OUCH. You're running like 33 or 35s aren't you? They look pretty tall.
EZ Locker...that the cable operated locker? Sounds like the one LJ is looking at getting. ARBs are a little out of his budget. Think like 1500 for the gears and almost 2K for the lockers, compressor and labor. I think he's got D40 or 44s. Rear is limited slip, but may not be working right.
Looking at getting an Ox Locker in the back which is cable opperated and some sort of auto locker in the front. But the locker in the back isnt for sure. Just not positive i NEED it.
Ive got a D44 in the back and yeah the Limited Slip is probably worn out.
Im goin with 4.56s.
Also doing the SYE/CV Driveshaft stuff.
But i neeeeeeed to start workin full time again before i can get gears.

BFS!! unless it was all downhill, with no accelerator pedal used, over the course of 5 miles filling up between stations. i don't think i've ever done better than 15mpg (US gallon, which is smaller than Imp gal, 3.78L vs 4.55L ). however, i am a dually with 4:10 gears.

How many miles are you guys getting to a tank?
My mom and Aunt are on a trip to WA with the PSD and are at half a tank and 300 miles so farBR>
The computer up on teh roof is saying 29mpg. Even though i know thats not right its still cool.
Posted by: powerstroke01
Welp. She just filled up.
She went 463 miles and put in 21 gallons. That figures to about 21mpg right? So the computer was off by 7-8mpg.
I told them itd be off by that much but they wouldnt believe me haha..
Compared with the stock mileage of 16-18 thats a pretty good increse. So about average of 4mpg better.
Cant wait to see how it goes towing hte TT. We average about 10-11 with that.
Thats with teh Diablo Predator on the 60hp program.

I can attest to a 7.3 PSD getting 22 mpgNow, it was on a lonely highway in Oregon coming back from Idaho. I was doing 55 mph with the cruise control on. So, it was very minimal on pedal fluctuation. At one time after this trip. I did post my mpg at what speed.

well, glad you asked. i replaced it yesterday. it's on the bottom right side of the engine, just above the harmonic balancer. it's at the front of the engine (i.e., bumper). if the top/middle of the engine is 12 o'clock, it's at about 7-8 o'clock. i did it laying on my back under the truck. 10mm socket, 4" extension. it looks a lot like the angle sensor i replaced on the Honda 250ES. and the part cost me $100 US (which was cost plus 10%). it retails for around $190 US. and it took about 10 minutes. smoothest job i can ever remember.

actually, Vancouver is #2 behind SF, i only threw in seattle to stir up OFC. BUT, we're talking about the downtown core, not the burbs. downtown is filled with high-rises and dense population. they tend to congregate down there. sompin about the rat-race must re-locate their wiring?! I dunno. seriously, we had the guay olympics here a few years ago. (the joke was, there were a lot of come-from-behind victories). and they have a huge "pride" parade every year. they're one of those very vocal minority groups. quite irritating actually. how do ya think we got the guay marriage thing voted in. i think Oregon does too. i don't even think flakey CA has that yet do they? don't worry, it's just around the corner.
why do you think i always refer to the tree huggers as those "save the guay whales for jesus groups" .
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
CA allows "marriage" only between a man and a woman. But don't expect that law to last long. They haven't been fairing very well in the courts. Though CA does have a registry for same-sex couples, but not for couples who are opposite-sex, but don't want to be married (some people want that.) I figure WTF is the big deal is with g@y [stupid filter] marriage. It doesn't hurt anyone. And if anyone thinks that it hurts marriage in general, they have issues. A marriage involves 2 people, not 300 million.

that's the frustrating thing, it's so infrequent you never know for sure. and when it has happened in the past; shut it off, wait 30 seconds, and problem is gone.

I think Fresno/Clovis was like #9, forget what % though

As much as I'd love tooNot cost effective for us to travel everyday back to the valleyIn 10 years when the kids are out on their ownwe'll re-evaluate the situation and go from there. Right now, the kids education is priority and we are real close to the school

CONGRATS MD!! you gotta sell yours now?? word of advice; feng shui (Chinese tradition of placing things in certain ways, but more importantly; getting rid of clutter). so throw out lotsa junk now. we thot about garage sales and i'm as frugal as you'll meet, but in the end i felt better giving our old stuff to charity and glad we didn't waste 2-4 full days of our lives grinding over pennies with some cheap pr*ck who's already getting the item for 5% of new price. and you'll make maybe $200-500. not worth it.

Yeah, it's pretty much insane. I've given up buying a house here. Friends are talking about Texas and Iowa. I don't know about those Texas people. Iowa, maybe. Buddy is a machinist and his gf is umm a job specialist I guess. Helps to find people work. He'd make $1 more an ahour but she'd be about $1 less so it's a wash. But the housing is nothing compared to here.
Another friend who's a draftsman is probably going to be moving to Dallas. He got called by a head hunter. He's happy where he is so he added $10K to what he makes and they accepted.

Congrats on the new house. I've already moved someone this year. I only move once a year. BR>
Have a buddy moving from Seattle to Sac at the end of the month. Movers wanted $2K. He's gonna get a U-Haul...$600 most likely.
Last time I moved it took me the better part of a month it seemed.
Take this time to get rid of stuff. I move again, I'm calling for a roll-away tub.

His house will probably sell quick. Maybe 2 weeks on the market if it's anyway decent. If it's in awesome condition, give it a few days. That's how insane the market in the Central Valley is right now.

Ya, the market is crazy here right now. Our house in Lemoore (which now a rental) was up for rent for 1 day and that same day someone came in and wanted it and got it.

our market is hyper too. i read an article that claimed world-wide there's inflated house pricing, and it's just a big balloon waiting for a pin. hey, when interest rates are at 60 year lows, i guess that's gonna happen. the moment they spike up, it's gonna be scary.
Posted by: powerstroke01
You know, the other day dad told me that theyre wanting to find some property up here. So we could be moving, again.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Hmmm. This market is so wacked. I've read a lot of the news about the real estate market being like the Dot Com Bubble in the 90s.
The people who took out interest only loans could be a in REAL world of hurt. Only protection they would have is if they have fixed mortgages with a low rate. Rates are up over a point this last year.

b&rw, your right, we already have an interested buyerMy buddy just sold his house, it never touched the marketAgent showed it to his clients. Now he's making 6% as the seller's agent and 6% as the buyer's agent. Man are they raking in the doughimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">
We negotiated with our agent. He's making 2%. Which still equates to a pretty good profit.

We were in our house for 12 yrs. I never really thought about it...but that a lot of crap to move. The good thing about moving is, you finally get rid and weed out all the crap you have been holding on to.
One good thing that came from our move was my mom decided all old furniture had to go and new stuff was going to take its place in the new house. So really we did have that much big/heavy stuff to move. But we all got new bedroom furniture ..Ill be sure she hooks you up

Look where the dot.com bubble got us as a stateWhen the housing market burstit will hit a lot of individualsSomething like 78% of the homes in the bay area are interest only loansin the central valley, I think it's around 18%. Still crazy

I've moved enough times I should be a pro. Last time we didn't have much packed when we started. So I was taking stuff over a load at a time in my truck. Though we've been pretty stable the last few places (2.75 yrs current, 5 years and 3 years) we used to move about once a year or so. Blech. We got smart and ended up buying boxes from Home Depot, etc. Then everything stacks up neatly. Then just cut the tape, fold em and keep them for next time.

We did the whole rubbermade box thing. My mom and I went out and bought like 15 of the see-thru plastic bins and slowly started moving stuff over from the old house to the new house. It worked out pretty good because we ended up using the bins after the move to store stuff in the attic and with them being see-thru you can find what your looking for a lot easier.

Ack! NO MORE BINS! (Though I did co-op some stuff for my camping gear. My mom's a damn packrat. Never throws anything away. I swear we have utility bills from the 90s in boxes. We tossed the ones from the 80s away last time we moved. I can understand if you need something for tax purposes (but she always files A and EZ forms so nothing is itemized) or sentimental reasons (like the Fresno Bee from Nov. 22, 1963), but utility bills that are 10 years old? GIMME A BREAK!

A little hook up is better than no hook-up!!
Shop around and let me know if there is something in particular that your looking for especially if your looking for a mattress (since we keep most in stock), we have some furniture on the floor, but most is by special order.
Damn, I should be getting paid for this...lol...

don't even get me started on agent's commissions. that's a really bitter pill for me. ridiculous. why do we really need them ? for exposure? aren't we an internet society yet, capable of doing this ourselves? and the lawyers/notaries do the property conveyancing. the commission structure was okay when houses avg. 50K, but not at 500K ++.

our market is hyper too. i read an article that claimed world-wide there's inflated house pricing, and it's just a big balloon waiting for a pin. hey, when interest rates are at 60 year lows, i guess that's gonna happen. the moment they spike up, it's gonna be scary.
Just like in the early 90'sIt is scary.
And what did you post that didn't make it through the filterhr>
i said the balloon was waiting for a priack. that's a pretty innocent word. like try pr**cking the jet in your carb to free the obstruction. man, this thing is a little to sensitive. like skinner found out when i typed guay. it wasn't a spelling error.

MD, i'm paying movers this time, for the first time in my life. once ya hit 30, you can't ask friends anymore. just build it into the cost of the whole buy/sell process. altho, i do plan to move the shop on my own.
my brother has a great theory. if ya haven't opened a box between moves, throw it out. well, i've got 3 boxes of '78s (you know, ancient vinyl records). they're super heavy...but i'm convinced one day (maybe even already??) they'll be worth lots, like collector cards.
HEY, did i mention we found a 1961 Honda 55 scooter/minibike? i tried to do some net inquiries, but i can't figure out what this thing is worth. anyone got any suggestions?

Shop around and let me know if there is something in particular that your looking for especially if your looking for a mattress (since we keep most in stock), we have some furniture on the floor, but most is by special order.

I agree 100%.
There is talk about the government topping the commission on a sale at 4% IIRC.

Those things are worth money. Put them on e-bay, might make your first mortgage payment from the profitsWhatever you do though, don't throw them away.
On the scooter, Can't help you there. May I suggest PM'ing MWQ, Chet or bing. They seem to post a little about those ridesPlus MWQ might actually remember that bike coming out of the production line

hmmm, that sounds like something they'd try to propose in communist Canada, not the great free enterprise capitalism model of the USA. and believe me, the real-asnakes salesmen will have a massive lobby against any legislation like that.

your not confusing those with 45s are ya? 78s are ancient, like the old rca phonograph days. as large as a 33 in diameter, just spin faster (hey, them hip-hop freaks could have a lotta fun ruining those 78s!!)

You know they will. There are some places that will sell your house for a percentage, depending on the price of your house. It ranges from 2% to 5% IIRC. Then, there is "Assist to Sell" they help you for $2999.00

we have some oufits trying to break the mould, but the old network is just too strong. we have 1% realty, and a few others that are lower. there's also a web based outfit who's signs i've seen lately, "usellahome.com". so it's slowly coming, but the vast majority is handled by the traditional market because they bring the buyers, and get you the exposure.

well i'm older than you and i definitely remember 45s, 33s and 8-tracks (the Craig Powerplay deck meant you were big time . and i remember our record player had the 78 setting, but we never had any 78s, nor did our folks. so i just checked ebay and it's not even worth trying to sell these paper weights, unless i happen to have a diamond in the rough, in which case i still wouldn't know it anyways. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

It all depends on where you hang your hat. Hang your hat on the wrong side of town, you meet the lowlifes. I've met some people I didn't care much for. Not my kind of crowd.
Heck, if it weren't for the Net, I wouldn't be riding. Met some friends online and they got me hooked...though I always wanted an MC or Quad.

Yeah, I've got a trip planned the first weekend in August. My Balance sheet at the moment says Pismo isn't a good idea that close together. The other trip has been in the works for almost 6 mos now. A yearly chat room get together... There's a few in there you would get along with...they like to hang with Jack. Probably ride with LJ up in the mountains this weekend. Probably hit one of the Towers. If I magically get money maybe I'll take a day trip with a friend or two.
Hopefully the fall will get here soon and be wet. Be cool to get your guys to come over. I went to Carnegie, you guys gotta come to Miami. I know I'm going to have a lot of difficulty convincing MWQ to come though. BR>

Yeah, time. The thought of having kids is cool, yet scares the hell out of me to be honest. As it is now, if something happens to me (lsot job, injured, etc.) it's just me to worry about. With a kid there's at least one, and hopefully two to worry about.

Shhh you're not supposed to say. People find out what's on it and turn green...till they eat it.
Actually, when I was younger, say around 10, I didn't care for it all that much.
One of these days I'm going to make a broiler! Then I won't have to borrow someone oven in their TH. I usually rotate through trailers between Karyn, Suzie and Mickie. Only problem is it can make a total mess...bread crumbs everywhere.
I need to find an old propane BBQ someone is trashing...actually I think I might be able to get one. A buddy just bought his dad a really nice one to replace his old one.

Yeah, time. The thought of having kids is cool, yet scares the hell out of me to be honest. As it is now, if something happens to me (lsot job, injured, etc.) it's just me to worry about. With a kid there's at least one, and hopefully two to worry about.
How are we actually talking kids with b&rw? I gotta go back and see how this happened.

I am one of 6 Lay Ministers at our church. We assist the Pastor in Services, through Communion, prayer, home services for the elderly and those who are physically unable to attend church, to name a few of the responsibilities.

LOL! It's an old family secretJust like the Bush's baked bean commercialBut, does the dog know the scret formulaBR>

Not sure how much of a secret it is, it's posted on CATVW. Most people screw it up the first time and use a spread instead of butter. You need the real stuff. The other just turns it into a soggy mess. Water (spreads) and oil (the rest of the spreads, plus the garlic spread has some) don't mix. Evidentally everything will just slide right off. LOL.

Yeah yeah yeah.
I'm home today. Did a number on my back yesterday riding with LJ, another friend and a guy we met up with on a BMW F650 Dakaar. He dumped it once at the top of the fire lookout. We ended up in the middle of an Enduro...going the opposite way. LOL

I dont even usually ride in the summer at all. I am making a exception this summer to train for enduros this fall. Carnegie is 40 minutes from my house and 5 sets of 5 laps every other weekend is more than enough riding on what I refer to as "marbles on glass". Little dirt clods on hard pack. I should be able to follow the blue groove around the mx track in a few more sessions. For those of you who lives where it rains more than 4 times a year. Blue groove refers to the mark your skidding tires leave on the dirt that resembles concrete.
Let me know when it rains!
