Hmmm....Darwinian B1tchslap.

I feel zero remorse for these guys who die... Doesn't sound quite like a BASE jump, but probably close enough. I remember when the BASE jumpers were in an uproar when that lady painted the base of El Cap a few years ago when her borrowed chute failed to open.

Just infuriates me that I can't even park in front of my house. And at the price I paid, I should be able to do that.

I wouldn't find out about the late fees until I would go in to get a movie. Then, they would tell me there were several late movies. After talking to the wife, she would tell me she forgot about them in her carYou could loose an elephant in that thing

Oh, don't even get me started on the whole parking issue... we had 4 teens (ok, they're 22) and they're renting a house 2 doors away from mine. There's 4 cars daily being parked in our court (they don't use their garage to park their cars) and every other weekend they have "rager" parties with 50ppl... cars parked everywhere and always in front of my house.. we live at the end of a court and they feel like they can just park in the middle of the court and block everyone's driveway that lives there... not to mention the drama that goes on when you're 22 and at a party.. haha.. I think I've heard about every word in the book being screamed at one time or another..disappointing thing is cops are called there every party and I guess nowadays they don't break them up or make them move their cars... WHAT'S UP WITH THAT???I'd like to see a fire truck get down my street on one of their party weekends... let me tell you it really SUCKS!!! I'm gonna be that rotten neighbor that sends a letter to the owner of the house with the pictures I've taken of the parking chaos..I'm just hoping that 3 months down the road they all hate each other and move out!img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Girl, I loved crashing parties like thatGuess the dept there is not pro-activeShoot, blocking someone's driveway is a tow waiting to happen under 22651 (d) cvc and then of course, you have 22651(b) cvc for parking and blocking flow of traffic. Mabe the fire dept should come down and have a problem getting into the court
You are on the right track about letting the homeowner in on what's occuring at their house. Of course, they have to care

Break out the tow strap, drop the pressure some (better traction), throw it in 4Lo and go. They'll get the idea. BR>
Or I can bring you some 3/4" Tek screws. Those things are tire magnets. j/k

Had a friend in college get 2 tickets at once for parking facing the wrong direction AND more than 18" from the curb, or something like that. It's pretty quiet in Clovis at night that they can go through the neighborhoods writing parking tickets. But you know a party would just be a gold mine for parking tickets. Plus DUI, etc.

Actually Karyn could one up them...park the trailer on the street and crank up the generator.

Posted by: Whitewater

Hey all!

Went riding Saturday and Sunday...right from the house. That's about the only good thing about living in BFE.

Speaking of parties...I used to live across the street from a POS that would crank it up until late. I think that's where my kids first heard the f-bomb.

Hmmmmmm.. not a bad idea!! I'm sure some wouldn't even realize they didn't move their car themselves.... The worst part is the drunk driving as they leave the party... I've heard a few slurring their words pretty bad right before they jump into their car... AMAZING! img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">Maybe I suggest a DUI checkpoint at the end of my court..haha.. pathetic!!

I really didn't have a rear facing place, so I stuck it on the plastics. Some put in on the bearing carrier (on Yamahas). I've seen a lot of rear facing battery and air boxes.

Just ran to the local Ford Stealer. Might be doing some work for them. Grabbed the plans and decided to sneak through the showroom because they have a GT sitting in there roped off. MSRP: 155,000 or so. The total price they have (now, there's no add-ons per the markup label): 399,999. $240,000 in PURE profit on that bad boy. No wonder it's been on the floor for like 6 mos....

sounds fun Hoss. here's what I did: moved 2 palletts of roofing myself. I moved about 11,000 lbs of roofing 4 times!! (once from garage to quad, from quad to drive it into trailer, then re-load from trailer onto quad, then from quad to new storage place in barn. in total, I hand-balmed approximately 45,000lbs myself yesterday. took 10 hours, and my arms and legs still ache. amazingly, my back is fine and it did the majority of the work. must be because it's used to packing around my mobile liquid grain sroage facility! try that work out Hoss, might add some bulk. and if you're amorous, at least ya know my back can handle the impact.

Rose admitted to betting on baseball when he agreed to be banned for life from baseball.

We'll never know what all Mac used, unless he talks. And I doubt that. You are correct about roids and the 162 game schedule. I think Bonds stayed out longer because he was testing positive from his knee injury. They can't test you, as long as your on the DL.

Shoesless joe was before my time, otherwise, I would probably not like the White Sox.

MD hold on to your britches...or your flashlight. Had a pretty good storm move through. Knocked out power to a huge area of Fresno. Saw a couple of Xfmrs go POOF east of Clovis. I was bringing everything up to find that my router had a hard drive die. I got these from the shop. Circa '99 or so it had a few years of service. Don't think it was a spike. Just was it's time. LOL Power came back and I had the router reinstalled and reconfigured in like an hour.

I thought it was Ty Cobb, but after some research it turns out to be Lou Brock.

Rickey also took some heat for his famous speech afterwards where, with Brock looking on from the field, he proclaimed, "Lou Brock was a great base stealer, but today, I am the greatest!"

that's EXACTLY what i was talkin about (my quote was pretty close for going from memory). Yep, Lou Brock. I thot Musial was a pitcher, and Aaron a power hitter. Ty Cobb had the record for hits; his was supposed to be the unbreakable record.

what?? shoeless joe was before your time? you saw field of dreams didn't ya?! ya, that would be horrible to discover that as a fan. well, at least you can rest assured that'll never happen nowadays; they make WAY too much to ever be tempted by a bribe...unless Canseco's wearin' one of their Uniforms!!

yes, i'm aware of Rose's admission, BUT, i still believe he never admitted to betting on his own team as a player, or even as a manager. and he NEVER bet against them (which would make you wonder if he threw the game). if he bet on his team, what would be wrong with that; it's like guaranteeing a win. you're already being paid to win.

speaking of betting... what about Jordan? he loves his gambling. betcha there's some nasty skeletons in that closet.

Like i said about Rose, i knew he finally confessed to the betting, but what started the whole investigation? i thot his bookie gave the most damaging testimony (which Rose denied until much later). at the time i was surprised he'd lose the benefit of the doubt to the word of a bookie. I hope there was other irrefutable evidence.

well, hockey is just too Canadian and squeaky clean. nobody kills anyone like the National Felons League. we need some kinda juicy, dirty scandal to rank up there with the other major league sports.

I don't think the thug scene is too much into hockey. Not sure why.

Henderson does have one record most never hear about: career leadoff home runs.

Are those the levers that fold back? Rode with a guy who had those. Said he was constantly breaker levers and that the $80 he paid for those more than paid for themselves.

I hear all these people who say you have to redo topends every year. Maybe if you're trying to squeeze the last ounce of juice out of a motor. A friend's 96 lasted until January of '03. Not too bad. Almostly a purely Pismo bike. It's now one mean machine. Though she just painted the frame, well, part of it purple.

Well this sucks. The house lost power at 5am due to planned power outages for all of the oakhurst area. BUT, im running off of trailer power. w00t

And now the really sucky.
Some ****** broke into the f250 last night and stole the in dash nav and the digi cam. Yes it had an alarm. No i dont know if it was armed. haha. I guess thats what you get for buying a 99dollar special. Anyways. They didnt get the brain so the thing is pretty much useless. And no broken windows either. So as soon as they get back im putting the stock radio back in. BR>Im guessing they forgot to lock it. Theres no way that alarm didnt go off. *rolleyes*

Those are the onesThe clutch side has the perch and everything complete with a remote hot start lever. Much better than trying to reach down to the carb with gloves on.

There are four seasons on this thing and it still runs great but I would like to go in there and freshen things up a bit.img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

There are a lot of people that have alarms and don't use them Ford rangers have been a hot item around here lately. You can get in through the door handle pretty easy without hackin anything up. Bunch of radios, etc stolen. The alarms are going off but these illegals (yes, someone almost caught them) don't give a darn. What are you going to do to them??

WTF? You have to set the alarm to lock the truck...that makes a LOT of sense.... And if the alarm fries...you can't lock the truck. Make sure you get pics and what not before you put the old unit back in.

He only cares about himself. He must be a team cancer.

Yea, I would say he was a cancer. Definately the Deon Sanders of MLBhr>

I had never heard about that... And I can't stand Sanders. Maybe MD can weld up an anchor and take him fishing in the bay on Xmas-eve morning. hr>

i think it was Hank Aaron, not Musial. And he literally grabbed the microphone outta his hand mid-sentence.

Not bad for an old guyBR>
Ty Cobb had the base stealing record for awhileHe has like 956 or soNot bad for being a slow white manBR>

I hope there was other irrefutable evidence.

well, hockey is just too Canadian and squeaky clean. nobody kills anyone like the National Felons League. we need some kinda juicy, dirty scandal to rank up there with the other major league sports.

Jordon at least to no ones knowledge has bet on basketball.

See above post

Shoot, how many felonies are committed on the ice each season??? Almost all of the assaults are feloniesthey (officals/owners) just say it's part of the game and look the other wayBR>

Ship them back to TijuanaSo, they can walk around the revolving gate

Alarms really are ineffective. People really don't pay much attention to them anymore, because some owners think it's coolto have them go off for no reason. So, when they do sound, people tend to ignore them.

Probably some starbucks crazed, tree huggin lib, trying to get some quick cash so they can purchase some more spikes to drive into the trees. Maybe needing a bus ticket to DC to be with Cindy Sh@*hand and tie themselves to the white house fence.BR>

Ok. they just now found out how they got in the truck(man older folks sure dont pay attention *runs*) the tards popped the passenger side door handle piece out about a 1/4 of an inch. And the key wont work in that lock any more. He also just told me he thinks that he DID here the alarm but he thought it was someone elses since he thought it only went off for like 15 seconds or so. THat was at 6:15am.. But the alarm should go off for about 45 seconds.
bleh.
I recomended that he listen to the experts this time and get a good alarm. One with that comes with a pager or that will call yer phone or something.
Most people ignore regular alarms. Becuase most people dont know how to use them. haha they end up setting them off trying to put groceries in or somthing. And so people ignore them.

But something like this really could have been prevented. Your pager starts ringing at you and you run out to your truck and see whats up.

meanwhile my alarm in the jeep is posessed. Ive got proxemity sensor in it so when the doors are off you cant get in. ahha But it goes off all by it self. So i never arm it any more. i need to have it adjusted or something.

Heard the alarm and didn't investigateExactly what I said happens in my earlier post. Do you have the viper system? My brother had his entire stereo system stolen out of his jeep, about 3 weeks agoI guess the good thing wasthere was no damage stealing it.

The worst side affect I've ever had from taking medication was when I was taking Niaspan (or something like that.) It'd pharmaceutical grade niacin for cholesterol (raises HDL). It's called flushing. I'm sitting there in bed and all the sudden my face feels a little warm...soon it spreads. Felt like someone doused me in gas and lit me on fire. Took like 30 minutes for that to go away. Niacin causes your capillaries to dialate and more blood flows through resulting in the hot sensation of the skin.

Jordon at least to no ones knowledge has bet on basketball.

See above post

Shoot, how many felonies are committed on the ice each season??? Almost all of the assaults are feloniesthey (officals/owners) just say it's part of the game and look the other wayhr>

i know he bet on games, just not his own.

the only thing hockey players are guilty of is being able to fight. ever watch a base-brawl? i've seen girl's hockey teams fight better than that. i think yer just jealous that baseball players are cross-dressers..... altho hockey players do wear a garter belt to hold up the socks... img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">

It's not lookin good for them at 3-0. Has any team ever come back? Was it the Yankees a few years ago?

No team has ever overcome a 0-3 deficit in the World Series. As far as the play-offs, Boston overcame a 0-3 deficit last year against the Yankees. Only time it has been done in the playoffs.

last night the experts blamed Garner. In the 9th he had 2 on , no outs. he doesn't let Palmeiro (?) pinch hit, despite the fact he's over .400 in that situation, AND, he owned the reliever that the Sox had on the mound.

in '94 or '95 the Vancouver Canucks (hockey) lost game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals in NY to the NY Rangers (still pains me to type that). thousands of folks were downtown Vancouver that night, mostly to celebrate/mourn. about 20-50 a$$wipes planned to riot and it turned into a disgusting riot. and innocent folks got clubbed, just cuz they're there, and trying to get away from it.

I don't buy it. Houston could get nothing going and sustain it. They had multiple chances to pull it off. Chicago's bullpen couldn't find the strike zone from the 7th inning on, they had walked 10 guys and gave houston plenty of opportunities to win that game.

"And in other news massive riot breaks out in Chicago..." BR>
I found out the Sox one while setting up my new XM Roady2. I just couldn't resist it. Ended up costing me about $3 and change. I was collecting the BestBuy bucks on the McD's stuff. Looking today I noticed that you got a free $25 gift card and the receiver was going for 46.99. I had $21 worth of Bucks. Cost me about $28 OTD. And next week I'll get the Gift Card worth $25 so I can buy what I originally planned to buy with the BestBuy bucks. LOL

I can't believe the sound. It's great. Even over the modulator on the CR@PPY stock radio. I had to pull the antenna as EVERY one of the modulated stations was in use (knew this as LJ had that problem.) and grabbed the last station.

Tomorrow includes a stop by the bank to take out a loan to get stuff to make garlic bread for 80 people on Sat. night.

Getting ready for Hollister I worked on my digi cam that's been giving me fits. Think I kinda fixed it. Anyways...I found pics on it from the spring time. Uploaded some of our beloved Miami.

Finally put on the spacers MWQ madefor the LT160. Definately has more torque after going from 22x10x8 tires to Z400 wheels with 20x10x9 tiresI was able to pull a wheelieeven with my big carcas on the quadIt also makes the quad look a lot sportier. Can't wait to try the set up at Hollister tomorrowSpeaking of ridingI better get to bedso I look my best

Posted by: rescuediver

Had a good time today riding at HollisterDid see Skinner, LJ, Suzy, Karyn George (mstrquad) along with the Dellanini (Lori and Richard) familyand Jim IIRCforget his screenname on hereDidn't get to ride with themBut, had a good time riding with my kids and friend Steve. Took the kids on a few intermediate trails and they did fineDust was alright, not has bad as other times on the trail. However, I am sure Skinner and Pat will have something to sayespecially after being out there for 3 days

While out riding today, my buddy Steve mentioned bio-diesel. He said he can get me all the oil I needif I want to try it. I looked up bio-diesel, looks promising. Have to do the math and see if it's something to consider. If so, might see if a couple friends are interested in maybe investing in one. The company is out of Sparks, Nv. just outside Renowould be a good excuse for a road trip

To go with my reply aboveYesterday I paid $2.76 for #2 at Flyin J.

D I have to comment twice? Just settling down now after putting stuff away...i.e. say screw it and shove most of it in the garage. LJ is about 1/2-way home now. We left Hollister about 6 as the sun was going down. LJ threw a code going up Pacheco...about 65 and pushing 27PSI (65HP setting). BR>
It got REALLY dusty today. My buddy with the Blaster that's always breaking...broke again. He thinks it's the top end. He blew it up on Ridge Rd coming down. Then my other buddy's daughter decided to CLEAR the fence on the kiddie track up on Radio Ridge. No damage (to human or machine). She did pretty good. First time she rode, IIRC. Had the throttle stick on her (Yamaha Badger) and really scare her. Overall a pretty good weekend. TONS of people. A Ranger was stoked when he drove by last night. Huge group sitting in the amphetheater watching a movie. blackshot brought up a project and DVD player.

We're gonna have a little competition here. Once I pull the video off the camera (tomorrow night I think) I'm gonna post a pic and see who can figure out what it is. LJ, myself, Karyn, blackshot and mstrquad can't guess, they already know.

We're going to bid a bio-diesel plant. Small 15K-30K gallon skid mounted plant over past Hollister. Kinda towards San Juan Batista, or Gilroy. Can't remember exactly. Most likely will get the work.

This was funny. We filled up that barrel under LJ's truck on the way to Hollister at the Pilot north of Madera. We paid 2.859/gallon. Pulled back on the highway and something caughter my eye...they changed the price to $2.919 or something like that. Went up 6 cents. Would have cost about $4 more to fill that sucker.

Really, Can you say what company it is? I am going to do some research on the pros and cons. Wife's not so sure on it. If I can get a steady flow of oil from the restaurantsthan I can see where it would be beneficial. By my calculations I would be saving around $300 a month

Skinner, I appologize, I should of introduced you to my friend Steve, he's the one that owns the restraurant down by you.

It's for an ag operation over there. I can't remember the name. PM me tomorrow and I'll look it up. I'm assuming they are making it for their own use. The plant comes on a skid and the storage (feedstock, methanol and whatever they are using for the caustic soda/whatever it is they use as well as the finished product) is outside.

Remember, you'll still need to pay your road taxes (IIRC 70 cents or so total. About 1/2 and 1/2 to Uncle Sam and the rest to Aunt Samantha.) And your neighbors might be thinking you're making up some crank in the backyard. LOL. The nice thing is, other than the methanol, everything is pretty environmentally friendly. Biodiesel decomposes or whatever they call it pretty quickly.

I almost met my maker. BR>On a black dimond trail going around a corner the Z decided not to turn. No burm either. It was a LONG drop. I did everything i could do to stop and I had one tire hanging off the edge and my foot on the ground keeping me balanced. Pointing STRAIGHT off the edge.
I forsure would have been in the hospital or DRT. I had to stop and check my self. Also showed patrick and them the tire marks.
Had a few other hair raising close calls as well. But nothing like that one.

Hmm. Every Monday morning. And they park in front of YOUR house and not the house they are visiting. Anyone else think a housewife has a "personal trainer?" We have some good screws here at the office.

On edit...that kinda could be taken the wrong way...especially with this crowd. Screws as in fastening device.

The black diamonds there really aren't that bad...it's that whole cliff factor that gets you the pucker factor. Good thing James' motor didn't give up on that sucker. Hopefully they get the equipment up there and start fixing some stuff.

Morning all! Happy Halloween!

I've been outa town on bidness for the past week (I tried to check in from time to time). Well...Diesel is still $3.30 a gallon here. It's starting to really piss me off. I just heard the oil companies had the most profitable quarter in history. They made more $$$ over the past quarter, than any business (oil related or not).
