Paid admistrative leave is standard procedure when involved in a investigation of this magnitude. I am sure the public doesn't know what really happened to him, seeing it's a personel issue which is confidential. Even though he was presentdid he contribute to the death? That would be question that needed to be answered. Anyways................I never heard anything about it.
Have any places started putting together anything like that? How successful was it at getting the street racers off the street and on the track?
I don't know of any is the immediate area. I know there is one up near Sacramento, and a few down south. Cost would be extremely high to start one and then, to get neighbors to accept ityea rightI think there would be more grudge matches just outside the track, then on the track. Remember, your street racers in part, do it because it is against the lawand the adrenaline is better then drugs.

Yeah. I know what youre saying.
Famoso is our closest track. An hour and a half from fresno.
Famoso
Still if we had a smaller 1/8th track or somthing out here in the fresno/madera area i think it would get alot of people off the streets. And alot of business. I know alot of people that would be there every weekend. Id be out there once a month just to watch probably.

I'm not saying people wouldn't use it. I just don't think enough would use it, to where it would even pay for the insurance to keep the place open. And then, when the patrons it was really startedfor saw how much they would need to paythey would go down the street and do their only racingwhich would bring complaints from the property owners in the area and eventually lead to the demise of the track.

Further reading, some of the financial guys think it won't matter for GM. Reading between the lines, it could be a boost, in some ways. If they have to shoulder the health/retirement from Delphi, they can handle it. Liability for GM is between $0 and $11B. Though GM's financial position is nice:
+$30B in cash (or cash equiv.)
$50B in credit available. BB- rating (just downgraded from BB). [ed. forgot that B, I think they have more than $50 in credit... LOL]
And they are currently overpaying Delphi by about $2B/yr for parts.
If GM resumes responsibility, they probably have better leverage on the UAW to lower wages than Delphi does. They have a larger workforce, and this could affect many more people than just the Delphi workers (49K).

One of the reasons I took this new job is because of the retirement package. I have 30 more years to work, and I hope that by then, my retirement package is still there. Delphi sounds like they are in a pickle.

You wouldn't believe how many people our ages don't care about retirement. All they want is a good hourly wageThey are not looking at the long term picture. They just want to get that new F250 with the lift kit and tire package for $60K+, new boat, silicon for the g/f, quad, toy hauler etc. I know cops that are not paying into the retirement system because they want the money in their pocketsSTUPID is as STUPID does

Down at Qualcomm Stadium, they have street racing once a month and it hasn't been a problem. They are hurting for the funding to stay open though. So far it has worked out

Fresno Unified School District is screwed up big time too. I think they are trying to fend off a state takeover. Not sure. They are in the financial crisis partly with insane health costs. I think that's the biggest issue for a LOT of companies. GM is looking at a $6/share health care costs. I think they need to sit down and look at where exactly all of the money is going. Try to lean down management (hah, I know...good luck...since they are the ones who would be cutting their own jobs...like that will EVER happen.)
I think the Delphi CEO should do what Lee Iacoca did at Chrysler. $1 salary and took bonus based on corporate performance. Turned around Chrysler and paid off the gov. loans way early. The CEO has already said he would take a pay reduction.

I don't buy into the cry that it is because of health insurance or worker's comp. It might be part of the problem, but not 100% of the problem. Growth is allowed to occur, at a developers rate, but the infrastructure to support it, is not reinforced with adequate funding. More children are brought into the school system, more calls for public service, more use of public utilities, public roads, etc. etc. and the infrastructure we all depend on breaks down. No one wants to pay for it. On top of that, we all want the highest wage out there. It's a conglomeration of things.

You'll never stop street racing but it has gone down around here. They probably could and survive. Mostly rice rockets and every now and then they get their rears kicked by some go 'ol american muscleimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Not sure on how much we'll get. Special Weather Statement on Wunderground says snow @ 8000' north of Bakersfield, dropping to 7000'. Light rain in the rest of the Valley Coalinga-Visalia (CA-198) north.
Looks like we probably won't get our Shutteye run in this year.

wow, you guys got some high elevations at 7000-8000'. but not like "the magnificent forests of british columbia" (chime in with the lumberjack song from monty python!!. we get snow at way lower elevations cuz this is the great white north.
okay, on the pecker thing that's a very intersting topic for debate. so woman go around and spend thousands for the cosmetic bolt-ons. but in all seriousness, it really doesn't matter. and the vast majority of males with gerkin-sized schlongs would never think of an enlargement operation, cuz it just doesn't matter. It's Oct and the temps are still up there pretty good. We're expecting a high of 91F today. Dropping to 75 or so tomorrow. That area is pretty close to Mt. Whitney at 14,494' (highest peak in the continental U.S.) Snow levels in the winter can drop as low as 300' or so which is the floor of the Central Valley (we're at 350' or so here.) Generally winter snow elevations are in the 3000' area or so. Rain at 8000' or above after November or so is really bad. Melts the snow. We had rain at like 8000' or so in January of 1997. The resulting flow on the San Joaquin River damaged the flood gates of Friant Dam @ Millertain Lake and proved exactly why it's a bad idea to build home in the river bottom. Yes, I'm serious, dumb @sses want to build homes in the river bottom!

Cool link. I've heard about NOT removing the tailgate before (mstrquad). The "air bubble" they talk about is funny to watch. Tie a rope on your rear rope hook, almost long enough to touch the cab. Drive down the highway. Weird to see it flapping in the wind going towards the cab.

wow, that's a high peak!! not sure what our highest is.. i think it's Mt Robson (rockies), or Mt Logan (approx. 20,000'), but Logan might actually be in the Yukon, and not BC. but we've got lotsa mtn ranges, Coastals, Cascades, Rockies, Monashee, Selkirk, Purcell, and then we have a bunch more up north. and when ya fly over the coastals, it's incredible, the mtns are all snow capped and seem to go forever, in every direction. TOTAL WILDERNESS.
Posted by: Whitewater
I went to Alberta in H.S., and toured around a bit...the mountains are nothing like I have ever seen...they go on forever. Also, I went to Vancouver for bidness a few years ago, and the mountains are beautiful. I'm glad I live in the rockies...I think I would have to slit my wrists if I lived in flat land.

To top that off, Badwater (in Death Valley) is like 150 miles away. Lowest point in the continental US.

I'm right up against the base of the Sierra Nevadas. 10-15 minutes of driving on on highway and you start the climb up. Takes about 20 minutes or so when I head up to ride with LJ at Miami. And it climbs faster that way at the base.
It's relatively flat here. Fresno/Clovis is in the low-mid 300' elevation. It drops to sea level at the delta which is about 120 miles or so away. On a clear day you can see the Coastal Range to the west (50 miles, give or take.) The Central Valley is probably 300+ miles north/south and about 50 miles wide. You can see why it's sometimes called The Great Central Valley. (There are actually two "subvalleys" if you want to call them that based on the main rivers in each (San Joaquin and Sacramento).)

Where I live is in the Heart of the San Joaquin ValleyI can see the Sierra to the east and the Diable Range to the westCan be in the Sierra's in about 30 mins from my houseFoothills start in the east side of our county. We get snow about every 7 years or so. There is one peak (west side of our county) called Mike's Peak in the Diable Range, it's about 3,300'. Been in that area when it was 70 degrees in the valley and snowing on the top of Mike's PeakTalk about a day with strange weather

if you saw mtns in alberta, you were right on the BC border, cuz the only mtns they have are the rockies, and they're half in BC and half in AB. the rest is semi-arid, brown prairie.the coastal mtns lokk kinda like the rockies. ya know, AB's a bit like Utah, cuz they also have that arid hoo-doo looking area in Drummheller where the big dinosaur musuem is. but does the rest of the USA despise and resent Utah, the way all of Canada despises and resents AB??
really, it's because they're so freakin oil rich, they have a huge cash surplus, only province with no sales tax (and no deficit), plus land is dirt cheap, cuz it's mostly like a prairie. they're really more like our Texas. and for a country full of socialists, AB is our equivalent of Rush Limbaugh!! but as their neighboring province, we have the highest living expense (real estate is killer here), and we can't compete with them for bidness at all. All the other provinces joke that BC means "Bring Cash"... cuz it's so freakin expensive here. funny thing is, everyone wants to live here, but ya got a better chance of getting ahead if ya live in AB, then move to BC to retire.

I think it's mainly a thing of not liking the LDS Church. They are pretty synonimous. Interesting article in the current issue of Newsweek that kinda covers some of it.

Funny thing, that sounds a lot like California. People have this really weird notion of California. Basically watch Baywatch, and maybe OC. That's what they think Cali is. Every show takes place in either SoCal or SanFran. When I first started on the 'Net people used to ask me how often I surfed and what it was like to live on the coast. LOL. Or if I was worried about falling off into the ocean when the "Big One" hits.
Now if we could only convince people that Cali is the pits. Sucks. Maybe they'll stop moving here, and prices for real estate will drop. Of course, not a chance. One can dream. I tell anyone I meet who complains about Cali that there are several Interstates that exit California. Use one. And don't let the door hit your @ss on the way out.

It's possible. But a wet suit might be in order. Though I'm not sure when the salmon run is.
I'm pretty much 3 hrs from anywhere I want to go.

You can catch salmon up hereBetter do it by October 30, then the rivers shut down until Jan 15 (IIRC). I remember growing up and hitting the rivers, The salmon used to be thick in the shallow gravel laying their eggsNow, they might get a few hundred or so coming up the rivers. It is getting betterthough.

ya, wet suit for several of those months, but a few of our lakes warm up by June-Sept. the BIG salmon runs are from about july-Oct, (5 different species, 3 of which are good eating, the other 2 are for canning). there's always sompin to fish for tho. tons of lakes, and many only accessable by quad. we were around 70 deg all day today. a bit unseasonably warm.

WTF RU guys doing, catching spawners??OMG!! we'd get heavily penalized by DFO (dept of Fisheries, or if you prefer, Peche Des Oceans). right now its a big run of Chum img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif" border="0">NOT good eatin compared to sockeye, coho or Spring (Chinook).

NO!!! That's why they close the rivers during that time periodSO you don't catch the spawnersUp to that date, all the ones in the rivers are legal to catchAfter that, there is no legal fishing in the entire river system from certain points east of the San Joaquin River. This ensures they make it to the spawning grounds.

Hey, not everyone has a shop that is the size of an average house(ok, you don't have it yet, but soon enough
LOL!
Already have access to a big one, I had my brother buy itwhen we were doing some work on his jeep. This one is perfect for a lot of the things I would use it for. If I have a long term need for a bigger unit(get your minds out of the cellarI will just bring his over to the house.

oh, that's great then. we got our hot tub for the same price. it's older, smaller, 110V system, only 4 jets, not super-deep (compared to the newer stuff), BUT, if it wasn't free we wouldn't have one, and it works great.
while cleaning out my current shop, i found a small "drill press" that you mount an electric drill in, and then it's got a pull down lever to keep ya straight. kinda neat.

i dunno, i got a full size drill press so i never really use this one. i can drill sorta straight freehand too. it does look pretty solid tho, but the base for the item you're drilling seems to be lacking. ALSO, i find it tricky on my big press to make the table plumb to the bit. the longer the hole you drill, the more you see where it's out of whack. but it's tough to get it perfect. when you install euro-hinges on cabinet doors they have to be drilled pretty precise with a Forstner bit.

An hour ago, the RECON reported a pressure of 892mb, tied the 2nd lowest on record with the 1935 Labor Day hurricane. The eye is an unprecedented 2NM across -- and the aircraft is taking readings from the 700mb level. Typically, 700m is around 10,000'. In Wilma's case, it is 2,132m around 6,500 feet. 168KT in the SE Quadrant, just 3NM outside from the center -- is at least 175mph sustained surface winds.
This has some of the characteristics of a tornado. Looking for microwave signature, and loops in the shortwave spectrum, it appears the eye wall will simply implode -- and the next strong wall on imagery appearts to be 20NM across -- but there really is no confirmation of that from the crew - who are no doubt hanging on for dear life.

These are the crazy bastages that fly into the eye: Hurrican Hunters (53rd WRS) Wilma's page on the Hurricane Hunters.
You look at the radar images and you can't even really see the eye. This thing is like someone took an econobox and stuffed a Ferrari engine under the hood.
So this is FEMA's 3rd try this year. They are 0 for 2 so far. What's the line for this at bat? Though they kinda lucked out last time with Rita.
They told the non-residents to evacuate the Keys. How about the residents?

funny, i got a nice set of forstner bits, router bits, drill bits & screwdriver bits at a prison auction, all for about $75. shoulda grabbed a couple of other items while i was there, like a nice wire wheel on a pedestal. our Prov. govt shut down a handful of prisons and they auctioned off all kinds of stuff. that's where i learned people pay way too much at auctions, and you;ll waste your time looking for a deal. still mad that my father-in-law didn't bid on the 2 street hockey nets that went for $10. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif" border="0">hr>

You are right about people paying way to much at an auction. A lot of that stuff can be bought new for the price it sells for.

OK, wtf... Damn electricians and they can't change a fsckin lamp! We get a call this morning that they couldn't take this water trailer to a job site. It's got like probably a 500 gallon water tank on it. Maybe not that big, not really sure. They said the lights weren't working. It was one fsckin lamp! Here's a clue if only one light isn't working...it's probably the lamp. Take a screwdriver, key, anything and you pop out the retaining ring, and look at the lamp. DUR. Morons. Sorry, had to vent. (The lamp was horribly coroded.)

LOL! Maybe they should of called in a traveling electrician at $65 an hourplus, the call-out fee of $90BR>

Don't remind me. I swear. Sometimes these guys make me feel like I'm dealing with my mother.
Now it's time to do As-Builts for that job up in Ballico. Not too bad though. Probably be done around lunch time or so.
Now, if the trucker bringing back our trailer, trencher and forklift would stop calling me. Last time he called me to tell me he was putting air in the tires because there were low. 2 were flat and the rest had like 20 lbs. Figure they should be in the 100psi range. LOL

Those trailers sit on the job sites for 6 mos at a time and then get moved back to a yard and taken out again at some point.

I usually only pass a couple stations selling #2. The high place (Chevron) is 3.499 and the low place is 3.299. Not sure about the Shell around the corner from the office. Didn't pay attention today.
I've been noticing that we are right on the national average for fuel prices for once.Usually CA is way higher.

Well, fuel this morning was 3.40 a gallon.BR>
How is everyone this fine Friday morning? This thread has been a little slow this week. Shall we see if we can liven things up?.?.? Maybe Miss Kitty wants to fight. Hey, maybe Skinner got lucky and wants to share his exploits with us....Bwahahahahaha.
Confused, how's the house?

Morning Skinner.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Any plans for the weekend?
Might do a little airsoft tomorrow. Though I'm tired of playing the same stretch of empty river bottom that we always play. Usually just 2-3 guys on each side. Never work on team tactics, etc.
Posted by: Whitewater
Airsoft? That sounds like fun. Do you shoot from the wheeler?
I was planning on going to Little Sahara sand dunes, but I think I'll just take off from the house and ride around here. Also, I'm still working on the house.

Good morning everyone!!
Oh yes, love the AV Hoss...fits you perfectlyBR>
So...next week is my last week here at my current job. Starting in Nov I will no longer be able to play on the computer all day long. You guys better miss meLOL...

Airsoft guns shoot a small plastic BB. MOST run a 6mm .12-.35 gram BB. The standard is a 6mm .20g that is the standard round to determine muzzle velocity. Most fields cap muzzle velocity at 400ft/sec from an AEG (Automatic Electric Gun). Minimum engagement is usually 25' with an AEG. Some have sniper rules which allow for 500fps within min. engagement of 50' or so. 500fps at close ranges can pierce the skin. Most stock AEGs will shoot +/- 300fps. We have an HK G36C (Classic Army C36C) that shoots in the neighborhood of 305fps. And a M4 (Tokyo Mouri M4) that shoots a consistent 295fps.
AEGs: Mouri Carbine & Classic Army CA 36C
AEGs have a motor and run from a battery pack. Basically the same packs used in radio controlled cars.
We also have a couple of pistols that use "Green Gas" (supposedly propane...which it does smell like). Pistols are usually allowed up to 10ft engagement and when you're in buildings fighting. Though once a building is cleared of opposing forces you can shoot OUT of the building with an AEG. You can also shoot IN to a building if you're more than 25' with an AEG.
I have the KWA M9 (ver. 2). Bro has the KWA G19.
And no, I don't shoot froom the quad. I believe that would be a misdemeanor. It's kind of a "fringe" thing anyways. Lots of people remove the orange tips and these things look EXACTLY like the real thing. Even down to the logos. The M4 is even marked with COlt logos, but they are/were covered up so they can be brought into the US. Classic Army does have a license from Armalite to import with the Armalite logos, and even serial numbers. The logo on the mag well on the M4 is still covered up. They just use this thick plastic stuff to cover the logos. I think the logo under it is a US Marine logo, at least from the box.
Some PDs, Sheriff's, etc. are starting to use them in training. Depending on range, they just sting a little. I got hit in the neck, but it was a decent range so it didn't leave a mark. But I've seen skin breaks at close range. In training if an officer was wearing kevlar, they probably wouldn't even feel it. Nearly all of the guns are very close replicas. So it's something that the officers are used to handling. The G19 my bro has, even has a small slot in the trigger for the Glock's trigger safety. It just isn't there.

I'll leave the snide remarks to Hoss about not being at your job anymore. So why are you leaving? Too much school work? About ready to kill coworkers?
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
We are planning on going to Ft. Ord next month. Those guys put on a nice event. They don't have anything up yet for Nov. Was going to go this month but everyone flaked we were going to go with.
Posted by: Whitewater
Miss Kitty is Leaving? Who am I supposed to her-ass now? I guess I'll have to get Girlygirl.
You better stop in from time to time (daily). Oh, and update those pics, too. We want skin.
Good Luck!

Skinner,
Sounds like you are an air soft geek, too. Hey, at least you are out of your mother's basement, breaking a sweat.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
I geek out on everything I do. Nothing half-@ssed. LOL
Of course the other guys I play with...I don't know. We play for like 15 minutes and 'rest' for like an hour. It's like damn guys. Get a drink and get your @ss back out there. It's like a 30 minute drive for me up there. If I'm gonna spend time and money, make it worth my while.
Some of the are spray and pray. They throw it on auto and pull the drigger until they have to wind their mag. High-caps can run from like 300 to 600 rounds. There's a little winder on the bottom you wind to get the rounds into the receiver. Or you can run standard mags as well that just have a regular spring and don't wind. One company makes 30 round mags for those who do mil-sim. 10 mags cost about $50. I've thought about buying a box. I'm not a sprayer. I might should 100 rounds in an afternoon if I go nuts.
I'm more into hiding, crawling around, etc. Then you find em, wait for them to get in range (no sense in shooting unless you can hit them, unless you are trying to pin them in somewhere) then fire off a few singles.

That happens with age. BR>
Everyone tells me they can't hear my M4 with a silencer on it. To me it's louder 'en hell. The motor is right there by your ear and so is the piston. Only thing with the silencer is that it puts a bunch of weight on the tip and makes it about 6-8" longer, but it does cover the orange tip so you don't stand out.
One guy gave me a Tosco scope for it. Nice to be able to see people...that I can't shoot. And then you barely see much of the BB's path. They sell a lot of Red Dot scopes that are 1x. I always wondered WTF why 1x. Now I kinda know why. I think this is a 4x and it's way overkill.

wow, wierd. our diesel works out to $3.40/gal (currency converted). Our fuel is NEVER the same price as yours (we have so many extra taxes added in here in socialism-land). our gas is 3.11 for regular. WTF is that all about?? since when is gas LESS than diesel?? my friend at a refinery told me we're paying an inflated price now, to upgrade the equipment for some newfangled diesel that's due to come out in '06 or '08. he says this way, once it comes out, we won't hafta take the hit all at once.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
We've had higher diesel than gas for a good year or so now. There's so many new diesel pickups on the road now there's a bigger demand. Though in CA nobody really uses oil to heat with. It's all mainly natural gas or propane in the country so that's not an issue.
Taxes in CA run about 36 cents total (half state, half fed) plus you have to pay sales tax which varies. We're 8.25% or something like that in Clovis and like 7.95 in Fresno.
CA is already supposed to be running Ultra Low Sulfer Diesel. The more sulfer they can pull out of diesel the cleaner it will be. And that's pretty much where the smell comes from as well.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Anyone else seen "Dust to Glory?" Oh man it's killer. Gotta see it if you're into off-road racing. Documentary of the 2003 Baja 1000.

Welp. Looks like i might go up and do some wheelin tomorow. Got a message on my phone from a few guys that came up tonight. That are gonna be doin a starlakes run. I have to do a few things to the jeep but i might go up in the morning. I dunno. lol
I was hoping my buddy could go but hes busy.
Meh. I dunno.
Posted by: confusedbuyer
ya, we got low sulphur too, but whatever they're doin to it by '08 (or whatever year it is) is supposed to be even cleaner. i wouldn't wanna begin to calculate where our fuel taxes start and end. there's lots. our diesel has been higher for awhile too, maybe 2 years. but i don't buy into the theory of the more demand = higher price. if that were true, then gas would be way more, cuz there's still more gasoline used than diesel. so why not stick it to the gas users??
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
I'm sure there is some gouging factor in there. But as demand increases, if the supply remains the same, the price will increase to what the market will bear. That's what happens in a "free market." And I wouldn't doubt some of the price increase has been due to new formulations.
Look here at the commodity prices: CNN Commodities
Heating Oil is very close to #1 Diesel (I believe they are actually interchangable so it's not to hard to figure that's close to #2): US$1.90 per gallon
Unleaded Gasoline: US$ 1.67 per gallon.
So that's at least 23 cents/gallon difference right there.
The local ARCO is running 87 for 2.759 amd #2 for 3.299. That's 54 cents. 23 cents of that is the commodity price alone. That leaves another 21 cents. 4 of that is sales tax. And I know that diesel has a different tax rate. Next time I'm at a station that sells both, I'll check out the tax notice. So we're talking about 17 cents per gallon difference somewhere along the line. It would be interesting to see the prices all along the line.
Crude Price
Crude Production Costs
Crude Delivery to Refinery Costs
Refining Costs
Refined Fuel Cost
Transport Costs (Refinery to Local Terminal)
Wholesale Cost
Transport Costs (Local Terminal to Retailer)
Retail Markup (usually about a penny per gallon)
And as the retail price goes up, so will the transport costs.
When our equipment was moved the other day we had to pay a 15% fuel surcharge price.

Im working on the jeep still. No progress at all. BR>Ive tightened it all. At this point im really about ready to give up.

Welp, im up already. I was up till almost 4am.
I adjusted the LCAs as long as theyd go. Each side of the axle was different anyways so i dont think it had been set in a LONG time. haha It tightened the steering up quiet a bit so im happy about that but the death wobble didnt change much. A lil but not much.
I retorqued EVERYthing, well everything that didnt have a castleated nut on it. And did notice that my control arm bushings look pretting old and warn. That might be some of my DW. Other than that i REALL cant find anything wrong. Ive tried.

Well, ended up not doing the airsoft thing this weekend. I think we're going to have a meeting tomorrow to talk about the next OP at Ord. Ended up picking up a few things today. Brother wanted this woodland camo vest that had a hydro pack in it. He ended up settling for this OD one that just has the hydro pouch, but no bladder. He was checking it out and fitting it when he reached into this zipper pouch. He found the other side earlier. We assumed for maps. Well, his eyes light up like a kid on Xmas morning...there's a holster INSIDE one side. Not too bad for $51 and change OTD. Gotta love the Army Surplus store. Better prices than going to the airsoft or hobby stores that sell Blackhawk gear. Good stuff, just REALLY expensive. You can buy tac vests that have holsters on the outside. This one is nice in that it's hidden so someone won't know you have one.

stove oil is winter diesel. (more butane or sompin like that). I've run it in my truck. density is a little different too.
I remember when Henderson set the record, and the guy he beat was at the game. He grabs the mic, announces... "(whoever it was.. Stan Musial??) was great, but today I am the greatest!" It was the most disgusting display of arrogance and egomaniac-ism I've ever seen. He lowered himself to a whole new level of disdain and disrespect in my book that day. He's the I in team. This one is nice in that it's hidden so someone won't know you have one.
A's almost pulled it out and made it to the play-offs. Went to a local game right before the end of the season. Saw Dave Stewart and Gary Gaetti thereNow, that probably dates meAs a matter of fact, Gaetti is a coach for the Astros.

and look at how skinny Maguire was back in those days as an A. then roids took over. Willie's right about the roid records that have been broken; should be an asterik or sompin. and Pete Rose's sins had nuthin to do with his achievements and they've crucified him.

He only cares about himself. He must be a team cancer.
Yea, I would say he was a cancer. Definately the Deon Sanders of MLB

I guess you can say I was always was a Sox fan, even though, I went to more Cubs games.Where I lived back there, is now part of the south side Tonight I had a birthday party to go to for my sister in law, my brothers thought for sure I'd be wearing my Sox jersey. Of course, the jerey is one my brother bought for me last year at the new ball parkAll the baseball stuff I have only comes from ball parksRefuse to buy it anywhere else.

Pete bet on his own team, while playing and as a managerHe wrote his own destination.
On steroids; What Mac was taking what at the time was legal. And on top of that, steroids don't help the hand-eye coordination. You still have to be able to hit the ball in the right area of the bat.

Can't say I have. Is it on dvd, history channel, discovery???????
It's on DVD now. It was a very limited release in the theaters as it's a documentary and it's a really small target audience. I grabbed it over at Blockbuster. But you can pick it up Wally World, and probably Best Buy. It was funny, I hadn't rented a movie in who knows how long. All of the sudden the printer just starts spewing paper...it was a class action settlement coupons. About 8-10 I think. LOL
