Me too. He got a line on a job here with a company. They told him they wanted to bring him in for an interview, then he heard from another member who's employed there that they already filled the position. BR>

Well I was out on the truck again today. I have to say the pogostick really suprised me today. Not sure how, but somehow I managed 8.77MPG! That was for the round trip. I need to check each leg. Though I did run through about 18 gallons and change for 169.8 miles. That's between 8.98 and 9.4 MPG. Was pretty light going over towing the tandam axle hydraulic with the cruise, running 55-60 the entire way. Well, 'cept climbing Pacheco. Coming back I had a Ditch Witch in the trailer, tugger in a big steal box and some empty wire spools. No tach but she was spinning pretty good in 2nd coming back climbing pass. 35 min, up to about 55 on the less steep spots. Though I did crawl for about 4 miles through Prunedale...they (CalTrans) was pruning the trees. Took me probably 20 minutes. BR>
Mileage was hand calced, well, calced with a calculator. LOL. And I looked and found out it's a 4.63 rear. Always thought it was a 4.88.
I must say that it REALLY impressed me today. I've gotten mid-8s w/o a trailer. Guess it was keeping her slow and using the cruise. Though I think the speedo is off. I had it set at about 62, hit the radar at Prunedale and said I was doing 57. I think I was more impressed climbing. I figured it for another 1st gear screamer at 20MPH. LOL Though actually watching the fuel gauge move DIDN'T suprise me.
Now if the boss would only buy a new truck with a PSD (F-550) or CAT (F-650) under the hood.

When we went to the concert Saturday night, I filled up the next morning and I got 20+ mpg on the way to and from SacramentoNeedless to say, I was very surprised. Last time I got mileage like that, it was on a trip home from Idaho. I really can't figure out why the big jumpDriving habits really haven't changedOnly changed the air filter about a month ago and I always top the truck off when I fill it up, so, it can't be I short change the tank after I filled up. I think part of it this time may have been I was quick to kill the cruise control in the hills and did a lot of locking out OD sooner. That was making a HUGE difference on coolant temp. With the flat bed you never know if you get it topped off or not. More often then not you end up wearing some. Going down a forgot to flip the switch and pretty much emptied the tank. They are 18 gal and I put in nearly 19, IIRC. But the filler pipe is horizontal and 2+ feet long. And for some reason, we don't lose as much at Chevron stations. The handle's work better I guess. Longer tube maybe. Both fillups today were minimal spillage though.
I almost hit the scale at the winery just to see where I was. LOL Not sure if it would have tweaked them or not to do that.

Wes got prooooblems now.
I still havent gotten the registration on my car yet..
The reason? The dealer never got it smogged.. So they called us and told us that we needed to get it smogged and that theyed pay for it..

Problem with those stickers are, they don't tell the whole truth. With todays booming aftermarketa lot of vehicles aren't in the same condition as when those stickers were first posted.

Actually, I think "IF" you don't wreck itand Hold on for another year, you might be able to squeeze a little more out of it. After all, it is relatively new and not much cheaper than a new one, even with the aftermarket parts, If I was looking, I'd buy new myself. So, I'd let the new quads sell a little higher (next year model)and you might get someone to pay a little bit more for yours. However, I don't think another few hundred dollars is worth holding on to it if you really want that Canadian girl here tomorrowLOL!!

Well, he doesn't even have his license yet. And I'm tired of shuffling his @ss around.
Friend had something about it months ago when he was trying to get rid of it and his old K10 Blazer (blown tranny). His parents gave him a nice Explorer (Eddie Baure or a Limited, not sure) that just needed about $800 worth of work done to it. This was like a late 90s model. Still had a solid rear axle. The small Blazer has been confined to his back yard looking for a home. It was a gift from his bro and he only dropped in a CD player.
Of course I gotta teach myself to drive a stick. Shouldn't be too hard because of the quad. Everything I've driven has always been AT, except for this POS fork lift we have at the
