LMFAO...this is great. OK, remember me talking about the gift card I was getting for free with my XM radio...well...there was a problem with them I guess. So they are sending a replacement, plus a free $25 gift card. LOL. Man...they are paying me to buy this thing I guess.

My mom bough 2 boxes of full size candy bars, she didnt think we would get that many. We probably got about 20 or so (thats way more than at our old house)....most were being dropped off by the car loads...so she shut the light out.

Oh and I actually received a few buisness cards from little kids, passing them out for their parents as they went door to door. I thought that was weird...

Wait...the kids, as they went trick or treating, were passing out their parents' business cards? Oh come on. "Now Johnny...did you make sure to give them one of daddy's business cards?" "Uhhh oops...I forgot." "BAD JOHNNY! Give me the candy!"

That was great advise that you gave me here so I took it Shot a 94 and I just have to laugh at some of the late tee time prices out here. I've never played real golf. Only played Miniature and Links Pro on the computer. Though my favorite one to play was on a Phillips CD-Interactive. It was an ABC (as in the network) golf game...with commentary by Bobcat Goldwait (or however you spell it.)

I never wanted to play until just this year and I love itimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> It's a great way for me to relax and forget about the day. Hoss probably has "other" ways to do thatbut it's easier for me to find a golf course than a sheep

It's Microsoft's new site, well, actually it's a rehash of something that's been a flop since 2000 when they first introduced the C# (C-Sharp) language (programming) and .Net (dot Net). It's kind of an answer to the Google/Sun deal/announcement about a possible hosted version of Open Office/Star Office. (If you're looking for an office sweet but don't want to fork over $$$$ for MS Office, check out Open Office and/or Star Office. Star Office is a commercial version of Open Office with a few more goodies thrown in there. Open Office

Yeah. Haven't gone on a long trip yet to really enjoy it. I do still need to mount it. I've got all the wires hidden and zip tied up. Boss still hasn't noticed the antena not being on the truck. LOL. He's been a bit preoccuppied of late though.

And there's this woman on 72 (Watercolors...Jazz station) that sounds like this woman from WBR (Boston NPR station).

We've discussed the F-650s before. They are cranking out the power from an 7.2L I-6 Cat 3126B. The 5.9 Cummins ISC is the "little" motor in those trucks. I think they are available with up to 300HP/900LB/FT of torque off the floor.

Thing is, if I was buying a Class VI truck I'm in it for the pulling of a big 5er. Those trucks are a bit hard to do that with considering the pin would be about 7' in the air. I'd want a custom bed (probably a flat bed, or tow bed) that kept the pin at a reasonable height.

Yeah I seen your daughter with it this weekend. I was like "Wait...that's usually on his bike..." then I looked at you then back over and noticed the Battleship hanging off the front of "her" bike. Figured she got to ride dad's bike for the day since mom wasn't there.

Nooo. He was talking about teh little cummins. The ones in the dodge trucks. you know, the POS trucks with the nice motors?
He was trying to tell me that one of those could put down those numbers with just a chip AND still pull 15,000lbs daily.

Ehhh...I don't think so. Maybe with a stick. Not sure if their slushbox will hold up. And I think I was wrong the 5.9L Cummins is the ISB. I think the ISC is closer in size to the CAT 3126B. And if you crank the motor up that much and tow that heavy with it, it's not gonna last. But you never know. I think Ford is pretty conservative on their numbers.

Though we eat 4R100s on the back of a 460 every 60K miles and we run that truck heavy most of the time it leaves the shop.

How far back did you have them? I know the range is limited by the terrainBut, I would hope it would be better than a quarter mile line of sightRight now, my gps is doing good and the motorolas I carry are goodBut, like the idea of how the rhinos work. Guess if I decide to get one, I need to do some research on them.

They were the Rhino 120s maybe the 110s, been to long ago, haha.. Propably back in 2002 or so. When they first came out. Im sure theyre better now though.
But, we returned those and bought some good radios instead. The Motorola T7200s. Love those radios but they eat up the battery pack like crazy.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

Been running around all day. Took a ton of cans in for recycling to pay for airsoft next weekend. LOL. Went and played in the river and lost a magezine to my pistol. They are going to scour it tomorrow looking for it. That's like a $30-40 OOPS. The holster edge is right on with the mag release button (on an Berretta M9/Model 92F). I think it got depressed and then dropped out.

FOUND! Whew.

But then I couldn't go around shooting people with it! I'd like to get some "Real Steal" as the airsoft community calls them, but need to get some other finances in order first. 2 different friends have offered to take me to a local indoor range but they never say when they are going. BR>
Now I need to find like a 2x scope or so. Had a 4x (w/red or green lit target), but it's too much. It's nice to see downrange...but if you can't hit it, or see the BB fly much, they aren't of much use. These are good for like 100' at the max (on the rifle).

Now I need to find like a 2x scope or so. Had a 4x (w/red or green lit target), but it's too much. It's nice to see downrange...but if you can't hit it, or see the BB fly much, they aren't of much use. These are good for like 100' at the max (on the rifle).

LOL! real steel, interestingnever heard of it like that before.

Yea, doesn't do you any good if you can see it, but can not get your round out that far

Morning HossBR>
Do you put the toys away in the winter? I used to ride my 250R in the snow whenever I could which isn't very many times in San Diego

Posted by: Whitewater

I've already winterized the 5th wheel, but the ATV's will be used heavily. I still need to install my plow on the 500 (it only takes 10 minutes or so to do). However, I need to modify my plow a bit...I always break my winch cable.

I like winter riding. Also, I pull the kiddies around on tubes or sleds in the snow. I hope we get a lot this year.

Had an extremely light sprinkling today...or a bird was taking a leak. Looks like we've got a storm moving this way. One about 1/2 hr out and another one that's still off of Pismo heading this way or more to the north towards MD.

Morning ALLBR>

We've been having light drizzle the last couple of days. But, the radio has said a few areas were getting a solid wettingIt just needs to open up and down pourA few of the highways going over the sierras were shut down for snow, but I think now, they are open with chain requirements.

Yeah, it definately just needs to rain. It's like some chick teasing you, lift the skirt or shirt a little, giving you a smile and then turning and walking away.

It's amazing what they can do today. Now if Clovis can only get the surface water clean. They screwed up and didn't put in a section in the surface water treatment plant which gets water from the Kings River for Activated Carbon Granuals (or whatever it is.) Now they are having to retrofit it into the plant, which is all under ground, so it has to be pumped UP to the ACG section, then back down. Same company got it right with Fresno's SWTP.

They are getting ready to put in a waste water treatment facility. The treated waste water is going into the canal downstream of the SWTP. Same thing here, supposed to be cleaner than the water that's already in the canal. It can be used to irrigate fields, but not supposed to be potable. Anyone notice something...it's watering the fields which produces FOOD we EAT. Oh well.

No kidding. I went to grab a map earlier, and there was an ad on MapQuest for the Governor's quartet.

You know what has peeved me more than all of the ads, billboards...the damn machines calling me. Last night I got 2 or 3 calls. And I'm about ready to send a bill to the flipping SEIU. They like to call me about every day...on my CELL PHONE! Ack. I need to call the registrar of voters and check to see if it on file with them. I told those union pr!cks to take it off a couple months ago. (For the most part I can't stand unions. Very rarely they do good...generally they just *&^% everyone over, including their members.)

If I wasn't completely opposed to the bills, I'd vote for them because the pestering is tweaking me. And you can't even talk to a real person to tell them to stop calling you.

Well. No rain here today. Just a lil spritz. dont even think it registered. Not sure if we got any up in the hills either.
Well see. Still have the rest of the day.

But the good news is is that the pastures are starting to green again even though we havent had much rain this season.

It just might be a mental hurdle to overcomeThey say in Riverside county they are already doing itthe only difference is, they allow mother nature to clean out the impuritiesby putting it into the aquafer [sp] and pumping it back out as drinking water.

Our pastures are starting to yellow. They will look dead until late spring.

Fresno's been doing this for years with "Leaky Acres" near the airport for surface water from the San Joaquin. It just takes a wile to perculate down. And they can only do it in specific areas because of soil type. People tweaked out when Clovis filled in and sold off their perculation land and then sought other land. Here's what people don't realise, the perculation area was recharging FRESNO's water table. The water flows under Clovis first "downhill" to Fresno. It made no sense to spend the money to recharge Fresno's water table. So they moved on to the SWTP.

Yea, in my career, I didn't get to cite enough of those peopleYes it was, we didn't have any real raging fires that took a lot of homes. Ususally have a really good one or two thanks to the Santa Ana winds (I think that's what it's called)

I was talking up here. There was a pretty nasty Santa Ana Winds fire near Chattsworth, but it didn't damage too many houses, buildings, etc. Just was a fast mover. And you got the name right. Hot, dry desert air goes rushing off-shore (out to sea) from the high desert. Might as well run around with a heat gun pointed at the bushes.

weeee. Jeep went to teh shop today to get some work done.
Got a new to the jeep steering box installed thats been sitting in the garage for 2 months. Only has a third of the miles the original one has. So the steering is tight now.
Got some AC issues fixxed. Including a new compressor clutch. So i have Cold ac now..Er should i say the parents have cold ac, since i never use it. haha.

AND THE BIGGEST ONE OF ALL!!
The front pinion seal replaced. NOW I SEE WHY EVERYONE HATES 4 WHEEL PARTS. GOOD LORD THAT PLACE SUCKS.
They put the wrong pinion seal in the front diff TWICE... need i say more?

Anyways this guy rocks. Cheap prices and he knows what hes doing. The jeep was in there for less than a day.

One more day of work and then I'm off to Ft. Ord for the weekend. Seems that since I'm the one with the truck they've decided they want me to carry a bunch of stuff. At first I was asked about taking some rifles, which I was cool with. When we get somewhere, if it's just a few, it's not hard to toss those in the front seat. Now I'm hearing the leader wants me to take a trash can... A FLIPPIN TRASH CAN! WTF! I've got bags (Pismo trash bags) in the truck. I ain't hauling no trash can!

Don' you have one of those collapsible ones?? I picked one up at Camping World for like $8... unless of course he's got other plans for the trash can than collecting trash?? haha

Nope. I just use you fancy toy hauler people's collapsable trash cans. We don't have a camping world here I don't think. There's a big place over on the west side that's an indoor RV showroom with a lot of camping stuff. I wish they'd open an REI, Cabella's (that's a possibility right now), etc.

MD...two different places. Dan Gamel does have an indoor showroom, supply place.

As you all can see, I'm back home.

Got a few kills...and received a few. Overall it was an awesome trip.

Had a few...hmmm...not sure of the term...but clusterfsck sounds appropriate Friday morning. We left about 1-1.5 hrs late. Then took WAY too long up in Santa Clara and ended up leaving there at 4pm...on a Friday. At least it was Veteran's weekend. Hopefully the traffic was lighter. But it was still insane. I got some props to Karyn, Suzy, et al for pulling a trailer down through that mess. Was an accident around Trully, or something like that. South of the 280. Was bumper to bumper through that area, but wasn't too bad.

And it was the first road trip with the XM. It was nice to know what was going on when I saw brake lights, turned on the SF traffic station an in about 3 minutes knew what was going on. Reception was perfect except around the 101-280 interchange where it hiccuped. The comedy channel saved me coming home from Los Banos to Fresno. Bro was out cold and I wasn't far behind...

I've had a few clusterfsk's tooTook the youth group to a gathering in Concord and pulled a 14' trailer behind me. I too, couldn't believe all the traffic that was on the road Friday afternoon around 6pmAnd they were all rude as can beMissed a turn off because no one would let me slide overwithout causing an accident BR>

It's a white granulary powder. It looks pretty much like Oxy Clean. I've always wanted to compare them, but I keep forgetting. But the No Toil only works with their oils as they aren't petroleum based. It's biodegradable (which is why I started using it.)

Gas actually works really well... LOL. (Use for starting bon fires.) BR>
Or I used Simple Green with good results. With my UNI I've started using No Toil. Has it's own cleaner which seems much like Oxy Clean....

Gas is the ultimate starting fluidAs a matter of fact, my garage smells like gas pretty bad

That's a real nice thing to have Is your hot water heater located in there alsohr>

Yes, the water heater is out therefortunately it is sealed up pretty goodANd I left the doors open to air it out

I need to find a enclosed trailer that is 6-7 ft wide with the axle tucked under the box. I don't have enough room next to the house for anything else. Every trailer I have seen have the wheels mounted outside under fenders and will be too tight a fit between the house and block wall.

There is no doubt the CTD is a great engine but the truck itself is not as nice and roomy as the Ford. Gotta take a look at the MegaCab Dodge and see what that's all about.

I think he's looking at a custom made trailer if that's what he wants. Most cargo trailers are going to be 102" to the wheel fenders (widest legal).

There's a stop and rob up here that moves its #2 prices from one extreme to the other. He'll be the lowest around, then 4-5 days later, he is the highestSometimes I think it's because he's quality is crapand when people buy it at a comparable price, they figure that outthen, he can't sell the rest of it, so he adjusts the price accordingly to sucker in the people looking for the cheapest fuel they can buy. So he can get rid of the stuff sitting in his tank.

Nope. Dont think theyre going to but who knows. Mom REALLY wants to stay down here.
We did some house hunting today with our realtor. Found a nice place on 49 about 2 miles from my work on 11 acres and a few more on 5.. Obviosly cant do anything till the house is on the market/sold/whatever though.. haha

Another possibillity is selling the horses. That would open up MANY possibilitys of locations to live.

This sucks.

Edit: sounds pretty stupid to move 15 miles down the road. LMAO.
Heres the story: Dad is tired of commuting and wants to be able to be home more. Like semi-retirering of sorts. Maybe fly locally. Hes only been home 2-3 days at a time latly and right now is gone for 8 days. So he wants to find a smaller less expensive home to retire in i guess. Hed rather be in WA but mom wants to be in this area.

Hope all that makes sense.

On a completely OT theme.... how about that FSU - USC game. 23pt underdog beat the spread but still lost 50-42. Lots of money changes hands on that game tonight. Wish I would have seen it. Dogs should actually go up in the ranking. Even the USC coach said they are a Top 10 team.

Rangers are getting hit almost daily around here. This is a pretty nice neighborhood but punks are driving in with a couple of cars, one's a look out, the other drops someone off and jacks the radio and whatever they can get. Mostly breaking a window as to not set off the alarm. I have known quite a few that have been hit.

Yeah, there's gangsta's on the wasatch front (from Provo to Ogden). I hope they all kill each other...a bunch of scrots, if you ask me.

Meth is a biggie, but prescription drugs are highly abused...oxycodin (sp?).

So is there anyone else out there that is trying to milk it until Thursday? They ought to cancel work, due to lack of interest.

However, the holiday's are synonymous for Honey Do's. I've spent 6-months remodeling / re-decorating the house. Luckily, I'm about finished. I'll be glad when I'm through, cuz I've highly neglected the man truck, and my prized Polaris'.

True on the prescription drugsBut it doesn't effect innocent people as much as meth. Drug labs, houses being condemned, theft, gangs etc. those are some of the residual effects

I prefer Ham myself. But it's going to be turkey, turkey and turkey. Yep, I have 3 fsckin turkeys in the fridge. One Butterball and 2 from work (bro and I both work at the same place.) Time to fill the neighborhood air with BBQing turkey.

Posted by: Whitewater

Skinner, here is a killer marinade for BBQ turkey (boneless breasts):

Ingredients:
2 cups lemon lime or
citrus soda
(7-up, Sprite, Squirt, etc)
1 cup soy sauce
½ cup vegetable oil
Appx. 10 pounds turkey
breast cutlets
Garlic powder to taste
(optional)
Horseradish to taste (optional)

Directions:
Combine lemon lime
soda, soy sauce, cooking
oil and seasonings. Pour
over turkey cutlets.
Cover and refrigerate for
8-24 hours. Turn steaks
occasionally in marinade
to ensure equal flavoring
on both sides. Grill over
hot coals until meat is
white inside (brush marinade
on turkey while cooking).
Do not overcook.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

Thanks Hoss. I might just give that a try. I was thinking of something else to do with one of the turkeys from work. BBQing 2 in one day isn't my idea of fun... Figure I might be able to hack one up, and if I do, I'll definately give that recipe a try.

We went out to the desert this weekend and the weather wasn't fun. The wind came up and was blowing about 18-20 with gust up to 30. Dust was flyin and we left 1/2 day early. My sons WR ran great and feels like a new bike after the cam swap along with other mods we did to it. The ASV levers got a workout and never broke so they were worth every dime paid.

We had some serious wind on Sat. Went over to my boss's house and you could see the dust being kicked up from the river bottom, a huge development around a golf course and across the big park where I think there was a large high school cross country meet going on. Think of brown fog. Best way to describe it. Streets had maves of dust and leaves blowing down them.

How could you sell the 70That's such a great little pit bike to thrash late at night when you are feeling your oatsBR>

Better watch out- wifey may smoke you next time you race hernext thing your going to hear is how she needs a pipe, some porting, bigger carb, and a stroker crank for her ride.
