I think we need a good half-dozen parties, or no parties at all. At least they would all be fighting each other that they couldn't screw over the citizens.

So you're okay with the religious right listening in on your phone conversations, reading your email, doubling your minimum credit card payments, invading helpless countries, killing thousands of our best and youngest, breaking all kinds of public laws, causing OIL PRICES TO DOUBLE, pushing jobs overseas, etc.? I figure their next move will be to assign us to a church of their choosing if we're not already assimilated....
By the way, the tax breaks for the rich? Did you know that 85% of the money in the US is held by the top 15% of the wealthy families?
But, you bring up a great point! Whatever your views are...get out there and let your politicians know how you feel about their performance! And, if you don't vote you don't have the right to complain. Just show up for the assigned religious services as instructed. (Just don't drink the koolaid!)
Thanks for setting that one up for me...you're a great straight man!

just that you know Edmonton vs Carolina is the finals is very impressive. It's a bit more entertaining than years gone past, as they're calling most penalties now. i haven't had much time to watch. I was gonna sit down the other night, and my son wanted to play road hockey. he said, "C'mon, playing is way better than watching"... And I thot, I used to think the EXACT same thing when i was his age, so we just played road hockey instead.

Im gone 4 days and there are only 9 posts in here? I sure hope everyone had as much fun as I did last weekend. I even stayed a extra day and came home yesterday.
The F350 did good and ate lots of gas like everyone said it would too. 7mpg towing, about 4 mpg on the beach. My F150 was 10 mpg towing and 7 mpg on the beach. Im thinking that headers, a FIPK K&N and a MSD ignition wouldnt hurt the 460 any. Any of you ever try any of those on a 460?

Good morning all
I haven't been anywhere but working for the last week. Some huge deals are in the works and I have had to work for a change

Yeah work here too...kinda. But I still spend most of the time screwing off. But I don't feel like posting to see myself post. Venture on to some airsoft forums and other stuff.
I love emergency calls in the AM. OK, so I was a little late. "I think my computer crashed." So I rush to work and there's a damn floppy disk in the drive so it's trying to boot from it.

I had a customer stating that ever since I installed our program on his new computer that it had issue with starting up. I went back out on site and asked him to show me what happening.
He had it running and was going through the steps he takes when turning off the PC. He was done working in our program and then just pushes the power off button . No closing the program. No going to start, shutdown, OK.
Just power off. When he starts it back up he has these warnings and starts into scan disk.
What a friggin nut case. Go figure...........

Yes I did! How about you Trasher?

It was a good day. Went out golfing with the kid and kicked his tail He's been hitting the ball very well lately and I started off well and hit 18 fairways. That's been the biggest help to my game lately. He had a hard time from the start and it went downhill from there.
Posted by: mywifesquad
I played some golf with my dad before he died. Its a tough game, thats for sure. I never wanted to spend the time necessary to get good at it. That and I did it to spend time with my dad.
I spent a few bucks on the '92 F350 yesterday and today. I got a set of Bilstein all around and a Rough Country Steering stabilizer too. Then for the engine I got a MSD 6A ignition, a MSD SS coil and a set of MSD 8.5mm plug wires!! I know its not a PSD, but it is a FORD!!

And it's paid forBR>
The ignition system upgrades are nice but try to focus on gettin air into the motor and then back out. IE:- Air filter system and headers with larger diameter exhaust pipes and mufflers. Let that puppy breathe.....
Ever try driving a vehicle with a vaccumn gauge? You would be amazed at how much better gas mileage you will get if you try to keep the vaccumn level high. Every time you stomp on it, the needle will go to zero. (and so will your wallet)

Yes it is!!
It has a 3" exhaust with a Flowmastermuffler. I have a FIPK K&N from my F150 Im going to put on it too. I just couldnt find headers for less than about $600.00 and figured the money wouild be better spent on a ignition upgrade and some shocks. And the A/C parts too.
I have only done that once and it was pretty shocking. That might be a great idea for this truck.

I recently traded my 2002 F350 Extended Cab for an '02 Crew Cab F350 dually. Both have the 7.3 and are great. I really wish I still had the extended cab back because the dually is way too much truck. It has the Eclipse Custom package with ground effects, CB, Woodgrain interior, All Leather, DVD/VHS...
I needed a crew cab because my 12 y/o daughter is now 5'9" and my 17 y/o son is too...they couldn't sit comfortably in the extended cab.
I'm probably gonna trade it soon even tho it only has 65,000 miles

Well fellers, I'm on vacation for the next 2-weeks. I'm heading to Fish Lake tomorrow for a few days...riding the Polaris and wifey. We found a babysitter for the first trip. Then another trip of camping for a week. However, I get the honor of finishing a bathroom during the break as well. I guess I started on it a year ago...so wifey is getting pissed. Oh course, I remodeled the rest of the house as well.

Mine were on ebay. 4 for $239.00. Not the rezzie ones. I was going to get the KYB's for $200.00 and they droppped the price of the Bilsteins $25.00 I can get you a link if you want.
I only have one but if my trailer didnt have a awning Id have more.
I got the MSD installed last nite and will be checking milage/performance this weekend.

Going to go shoot people instead up in the hills. (Chilkoot Lake area)

LMFAO. Yeah, it can be a pITA. Especially if you're avoiding ripping a paddle. If you're worried about that, leave nobbies on. Just change em on the beach.
What my buddy does in is truck (it's a D/A with the same tires (well, that you guys used to have...the Steeltex) so you *should* be able to do it....just go LOW on the tires.) He throws it in 2WD and buries the @ss. 4WD just pulls it right out.

Yeah, ill try burying the back end.. Thats what i was planning on.. Or finding a little hole.. These tires are awsome that are on there now.. Im sure if theyre aired down i wouldnt have any problem anywhere out there.

Alas....I used to have a 02 F-350 with a 7.3. I loved that truck. She was loaded. Leather...heated seats...beautiful. I defected. Got me a Cummins now
But I still like Ford. As long as it's not a 03 with a 6.0L. Not a good year for the Powerstroke IMHO.

LJ, I've been there beforeDigging the back tires into the sand to lower the back end to make loading quads a little easierYour truck should have no problems pulling itself out of the situation
Posted by: rescuediver
I did a little TLC on the PSD over the weekendWashed her real good and removed the two front wheels to buff them outMan, I shouldn't let them go this long with out a good cleaningNow to do the back two

Hello all Ford Truck Owners!!
PS01, I do the bury the 2 back tires in the sand deal too.
My MSD 6A and SS Coil combined with a tune up made a big difference to my F350. It now pulls strong about 1K rpm lower than before. And my mileage went up too.
Everyone have a great 4th of July!!! img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

My oldest son airs down the street tires on his GMC silverado 2wd truck to 8psi and goes any where he wants to. Out into the dunes/sand Hiway at Pismo is not a problem for him. He has even stopped to help out guys in 4wd trucks. Im guessing those guys dont know how to drive.

It went from 6/7 to 8/9, not huge but I like the way it pulls from about 1200 rpm now. It was in a serious need of a tune up any way and probubly would have improved by 1 with just new plugs, wire and a cap/rotor. Now i need to install the K&N FIPK and look for some headers. The A/C stuff should get put on this weekend and that will be BR>
The good news is the back yard work that I needed to do is now 95% complete and I just need to dig a couple of holes for plants for the wife. BR>

The key to moving in the sand is keeping those tires floating on the top.

I've been noticing a large amount of fires around town this year. Had one up north close to lake that had smoke running along the hills forever. Haven't seen the news, where's everything burning at? Along the I-5 corridor? No clue where Frank Raines is. Just know its up there somewhere (always thought it was east of 99...guess not.)

Frank Raines is 17 mile west of I-5/Patterson. If you've gone past Sperry and I-5 you've passed the exit to the park and to Diablo Grande, which where this fire is threateningWe had ash in town today and we're about 30 miles awayimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">

Guess I missed the sign the few times I've been up the 5 that way. Usually I was hauling @ss to get up to Tracy because they needed something up there. Or I saw the sign, but have since forgotten in my feeble old age.

Yea, at mach 1 you can miss itIf you remember where Casa Grande is in the middle of nowhereThen that's the turn off. Right now you can tell by the burned mountain sidesUp in Diable crews have actually stopped working to conserve water in case the fire turns towards the houseRight now, the the fire is burning around Diablo Grande and one ridge away from eating up hundreds of expensive homesimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">One of our crews took pictures today and it looked like something from mars with the red/orange haze blocking the sun.

Well. I imagine with our property the way it is itd be a pretty safe place if we did have some fires up here. And ive been told to just STAY PUT. Since were surrounded by feilds.. *shrugs* Got the horses to think about as well.
And theres plenty of escape routes..
But, this stuff does burn quick..

Well, it should be clear over in Salinas/Marina/Monterey where I'm headed tomorrow and Sat. Going over through Coalinga to pick up my bro in Gonzales, then coming back the "normal" way 156/152 so I guess I'll see it pretty good on Sat. But it might be dark by that time though. Hard to say. Leaving Marina about 5:30 or so.

I went to Pebble Beach yesterday with a friend to drop off his 5th wheel for a huge horse show at the equestrian compound there. While hauling this behemoth 5th wheel, I got to see how well the Banks six gun PDA workedPretty sweet, especially when it started sounding when the oil temp hit 225 degreesimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">After all it was 100 outafter looking at the situation and his alarm being set a little too conservativewe up the alarm to 245 and watch the temp. It didn't get over 236 and that was going up the long grade on Hwy 152 over Pacheco Pass. EGR stayed around 1300. What's funny was, when we hit 64 degrees in Monterey, the EGR dropped to around 250 degreesI can definately see the importance of watching your tempsespecially towing these bigger units on a very hot day. On the down side, his mpg were around 6-8but of course, if you can afford the big behemoth rigsyou should be able to afford the fuel to take them placesIf not, no sympathy from me

We rented an '05 Taurus and I was really disappointed with the mileage. 22.5 or so. Though I did see 99.9 briefly on the way back coming down Pacheco by San Luis Res. (80MPH in OD w/o cruise.) Not that I would ever speed. BR>
Went through Pacheco both times. It was shorter that way since I was picking up a friend in Madera, than going the other way I had planned.
Game kinda blew. Oh well. We played 2, waited for the raffle and then bailed.

Wow!!! Looks like the wife is going to park her car on the streetWhen I made our reservations, I made twoHowever, I forgot that I was to make a 3rd for a friend going with us. Maybe I'll get him to park his on the street, especially seeing his is a 2 wheel drive vehicle

I was thinking the same thing. LOL I don't know how loud, but it's pretty loud. And it doesn't even sound cool. LOL Has a 2 cylinder motor in there of some kind. Subaru maybe. That's the "Cr@p the power's out and we need to get to work so lets pull out 5 power cords, a distribution box and the genny." Reminds me one of these days I need to check her out. Make sure the battery is charged. That thing is a b!tch to replace. Take half the thing apart to do it.

I hate it when you need to tear something apart like that, just to fix something like a battery
Speaking of electrical, I've spent my week at work updating the electrolier specs at one of our huge master plan subdivision. What a pain in the buttI have all this electrical stuff spread out on my desk and still am confused as heck

I tried to make reservations at Pismo for the 3rd week in October and it kicked me offIt says there are over 400 sites availableWonder what gives It can't be the 6 or so reservations in my reservation box

I've thought of that. Just not keen on leaving the company truck out there. Though a couple years ago nearly our entire camp was parked out on the first street west of California behind the mexican place there at Pier. Hardly anyone had reservations. It got a bit cramped in my buddies Ext. Cab (D/A).

It's complately rediculous. The stock battery just BARELY cleared its' terminals sliding in the tray. The replacement we got from NAPA was like 1/2" taller. Even the stock one the boots rubbed the side panel. My boss was not impressed. LOL. That thing has been used like 2x in 5 years. LOL I'm about ready to redo it's mounting frame. Well, what we have it on. It's too narrow for a pallet jack. The fork lift can slide it's forks though.
Too quick on the draw there...
We only do high-end homes. But if you ever got a question give me a hollar. Maybe I can help or point you where to go.

I feel your pain. We left for Branson last Friday (first and last trip) and two hours after we left a storm hit the St Louis area. My son called me and we were without power, had trees down and large branches had landed on and poked holes in our shop, tractor shed and the lake pavillion. The power was out until Monday night. Lot's of fun.

It's been pretty muggy down here in SD and I don't have AC at the ranch

I so could have used a PSD today guys. Took the flatbed over to Gonzales (about 10 miles south of Salinas.) Went of 198 from Coalinga to 101 (south of King City.) I've never worried about making a hill before this. 7% grade, loaded pretty (about 6x200ft of 350MCM copper wire) with a trailer with a scissor lift. Down to 1st gear @ 20MPH losing speed with the pedal on the floor. BR>
And I'm going back tomorrow, sans trailer. Came home on 152. I'll be going back that way too. Only have Pacheco Pass with a 6% grade, and a couple other 6% spots. But at least it's relatively straight. I'll go 10 miles further (20 round trip) for a MUCH easier drive, for me, and the truck. And the boss WONDERS why we blow trannies at 65K. Wish I had a tranny gauge that's for sure.
I did get a little over 7.1 MPG on the way over and 7.8 round trip. Probably was 8.5 then coming home, if not better. Must not have as high of a diff as I thought.I figure I was knocking on 20K combined's door. About 7.5K empty.

Gotta start looking fer a job. I'm getting ready to part ways real quick. The territory travel/alignment just isn't working. They offered me a decent severance package if I move on but I would like to find something first. I just don't like all the hassle finding a new one BR>
The trouble with most companies now is that they don't give a darm about the employees any more. Your just a number and a ways to get what they want. They don't care about how happy you are doing the job or if it's in both parties best interest in doing things. It a one way highway. I just I don't have to drive down the road if i don't want to

No kidding. I've got a decent thing here at least. Though sometimes I wish things were a little different.
Saw an article on the CEO of Costco. Check out 20/20 tonight on your local ABC affiliate for the full thing. Wall Street doesn't like him because he pays his workers an average of $17/hr. They think he should pay them down around Wally World scale. Definately some interesting stats on Costco:
Number 4 retailer in the US with about $25B in sales a year.
Carry about 4,000 items (Wal-Mart carries over 100,000).
Lowest employee turnover in retail. Wal-Mart is 4x the rate.
CEO's employment contract is one page. Annual salary is $350,000 (12x his employees avg.) He visits on average 5 stores per day. Wear a regular name tag at the stores. Doesn't have his position. He just looks like another person there. Not sure but may not even have a secretary, or at the least he answers his own phone.
Annual membership fees bring in over $1B.

Your old job you got to kick people's asses when it's needed, shoot 'em if it's required. j/k.
Remember this episode of cops. This officer was talking after going on a man with gun call. "I love this job. Where else can you got 50mph down a one-way street going the wrong way." lol
Kinda on that note. Met up with a Clovis PD officer today. One of our guys had an 18V DeWalt charger/battery stolen by a meth head. He was pretty cool. Not sure but I think he was the...err...damnit I can't think of the term...watch commander as he was in a truck. He definately had some choice words for the girl. (Who was caught on camera!) And he was no small guy. I think he could have kicked my @ss with his pinky. But he was really nice. I think he used to be motor officer.

Some of these positions crack me up for what they are asking and for how muchFound one that really did spell everything out that was required and you basically lived for them 24-7. At least you knew what you were getting into beforehand

We parted ways yesterday. I wanted to find something before but it didn't work out that way. Got a couple of nice ones lined up and just have to go through the process.

Have a friend who might be moving down your way. He's interviewing tomorrow for a job.
He's tired of the BS at his current civic employer.
