now for a few weeks filming....

Posted by: rescuediver

Skinner, The feeling is quite exhilaratingn Fresnohhmmmmn that could be good or bad. I guess it depends on how you look at it can't watch those "real shows" even though it is filmed "live" it still is made for t.v. The local station used to run with our dept for awhile. I never watched it. I guess, when you live it, you can see through whats real and whats "for t.v."

It does sound like you are a little more relaxed from your weekend at the condo. Glad you had a good time and made it back safelyhen things slow down for me and the rains startto keep the dust down We'll have to get together and ride.

Did you get to ride the DS650? That is a big machine. You know I've never had gas problems in any of my machines. Sometimes they sit 3+ months without starting. Although, I do try to start them every few weeks, if we don't ride for awhile

I'm gone for 3 days, you guys post tons and talked about nothing img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">. Well, guess I better add to it.We went to an atv club poker run weekend. 2 days of riding and then we had to come home the day of the actual run because I had a business committment. but we still got 2 long days of riding more really cool trails. put on about 50 miles per day, with family and discovered some great stuff for future rides. we had about 50 people camped out and they were expecting around 200 for the Sunday ride.

psd pulled the Coquihalla great. man that's a long steep run to 6500 feet. I had to gear to 2nd for a fairly long stretch up steep grade, but it sure is easier on the tranny. can't believe I pushed it so hard before to go an extra 5-10MPH.

still can't figure out the Lowrance GPS I got for Father's Day. flagging ribbon works so well, and is pretty easy to use and is more reliable for re-tracing steps ( which is all I'm interested in the GPS for). and I bought a used digital camera for rides, but batteries died so i need to get good rechargeables for this one. once I figure out how to download from new camera, I'll send ya a couple of pics of the 4 quads loaded onto the deck.

yeah man.. We should try to ride up Shuteye. Everything is looking good for getting the quad back this week..
Glad you guys had fun. I wish i could have ridden this weekend.
I never did find out what that be cloud of smoke was yesterday. But i saw it lingering for the rest of the day. No sign of it today though. *shrugs*
Did you hear about that big fire near mariposa? I was thinking about driving up there but mom wouldnt let me go. Gee wonder why? lol We could see and smell the smoke pretty well. Its burned 400 acres so far. and only 10% contained. I can kinda see a glow tonight. But im not positive thats it though.

Dad was looking at used quads today online and he saw a nice used Ds650 for sale for like 4600. He asked what it was and i said my dream quad.. lol He said "oh".. lmao

Btw Stagecoach rocks!!!

MD: Yeah, the FPD Chief (Dyer) was worried about the way Depts. were portrayed. There's an order about not playing up to the camera and just do their job. They are supposed to be riding with some of the special crime units or whatever they are called. Used to be called VCSU (Violent Crime Supression Unit). That was a big deal when they started it up...were running 4 man units from the SWAT team in each car. Made for some good pics on the front page of The Bee up here....fully geared up SWAT guy pointing an MP-5 at someone on the ground...you can only guess how well THAT went over with some people.

The nice thing is that the mud isn't all that nasty up at Miami. Ends up being more soupy, not sticky nasty stuff. Have to watch those 6th gear runs over little rises in the road...cause it drops you into a big puddle on the other side. Friend with new DS has an LT250 that he soaked the filter in 2x up there. You can get a nice rhythm going around the corners up there...have to be on your toes for other riders and cars. I've come close to some head-ons with cars.

We ended up behind this guy going REALLY slow in a Toyota T100. If we tried to pass he would try to squeeze. So I pulled a NASCAR trick and set him up. Kept going for the drive side. He had to come over for rut to the drive side so I let off cranked it right hammered down....I think he got a little dusty when I took the next corner and hung the back end out for him. He did the same thing to my other two friends. I didn't see him do it, but they said he tried to squeeze me off the side of the road. That's the ONLY time I've ever been a rude rider.

I didn't get a chance to ride it. I'm rather skiddish of riding someone else bike. Don't want to have to pay to fix it if I break it and definately don't want a ruined friendship over a bike. I've ridden on a DS before just quick pulling some donuts at Pismo. They are nice machines. I love the fit. More upright and standing up on the pegs is less of a strain.

Only thing mine does is it seems to puff a little blue after she's sat for a while. Not sure where the oil is getting in there. But once she's warm she doesn't do it. It did it last weekend when I cleaned it up and put the nobbies on. But didn't do it this morning.

We only road Stagecoach south of Shady. Didn't get stuck. Had to rock her a few time on belly and rear skid but not much. I'm getting the hang of that section. We didn't go south of 6S24 on Stagecoach. I think that's the ever nastier section. Shawna was sore and didn't want to hit Kiser. I think I would have done a decent descent this time.

Bike was running awesome too. If felt soooo good just to get out and open it up the roads. I owned all on 6S15, 24, 17, and 41. A few close calls on 17 had me backing off. No rattlers this time. I was staying in 5th on 41 when I came up on that d0rk (oh come on...that word is filtered?) in the T100. Picked him up after 41B. Wasn't that far but the cars & trucks just have to drive so flippin SLOW.

So were gonna hit Shuteye? That works.

I saw the smoke when we left this evening. Figured something was burning somewhere. Also seen a dozer on a CDF Lowboy when we were pulling up the climb heading south out of Oahusrt. Lovely...get to stop dead 3/4 of the way up. Seen two crew trucks heading up when I got down to Chuckhoweveryouspellthatflippincasino in Coursegold.

I saw a couple of nice cars getting off of 41 @ Herndon in Fresno. A Jag E-tupe (green) on a car hauler and some kind of orange 50 hotrod. The plate was something with 50 in it. No clue what it was though.

Hey guys, i've been lurking for a while but thought i would post again. The DS 650 is an awesome quad. They are very very reasonable used and they are probably the most reliable quad out there. I've yet to have to take my DS back to the dealer. I upgraded from a 2000 to a 2002 baja and now a 2004 baja x and they have all been perfect quads without a single problem.

Back to the topic, how are all of your PSD's running. Mine is still running good. Had a great time out at Sand Mountain over labor day weekend. We had a get together called DS Days out there and had close to 40 DS 650's. It was awesome. Several of them were turbo charged and lots of them have nitrous and big bores.

Theres a town in washington where i think its an ordinance that you drive a PSD and have Banks powerpacks and gauges and crap. lift kits are optional but most have.

Posted by: Trasher

My kind of town

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

The thing about this town im not sure whateveryone does to be able to afford a $42k truck and throw another 10-15 grand after maket crap on it. WTF ohh and there is a picture of the 99 PSD at the end of my Gallery now. Who knows who that redneck standin by the truck is???

Hi guys! Man, I'm so far out of the loop I don't even know where the loop is.

I was on vacation last week doing the 21st annual Desert Rats get together with my long time buddy. This was the first trip where we both had quads (mine being the addition). We were out at Treasure City/Hamilton which is just east of Ely, NV. What a great time. Rode and rode and rode (and came back to camp and drank beer, and beer, and more beer). Now it's back to work for a week, then off for another week - this time it's my wife and I. Back to Mina, NV where there is endless riding as well.

Sorry I fell off the edge here in the "private forum", but I'm just not home enough to keep up with you guys. When I get in off the road and check my email, there's at least a million notifications of new posts here. GASP!!! It's hell being out of the loop!

Anyway, just thought I'd stop by quickly and let you know I'm still breathing and not snubbing you guys. Keep this string going and in a few years when I retire I'll be able to hold my own...

See ya!!!!!!!!!

Creator, You changed your avatorhen I saw it initially, I thought I was in the wrong threadBR>
Skinner and LJ, There are a couple fires going out. One had a CDF female firefighter loose her lifeSo, SADimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
Over the winter, I will have to hook up with you two and do some of this riding you guys go on. I know I plan on doing as much riding over the fall/winter that I canBR>Skinner, I would think the DS would be a good size quad for you when you decide to upgrade from your warrior. Not that there is anything wrong with a warriorBR>I saw they put a chain fence around the shopping center. Guess, they got tired of being hitBR>
Toyo, Sounds like a city in Washington has their stuff togetherOur PSD's would fit perfectly there know around here, a lot of the dealers are doing the lifts and charging a big time mark up. See alot of kids driving them. Guess, if you want to pay the big bucks go for it.With rates being low, kinda makes sense.
I saw the picture of your truck. Only thing you need to do, is attach a chain to the front bumper and a tree, then stretch that thing into a crewcabimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
You couldn't get the rappy running right

Posted by: rescuediver

Confused, That's some good mileage you put on the quadsTo bad you had to leave before the big event. Did you get the instruction manual with the gps? If so, open it up and read it know when I got my unit, it took me awhile to figure out how the thing worksNow, I love it. I haven't mastered everything the thing can dout, like you, I use it to get back to where we startedI do like playing with it in the PSD on long tripshinking about getting an external antenna for it. I do need to get a ram holder for the quad thoughBR>
Toyo, I 'd have to guess, it's you in the picture. It is kind of far away and whoever it is, they are hiding under that 10 gallon hatBR>
Jetsnow, welcomeMy PSD is running great just love driving that thing think I drive it too much. Need another oil changeeems like I get one every 45-60 daysor 5000-6000 milesBR>
Maybe Hoss is taking care of the wife. She was to have her surgery this week sometime

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

Ohh i dunno. rappy runs good by all i feel she just has an oil leak that i dont wanna fix and its under warranty so they should fix it. i supposed when i had it all apart 1 of the 900 times i couldnt pulled the cover and stuff but yeah thats their job take the free labor while ya can get it. as for the just extended cab i know i know. we have a 96 crew cab psd though. does that count the friggin crew cab long box takes more room to turn around than the Kenworth draggin a 40' lowboy. sometimes when your draggin ponies up in the woods the tighter turnin truck is to your advantage. we have a stretch of road between federal way and fife on I5 when your rollin in the Crew cab psd its like riding a buckin bull. just the wrong wheelbase so it bucks ya good with the stiff suspension. best not have to pee. although there is a weigh station with porta potties each direction if it catches ya off gaurd Man i had bowling tonight. first night of league. lets just say i SUCKED!!! well its not so bad since establishing average and all friggin sandbagger

forgot to mention, Canada plays for it all tomorrow, so cheer for us canuckleheads in the world cup of hockey (too bad the US had to lose to Finland, otherwise, there'd be some braggin rights on the line). and maybe it would give the sport a better profile in the US. hard to believe baseball, which could easily pass as a natural sedative, has tons more viewership than hockey. whenever I see benches clear in baseball I laugh. they fight like schoolgirls (the 1 or 2 that actually throw them). you wanna see good toe to toe action ( on skates no less), watch a hockey fight video. way better than UFC, cuz it's all toe to toe, with no wrestling.

GO CANADA!!

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

Yeah yeah yeah you canucklehead. I used to play hocky i know about fighting. I spent more time in the penalty box than on the ice you dam candadians think your hocky teams are so great.. puhh! candians are racists. i mean hell look at the way ya all cheer about a bunch of white dudes beatin on a black puck. couldnt it be blue or sompin. i mean damm
