Thanks for the info on the exhaust brakes guy. I guess it gets noisy with those. I seen a sign on like 65 or something (in Salinas, goes between Salinas and Monterey) about avoiding use of exhaust braking between certain hours. One side of the road is some ag land, the other is houses.

"avoid use of.." is a polite way of asking, "prohibited use of" is a way to help collect extra revenue.
B & R, LMAO on the comment about best way to mod the quad for power is lose 50 lbs. looks like mine could really fly. but i only pack the extra tank (around waist) to give me more counter-balance on steep hills, side hills, downhills, etc..
Antonio the brick builder, of course you'd be able to pound Crown Royal, it's a Canadian bevy. I'd let that awful American beer sit and get warm too, who knows, it might improve. I think they distill the beer from U-238 heavy water. ww got's the pee-degree, maybe he knows. that's even more impressive that you went from mental plan. I now realize... your mom is Italian, and your dad is Portugese. How silly, now I get it... your daughter was the brains behind it. send her to your brother's and she'll have a good summer job. (P.S. get a retainer from family before starting any reno for them).
ww, I don't want your hands on me... never trust a polyorchid man, especially one with a Van-tran history.

B&W, I lived what you described. While in the military overseas, I drank enough for my life time and then some. Now, it's social drinking only. But, you are rightNothing like headlights leading the wayh yea, what was wrong about the speedos? Envisioning WW in a pair or just speedos themselvesBR>
Tommy, welcome back. You need to post some new pictures of your latest outings. Thanks for the additional information on jake brakes. I know the street behind my house has the "no jake brakes" signs posted. Doesn't really stop them though. But, oh well. I do like the sound of dieselBR>Confused, the key to carrying around the extra weight is to be able to use it. Yours is just dead weight sitting over your belt buckleBR>The daughter does have the brains in our little operations. But, you were wrong on the ethnicticity of my forefathers. They are from Germany, Poland and Lithuania. All industrial countries. My family couldn't lay tile if it fell on the floor directly in front of them.
You know being german, you would think I'd like warm beer. Can't stand it.

I think there is a difference in noise levels between a big rig and a superduty...

Really, I am quiet. Until I get to know people. At that point I had known her for ohhh 1.75 years or so. Him, about 1.5 years. And no, she wasn't turning me on. She can be a real...ummm...I think we all know what word I'm thinking of. I'm pretty sure it would be blocked. Yes, she was there, that's why I made the comment. The exchange was something like: Friend, "Why are we walking outside in the cold when we could be walking inside the mall where it's warm?" Me, "Because [her name] likes it when her [body parts] get hard." There was one other friend with us as well.

Good afternoon gentlemen and stalking women I'm sure you have all missed my humor and wit, or is that dimwit? I'm sure my participation in this forum brings light and clarity to the ATV / Powerstroke world.
Glad to hear that confused has brought some usefull knowledge to the table (flashing OD light). My truck did that last summer and I had no idea what it meant. So are you saying that I should change my tranny fluid?
Hey BMW, I mean, B&RW, I mean, B&R, congrats on losing 50. How did you do it? And please don't tell me "Atkins". Are you sure you don't want a pic of me in a speedo?BR>
Hey everyone, why do you suppose that rescuediver wants you to become a supporting member? Maybe this forum is like Amway, and rescue is trying to get into the "Diamond Club", so he needs all of our $$. Next thing you'll know, he'll want to set up an appointment to see if we want to become a moderator, too. Of course, we would work for him and and 80% of all memberships will go to him.

WW, looks like the only one that gets stalked here by women is Confused. But, I think it's all a hoax. He has posted no proof, that it actually occurred. Other than posting her screenname, what was it? mudinmyface or something similiar
And I would say, that if your OD light was flashing, it might be a good idea to change that fluid. It probably has the consistency of cherry kool-aidBR>

Id split that fee and id pay for gas both ways..
Youd still have to pay for your food and your camping/lodging or whatever..
Wed have to take the jeep(obviosly) So everything has to fit in the back..
Im not sure if there are any camping spots left at the event but ill find out..

What the hell? Is everyone too good to have a Forda Beta Kappa chat today? And Confused; chick magnet? Yeah, that's what I would call you too. You should change your name to that. That's why the Ford sisters PM'd you. It's all starting to make sense now.BR>
Quick story: my wife calls me today at work (while I was having a body cavity search by the EPA), and informs me that my six year old has been peeing in his heat vent in his bedroom (he had also been disposing dead grasshoppers in there, too). Anywho, this heat vent is also my central air vent in the summer and has been smelling things up. I have been blaming the dog, but I usually blame him for several things (i.e., when I fart, lost homework, etc.). He also wizzed on the neighbor kid, too. What do I do? Do I wiz on him and call it good?
Hey, I rebuilt the carb on my sportsman 400 (runs like a champ).
Back on topic - how many miles does your truck have? I have 84,000.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
LOL WW. I was wondering what was up today. Nobody saying anything. And if you knew how little I actually do at work, you would post more like me.
Ummm the GMC has like ohhh 180-190K on it. Granted I got it with 136K on it. Put that on since Sept. '99. Not too bad. My personal car (Daewoo Nubira) just clicked over 30K miles in 3 years and ohhh 9 mos. (11/10/00). I've put on like 3,000 miles this year so far. Letting my mom borrow it while she gets her car registered...don't even ask.

I'm back, I'm trying to keep a straight faceWW that was a CLASSIC. Guess, your son should have yellow hair, not green
Well, seeing your a certified "pee removal expert", you should already have the expertise to take care of the problem. I think the "EPA" paid your son off. Just to keep you on your toes. We also have duel vents out here. But, I guess I'm fortunate that ours are 8 feet or so in the airNow, as far as the dog goes, it is a good reason to have one, covering up our piggish naturesut, I want to know what were the boys doing, that gave your son, the opportunity to wiz on him. Were they at school and he missed the urinal and landed on the neighbor boy standing in the next stall? Or was your son literally pi$$ed at him? I would not wiz on him, I would let the neighbor boy. An "eye for an eye" or in your case, "wiz for a wiz"
Back on subject, glad your carb was the problem and it's running like a champBR>
My truck has 69,586 mile on it.
Good luck with the boy. I'm sure he has good explanation on why he did what he did.

A couple good things happened today
First, I received the shocks that I bought from steve55, here on the forum. They are Works double rate AT steelers. Can't wait to put them on the mojaveBR>
And second, I am also one of the feature forum members for todayBR>

Trasher, glad to see you're back in the loop.since you bought a PSD, you have the privilege of being allowed to chat with us. B&R is our only exception.
ww the irony in all of this for me is that my 7 y/o Riley asked to get a mohawk today and was downright po'ed when we said no (we're going to a funeral tomorrow and i thought it'd be over the top).Plus I thought of your little guy right away. I guess what I'm asking the resident advice columnist is; should we be covering our vents in plastic and shrink-wrapping the neighbor kids? maybe have him wear a french safe 24/7 (like dad), just in case of emergency urges.
ya, I hate to kiss and tell, but basically the Ford sisters want me to tag-team them and turn them into the Banger Sisters. The chicks all want me, they just don't know it yet. Rescue, the last 3 sentences were close to the line, but still way over on this side of the edge so put your magic marker away.
I just bought a Yamaha Breeze. was advertised as a 1995, but the VIN sticker was missing that would normally show the year. I found the VIN stamped on the frame (super hard to find). For anyone who wants to know, the 10th digit in a VIN gives you model year. Letter K is 1989. letter 'o' is not used. In something like '02, they went to a number in the 10th digit to represent year. So guess what? mine is an '89. Called the guy and he claims it was sold to him as a '95. Negotiated a couple hundred bucks more off the price. BTW, ran VIN through CPIC (Canadian Police Info. Centre) and it came back clean.
why do I always find the people that advertise "exc cond", yet they've done NOTHING for maintenance and the thing is borderline about to fall apart? On both this and the '02 xr80 we just got, I took it apart and replaced plug, cleaned air filter & air box, took apart carb and cleaned it, adjusted chain and lubed all the cables. On Breeze, also replaced 2 broken/missing grease nipples, adjusted valves, straightened bent front crash bar, and I think float is off as I see a little drip out of bottom of carb. It needs to be cleaned and adjusted. the petcock works on reserve, but doesn't seem to work in "on" position. reverse indicator switch was disconnected, tailight was disconnected, and lots of loose or missing bolts. This is excellent condition? Man there are so many idiots and dumba$$ losers out there. I guess if it starts, that makes it "excellent", or "mint". Aaargghhh. just came in from shop for a break from this thing.
When I sell used, you know all the good and bad and the price reflects it. I never waste your time.I usually advertise firm price. When you show up, there's nothing to argue cuz there's no surprise cuz I already told you exactly what you'll see and get. And it's almost always turn-key. guess I'm the stupid one.
I've got 55,000 miles on my '99. because of the 2 extra rear tires on the dually, i only accumulate half the mileage.
BTW rescue, good one on WW about the pee degree. time to use that training on jr.
Posted by: rescuediver
Yea, it probably wouldn't want to go to a funeral with a son wearing a mohawk. This must be for your friend
I read right through your lines and didn't see a problemBut, I think they are more like Twisted Sisters going after youot Banger SistersBR>
Glad to hear you were able to squeeze some money out of the guy that sold the breeze to you. That's really unheard of. Must of threatened him with the Canadian mafiaDidn't you open your eyes when you looked at it, before buying it though am like you though, I sell it for what I feel it's worth and will let you know everything about it. I guess that's the price of being honestBR>

Hey confused, I'm confused; what's a french safe? Sorry about your friend.
On a lighter note, I think you should give Riley (is that right?) a Mohawk. He only lives once and heck, at least the neighbors would be right about you (white trash). I wanted to take him to church with the mohawk, but wifey wouldn't let me.BR>
It sounds like you bought an ATV from a reliable source.BR>
Ok ya'll...just wanted to update you on the little wizzer. He got to spend the day in his room (with his nose stuck on the carpet - just like a dog j/k). He has been put in eternal "Time Out". Since you can't beat the living hell out of your kids anymore, a "Time Out" is supposed to be punishment? BR>
And yes, he pissed on a kid on the street. Do you think the future Mrs. Mohawk will like "Golden Showers?" Oh, I could go on and on about my kid. He's the next "America's Wanted". He's Dennis the Mennis...cuter than hell, but sometimes a pain in the ars.BR>

Well, she didn't pay her registration cause she couldn't fint it. Emailed DMV (instead of calling which takes less time!) and it's All Their Fault. She didn't know how much her registration was. She ended up getting two tickets in 3 days at work (she works for the County) for not being registered. At least they didn't right her up for handicap as she has handicap plates on the car. So she's been driving my car for a week till she gets around to registering her car. It needs to be driven some so I'm not too upset. Plus maybe I can pawn it off on her. Take over the payments and you can have it. I spend too much on it for what little use I actually get out of it. Drive it in the evenings and on the weekends when I'm actually home.
Oh yeah, and the truck is a hair over 185,000 miles.

Well i've been following this thread for a long time, you guys sure ramble on. I've been lurking but not really posting(i think i posted a couple time)
I have an 01 f250 crew cab short bed 4x4 w/ a 4 inch lift and 35's and an 80hp chip.
As far as the flashing OD off light, it means your tranny is way too hot and you need to pull over immedaitely and let it cool down. I learned the hard way as whenever it went off i just ignored it, it happened 5 or 6 times probably all were near the top of a long grade while pulling our weekend warrior(12,000 lbs loaded) Well a month ago with 66k on the truck i was climbing out of a canyon with a smaller trailer(6000lb snowmobile trailer) and it wouldnt shift out of second gear and the OD off light was flashing. We stopped and at lunch to let it cool off. then it drove fine as we decided to head home.` Took it to the tranny shop and the pan was full of metal shavings(keep in mind i had the tranny fluid changed every 20k or so and it had about 18k on the fluid when they pull it at 66k) They pulled the tranny and it was toast, all the clutch plates were completely worn down and the planetary gears were toast. Well $3000 later i have a new tranny w/ a 3 year 36k mile warranty. So lesson learned, as soon as that OD off light starts blinking, pull over and let it cool.
Have 68k on the truck now and it pulls great still. I like the truck, just hate the tranny. My next truck will be a dodge cummins w/ a 6 speed.
I see a couple of you are from utah and canada, you guys snowmobile? We only ride quads when there isnt snow on the ground .

I wish they had time out when I was growing upI got punished with frying pans, curtain rods and the like. But then, I don't think "Danny, go sit in the corner" would of done a bit of good. Jetsnow, Welcome to our threadYea, you are right, we can get a little winded. But, we are having so much fun, shoveling this BS all around North AmericaBR>Speaking of BS, where's ConfusedBR>Also, Jetsnow, I take it you didn't have any aftermarket guages to go with your 80 hp chip? Also, was the transmission covered under warranty?
Posted by: jetsnow600
EGT guage but nothing for the tranny(i was told the EGT was the important one, never anything about the tranny)
Tranny warranty is only for 3 years and 36k and i had 66k on the truck when it happened so no warranty. Only the motor has a 100k mile warranty.
By the way, this might make a big difference, but this truck doesnt get driven without a trailer hooked to it, well maybe 5% of the miles without a trailer. I have a jeep wrangler and a commuter car i use for that stuff. The truck is hooked to a 6000lb snowmobile trailer from november to mid may and our 12,000lb weekend warrior from mid may till october. Isnt that what trucks are for? That is also y i think my next truck needs to be a 6 speed.

I know about the usual warranty . I was wondering if you had an extended warranty on it and Ford refused to cover it due to the 80 hp chip. Read horror stories on the internet about them refusing warranty work like that.
It's my understanding that anything above 60 hp should have the boost, trans and pyro guages.
The way you have your truck set up is awesomeWish mine could just sit with the trailer attached waiting for the next fun tripimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> But, I just love mine to much, to watch it sit in the drive way. Yup.. Anything above 60hp you need guages, at least a 4" exhaust and a free flowing intake...
That sucks bout the tranny.. These ford trannys are not built ford tough..

Actually I've been pretty happy with my Daewoo. Only problem I have is the flippin A/C has a mind of it's own. It works when it feels like it. But when it does...BRRRR. Reminds me of older Ford A/Cs. It's something in the control panel. It just won't stay on sometimes. Though sometimes I can drive holding the button all the way in and it works. Oh well. Us Daewoo owners are getting shafted more than some 6.0 PSD owners. At least they don't get constantly beat up on for buying something. Now I just let them know the Chevy Aveo (or however it's spelled) and the new Suzuki cars are...guess...Daewoos.
My motor is a Daewoo and the tranny is a GM unit. You can clearly see the GM logo stamped on the front side of the case. It's not a GM. It's not a GM. And parts aren't hard to find. Just have to go to your local <cough> GM dealer. Though I think they changed the brakes on these things more than Ford has changed injectors on the 6.0.
It's got decent power. Mileage is ok (20/32). But its funny, if I drive 55 on the way over to Pismo, I get worse mileage than if I drive 65. I guess because I'm carrying more speed through the corners and up the hills she's not having to work as hard. I actually need to get her out on the road and take a day trip somewhere just for the heck of it.
Anyone else hate it when someone borrows your car and you just can't get the seat back in the same position? Arg.

I have a 96 saturn 4 door car for my commuter car. I cant seem to kill the thing. Bought it for $3000 w/ 90k on it just over 3 years ago and it has around 140k on it now. Never had a single problem with it knock on wood. The crazy thing is it gets 40mpg on the high, 38 w/ the AC on(and its super cold AC) and the worst mileage i have ever gotten with it is 34mpg, that was lots of stop and go, AC, and running the crap out of it. Pretty amazing.
I think i drive too much. I put around 15k miles a year on my saturn, 12k miles on my jeep wrangler and 20k+ miles a year on the truck. lol

Ramble on? Us? I'm glad to see that Trasher and jetsnow have decided to join Forda Beta Kappa. Of course, Trasher is the founder of FBK (pin #1).
I really would like to get a sled. I have been looking at the RMK800 and have decided that it is a sled for me. I go to a lot of hill climbs to watch those crazy ba$tard$ climb. My brothers and I went to Jackson Hole to the championship hill climbs a few months ago. However, I liked Widow Maker in Utah much better (better wrecks).BR>

Golden showers...good times.... Wifey had to shampoo his room, twice. She was not a happy camper. Hey, and chick magnet is still out of town (I think). Do you miss him? I sure don't...he's kind of a whiner and I'm starting to get the feeling that he's a little light in the loafers.
B&R,
Are you kind of a momma's boy? Does she still do your laundry and make you dinner? She probably makes your bed, too. I traded my mom in for a wife. It's a woman's job to take care of her man / little boy. Now she does that all for me, while I'm working my a$$ off at work. Oh come on ladies...we all know that it's your responsibility to cook, clean, and to be subservient to your Man.BR>
Oh yeah, Ford's....I really like my truck... It's a good truck...It gets me to work...It gets me to "play"... Is that enough rambling for you?
Oh where is MrTommy?

Not having a/c in the valley can be quite brutalight now, you just never know what parts your going to get in your vehicle., When I was 16, I had a Luv. It was powered by a Isuzu motor. There really is no such thing as 100% American Made. Hey, if your happy with it. I don't care what you drive, I'm not maintaining it or making the paymentsAnd the mileage you posted, You just can't beat it nowadaysBR>And B&R, I know what your talking about with the seatsish mine had the auto resetBR>Sometimes, I wonder how people, especially women, can turn. They sit so darn close to the steering wheelBR>
I thought I drove alot. I've put 20,000 miles on my truck in 6 months. And I'm not including the mileage I log while working.
WW, I bet the wife wasn't happyissing Confused, I think he's still confused on how to fix that Breeze he boughtI saw he was getting some info on the thread he posted for it. Said he has been in the shop working late on it. I think he is in the doghouse for buying the Breeze and the m/crobably doesn't have electricity in the shop. So maybe we should treat him like a mushroom, that is, Keeping him in the dark, and feeding him BSBR>
Also, B&R is trying to recruit DQ,Girlygirl and Ridingfolks, to the thread and WW, you make a girly comment like that. No wonder Confused got the PMYour all looks, but no suave'BR>
And MrTommy, is working and has family in from Chicagoy home townSo, he'll be doing some catch-up in a few days

Everyone must be out ridinghould be alot of stories posted after this weekend wanted to go to Pismo today, kids wanted a family nighto, I was out votedater

It's a home weekend for me as well. Went saw the new Tom Cruise movie with my bro. Pretty good if you like action flicks. But some of the cinemaphotography in the beginning made my head spin. Too much moving around and not in focus.
IIRC, the motor and tranny were built in Australia. Everything was put together somewhere in South Korea.
I don't see how some people drive period. THe ones who tilt the seat WAYYYYY back. Ugh. My seat back has to be JUST right or it annoys me. I know I've got it set right, but because I had to adjust it, it doesn't feel right. Because I've lost weight, it feels almost like I'm sitting further back from the wheel. But I'm not, it's just my belly isn't so close.
I'm not sure where anyone else is. I'm guessing power is up running around some trails up in the forest. it's gotta be beautiful up there right now. I think it's supposed to be mid-90s on the floor today. Should be 10 degrees less at Oakhurst, and lower up in the mountains.
Me, recruit women? Noooo. Go back and search and find the first time I replied to a message with her on it. Everyone thought I was trying to pick up on her. Nope. I know when I'm not in a class. Plus I like my women tame. Pole dancer? Too much.

I enjoy driving it every chance I can
I'm sure you could use a 6 speed up in them hillshr>
Even a stock truck needs gauges if you tow heavy IMO. My WW weighs around 11,500lbs loaded.
With both my 02 and 04, I can hit 1250F on the EGT pretty easy. Especially that long hill coming back from Glamis.
I know people say a stock truck should be fine...... but that has not been my experience.

I see this thread needs an injection of life, so i'm back. I was going to use golden shower in my first reply to ww's pee-mail... but i thought NO WAY that was going to fly past the censor... ww uses it and gets a big laugh. see, i told ya that you guys just wanna pick on the poor Canadian. oops, is that the whining ww was accusing me of?
I was at Willy's funeral. pretty cool, they did it at the Ford dealership. 100's of people crammed in the shop. Had his casket sitting in an '04 F350 Crew cab shortbox diesel.
ww, french safe=condom.
jetsnow, I have zero cash left for a sled. BUT, my wife's logger cousins that got me into atving live on their sleds. they're fanatical about them. I've been warned that if i enjoy atving, i'll love sledding. funny, these guys swear Polaris is the best sled, but none of them care much for Polaris atvs.
AND what are ya talking about Dodge for?? are you crazy? I mentioned Duramax and got crucified, you talk dodge and nobody says anything. see, they pick on me cuz I'm Cdn.
B&R, I'm picturing principal Skinner's mother/son relationship here.
did you guys notice what a yappy mouthpiece ww is, taking all those liberties with you? I'm much kinder and gentler. the wide receiver from BYU accuses me of being loafer lite??
my truck... the rear pinion seal is leaking again!! replaced it at 22,500 miles, now it's at 55,000 miles and it's leaking like Kyler on the neighborhood kids. ww, is this fire-hydrant kid kinda like the kid from dumb & dumber who bought the bird from the 2 dummies? why would he stand there to get pee'd on? I think he's the one that needs help, your son's actions were normal; I always try to do the same thing at a public urinal... but not get caught (there's a little Pee-Wee Herman and George Michaels in all of us). img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">.

ahh. I got home at 2:30 again.. Woke up at 8:30.. I cant usually sleep in.. I have to nap during the day.. lol

BTW, hope you're all enjoying your sweltering heat. we had a solid week of rain and actually enjoyed it. grass is still brown, but at least we can have campfires at the Gov't campsites again (I hope).
most of you now have new nick-names and it'd be nice if you try and keep with the program.
rescue=Antonio for his legendary brick and tile building skills.
B&R = Seymour Skinner (principal from the Simpsons, but we'll just call him Seymour).
ww= well, I haven't got the perfect handle for you quite yet. I'm thinkin' frat-boy is short and sweet. but kinda plain, and doesn't give the complete picture. maybe 007 for the double life you lead away from home while secretly chatting with us FBK boys. polyorchid polygamist is good, but too long. we could shorten it to PP, in which case it'd have a double meaning encompassing Kyler's new pastime, which is undoubtedly a gene he got from you. For now it's PP, but i reserve the right to change it when I come up with a better name that pegs it.
confused= chick magnet
Mr. Tommy, lincster, Powerstroke 01, jetsnow and trasher, yer gonna have to be patient until you let something slip that we can pounce on and use against you... then you'll have your new handles too!
hey PP, I read your old post and couldn't understand one of the words you used, so i looked it up in the whitewater dictionary. the word? "wife"- ww definition= gadget you screw on the bed and it does the housework.
Oh, truck stuff... ummm, I need 75w-140 synthetic for my rear diff+ friction modifier. kinda hard to find this stuff just anywhere.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Well, a wife would first require a fiance, which would require a girlfriend or "female friend." <cough><cough> And finding one of those that doesn't have a lot of problems is harder than finding a good used car. There aren't too many new, or low mileage 25+ year old ones around. I've looked for newer models, but they tend to not have the kinks (not to be confused with kinky, which is a good thing, well, can be) worked out. The older models tend to come with extra accessories that I may not want, but sometimes aren't that bad.
Can be quite difficult. Maybe I should have WW box up one of them Mormon girls in UT and ship her here. I've heard some of them don't drink, smoke, etc. The ones I find around here don't quite fit the Devout title all that well. She can keep her religion as long as I don't have to. We even have us on of them there Temple thingymajigers in Fresno.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Bed at 2:30 and up at 8:30? LOL. Ok, try 2:30 and up in time to make it to the office by 8... LOL. Yeah, I don't make it to work on time all that much. Nice relaxed work environment. But come 5 I leave tracks getting out of there.

Well, the family and I visited the county fair tonight. Not to bad, A few nice ladies walking around think I would of rather have gone to Pismo though, I'm positive, it would of been cheaperBR>Confused, you were right, the thread needed to be jump started and you did that. I love WW's new handle,"PP" I don't know about Seymour for B&R, My best firend's name is that, and that's who I picture when I read ito, I think you need to think harder on that oneBR>And mine, Antonio, Hhmmmm, I think of Melanie Griffith, Not to bad, could think of worseBR>
Power. must be in the air, I had to take a nap today myself, very seldom does that occursBR>
Confused, You are right about the heat here. It has come back. But you know, we don't get rain during the summer. If we do, it's in the mountains. Right now, there's a wild fire going in a county to the east of us. We've been getting some smoke down in the valley. Friend of ours turned down going up there on a strike team.
The heat during the day, has kept me out of the garage, which means, I haven't put the shocks on the Mojave yetOn another note, I'm starting to see more concrete flooring in the garage

Seymour can be Skinner instead. I think Mr. tommy could be Pa, as he's our elder statesman, and from Nevada (isn't that where the Cartwrights were from?). BTW, Lorne Green, ANOTHER good Canadian kid makin' it big in the US.

Those F650s are so coolMaybe in my F250's next life, it will come back as a F650That F350 is definately one of a kind. With all that work, kind of wonder why the owner sold itBR>More money into it, then, what they are asking for it
Posted by: confusedbuyer
I liked both trucks. the f650 would be a dream... an expensive one. with a Cat engine!?!? awesome.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
The 300HP Cat motor from them starts at like $84K. The 4x4 option is $25.5K. So you're in for what...$110K before you even start with the goodies. I wonder what they could do with one of them F750 based Fun Movers....I seen what I thought was the 40' model at Pismo over a week ago. Nice.
The 650 pickups are CAT 3126B powered with Allison 6 speed double OD trannies. Come on baby...it's $33M this Saturday...6 little numbers...come on PLEASE!

LOL, When you win, don't forget who your buddies arehat's a lot of money for a toy hauler. But, it will definately get you where you want to go
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Toy hauler....39'11" Max it out. Some kind of stacker system. Sweet 4 seat rail on the bottom and 4 quads up top. The rest...whatever I can make fit. LOL. Nice custom trailer. First thing is the garage, then the living quarters. LOL. How about slides on both sides? Ahhh the possibilities...and I wouldn't forget you...you can sleep in the garage anytime. LOL. Have to get a nice Excursion with a 6 place flat bed trailer for those day trips.
Posted by: rescuediver
B&R, thankshe garage would be greatt's better then the doghouse I'm usually in I was watching something, don't remember whatart of getting oldnd they showed a garage in a toy hauler that had a hydraulic lift in the back, to stack your toys on. It was swweeeetttttimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">hat, just like the F650, will be in a latter life

Yeah, the hydraulic lift is what I was talking about to stack the toys. I figure I could get some folding cots and put them in the back for the buds.

I might have to add the hydralics to my toy trailer when I get one. Especially, if I get one with a garage. Saw a nice one last week in Galt. Can't remember the maker of it thought had a triple slide out. What a monster. Definately need F550/650 to haul it.

Did anyone miss me? Sorry, I took a 4-day weekend. I went to a parade (g a y pride) j/k, to a Pro-Rodeo, took the family riding, went to an amusement park, (2) water parks.....whew....is that it? The only bad thing is now I'm broke. However, may I just say that I love Bikini's. Or should I say speedo's?BR>
PP? I like frat boy better than PP. Oh and he gets chick magnet. Is that fair? However, I did like Seymore (now that was funny).
Was the forum down? Did someone forget to pay the power bill? It's because Dick Magnet, I mean, Chick Magnet didn't pay his supporting member dues. Hey Skinner, you forgot to say "My Precious...Forum".BR>

Dick Magnet, PI, pleased to meet ya.... sounds like a new TV series. with the numerous comparisons to Magnum PI throughout my life, i guess it was inevitable.ww, apparently yo mamma raised 1 stupid kid that lived. if you don't like PP, don't tell US that!! cuz now the name is sure to stick with ya..... DQ: Cause I want one. LOL. And it's a GMC, not a Chevy. LOL. Well, I've ridden in a Jeep, but not even a PSD. I just really like the PSDs and am a Ford Guy...but I don't own one. Weird, yah.
From my end, and from the error Power got, it was a DNS issue. Only way to know for sure is if the Powers That Be fessed up. Thing is, this wasn't the first time. But it was the longest outtage in my year of gracing these forums.
Confused: Actually I think I mentioned this thread on another forum/thread (Where to Ride - California Thread) when someone made a comment about her pics or something and so she probably came over.

OK guys, we need to find a name for Miss DQ. I'm thinking something about Pole Girl, but she took that pic off.
OT: Any decent places to eat down in Hanford & Lemoore? May be heading down that way this weekend. Only place I know of is Superior Dairy in Hanford.

Hmm well...he posted last night.... Maybe he's putting the shocks on the Mojave. Why, in this heat, I have no idea. It's supposed to be 107 here, 102 in Sacramento and he's closer up there. Still too damn hot to be outside. Or Maybe he's working.
OK, so back to WW?

107? What the hell? That's too dang hot for me. I think it will get up to 90 at my place.

Fresno Weather
It's 21% humidity, and it will drop as it warms up. We get less rain than most deserts. Average is like 10.5" a year or so. Usually Sept-April is when we get rain. Sometimes, we haven't gotten rain until October. Snow? What's that? Every 20+ years snow drops on the valley floor. But it never sticks. All the snow falls up in the Sierras.

skinner, i wuz gonna take credit for this fine acquisition, but then DQ had to ruin the suspense and say a "white bird" told her, which means PP since he's whitewater. It all fits. He's a deviant stalker, so naturally he'd scour the site lookin for pics of pretty woman and then try to lure them into his polygamist harem. Man, ya gotta admire those BYU guys for their savvy.
PP, ya just don't get it... the more you tell us you don't like PP, the more it sticks. it's like picking a fight with Mrs. WW, ya just won't win. since PP stands for polyorchid polygamist, we could just call you Poly instead.. it'd help bolster your cross-dressing tranny image too.
I'm busted... PP.., since I'm a Hershey he-she, can i join the harem?
BTW PP, it's not "one look and they're gone"... I think it's the leacherous drool that scares 'em away, or it could be when you start dry-humping their leg like a puppy in heat ( I know that move always scares 'em away from me). And i do get PMs!!, but it's more like stalking now. Maybe DQ can get the ...isntjustforboys girls to come back??

That was the whole joke of it. Around here we either go to El Quetzel (next to Rodeo Lanes) or maybe Antonios (next to the Von's on Shaw in Clovis) but it was junk (that should pass the filter) last time I was there.

I have never heard of such girls...and if they did really exsist, why in the hell would they pick this thread to post in?
That's the thing...I've never heard of them either. Just in this thread. I think that confused got really confused on night and thought he was a woman (or women), created accounts and left private messages for himself because he thought he was cute.

Welcome DQI like "DQ" just fine for her, as she is now a Forda Beta SisterNow. don't start trashing this thread, like the "other thread" that is on borrowed timeBR>
Well, site goes downfor a real good reasont least I think soPlus, I don't think anyone could of controlled it
Anyways, WW, I mean PP, my ears were ringing earliermust of been when you put the APB out on me was busy today running the kids around and doing errandsBR>
Talk about HOT, It was 111 degrees little after 5pm. Now, I don't know what the official high was. But, where I was at, it was too dang hotood thing though, is the humidity is around 10%. Real low, which is good, I can deal with the dry heat. Unlike the humidity like in ChicagoPlus, after 11pm, open the house up and get a nice delta breeze for the eveningBut come 11am. Time to button the hatchesBR>
Skinner, I think, (Ok, I try not to do too much of that anyways, being down in the Fresno area, you would find a better authentic mexican restaurant to eat at other than Chihuahua Specials at Taco Bell
In Confused defense, (a position I'm am not to fond of I have seen some posts from isntjustforboys and mudisntjustforboys. I think they are actually sisters tooHhhhmmmm, I'll stop, before this thread goes side ways, like the other threadBR>
Did I say Welcome to DQ

skinner, glad to see ya decided to pile on with the rest of the hounds. It's a national past time called "pickin' on the poor 'lil 'ol Canadian kid"... DQ, can you send some PMs to the others just to make their day? their self-confidence is suffering and they're in denial over the chick-magnet's natural internet feramone effect. tell them you checked their pics and they look hot (in other words, some big fat lies).
my PM was really a chewing out about accusing them of being posers, when it was PP who called them fat old men sitting naked in their basement. and he came out smelling like a rose.
I'm losing patience working on this '89 Breeze and the 18' car hauler..... electric brake problems. i'll whine more later.

Well I just took the PSD on its first real long trip by itself. Last spring i took it to utah to pick up a new snowmobile trailer and got 15-16mpg going out there empty.
Well today I went up to Bend Oregon and back(8 hours each way) around 970 miles round trip. Towing nothing, but had a snowmobile on the way back from bend(reason i was going there, bought a snowmobile) On the way up empty i got around 17-18mpg going 65-80mph depending on the road, etc. On the way home i got 18-19mpg and going about 65-75mph.
I was amazed at the mileage, keep in mind this is hand calculated and the truck has a 4" lift w/ 35" tires which makes me lose some mileage.
I filled up in La Pine Oregon and made it all the way home on 25 gallons(460 miles or so). I have a short bed so it has the small 29 gallon tank, at first i thought my guage must be messed up but it wasnt. BR>
Another thing weird was i got better mileage coming home w/ a 550 pound snowmobile in the back. Keep in mind i still had the campershell on the truck and left the tailgate down/ campershell window open. The truck weighs 8000lbs w/ me in it so i am happy w/ the mileage i got. I am by no means easy on the gas and whenever i had to pass someone i got on it.

ya, that's the great thing about a diesel; your mileage doesn't change with a load, unless it's super heavy and 550lbs is nothing. I think bigger tires =better mileage cuz you go further with each revolution. it's like being higher geared. I got 5 kilometers per litre, going 75-85 mph, thru 2-3 mtn ranges last week. that's about 12mpg. bear in mind I'm full size, dually, 4:10 gears.
what's with the sled, planning a trip to the great white north? or do you guys sled in the snow that gets dumped by the Zamboni outside the local ice rink? LOL, I forgot to tell PP, we get 1 day of snow per year that lasts about 2 days. we're about the only spot in Canada that can say that (and Vancouver Island, and the rest of our we(s)t coast. anything inland or in elevation gets snow. my buddy in Terrace, BC used to shovel from his roof and have to pitch UPHILL!! In Stewart, BC (right next to Hyder, Alaska), they get more snow than that.
i'm off to yamaha forum to see if someone can finally answer a couple of relatively easy Q's about the Breeze.

I decided to do a little researchto put to rest or bring more attention to Don "Confused" Juan So much posting has been made about his ability or inability to attract females. After you read the following post, I think you will find out, that fortunately for Don Juan, the Canadian Lover(self proclaimed)hat he is already marriedimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>
So, I think it is safe to say, the PM's he received, were not love lettersut, probably "drop dead letters"BR>
hey, are you sure you aren't the same person as mudisntjustforboys? But in that post you had a 2003 Powerstroke with a 6" lift, now it's a 2002 with a 3" lift. And you had a 26' enclosed trailer, but now it's 40'.....amazing what happens if you keep adding water to them things!!Is your's a dually? If you own all those toys, sleds, race cars, quads, trailers, then i think you should change your name to everymansdreamgirl, or, 2good2Btru!!
we need way more women like you! Oh, and if you are the same person, I meant to comment on your previous signature.. "always wear clean underwear because you never know when they'll be cut off by the paramedics"..
Now I wear 'em clean just cuz it's the sanitary thing to do, but the way i see it, if the paramedics are cutting them off of me, there's an excellent chance I'll have just filled them.

Wed June 23, 2004 8:52 PM
if it is some old guy, what a shame, cuz the lady on that quad looks stunning, and just when I thought no-such dream woman existed, someone has to destroy it!! I dunno tho, there's a profile with a name.... Naw, I'll keep dreaming, they can't take away my dreams!

once again you slithered in while i was posting something serious, useful and creative, which makes my last post outta place.
Lt. Dan, don't you have a shrimp boat you should be working on , or a box of Mama's chocolates you should be quaffing? and your point would be....??? I was merely trying to compliment the ladies while Mr. Misogeny was scaring them away. Undoubtedly my kind and complimentary words kept them around a few posts longer until PP scared them away. At least I was being friendly and courteous while you guys kept trying to bore the ladies with PSD chat.
DQ, I guess you get to be the new dream girl until PP chases you away with his vulgarity. I'm much kinder and gentler than these other neanderthals. they're knuckledraggers, whereas i'm the original canucklehead.

Jetsnow, You are getting about the same mileage as mineI love it. They say your best mileage comes when you hit around 80,000 miles. For me, that's right around the corner, I am just shy of 70,000 right now. My neighbor found a place in southern ca. that has a 55 gallon tank for the s/b's. Cost around $700. Thinking about someday getting one. I know when I haul my trailer with the quads, I'm still getting 15-16 mpg at about 68 mph. I have gotten as good as 22 mpg on a trip home from Paso Robles. I am a firm believer too, that your mileage is effected by whom you buy your fuel from because of different blends.
Confused, you still having the same problems with the breeze? or is it something different? Sounds like it's time to take it to a real mechanicre there such things, in the great whte north

antonio, this is the best detective work you've done since earning top donut quaffing honors (with sprinkles), and it must have taken you hours to compose it. If only you could put that kind of passion and effort into your day to day work, you'd be Col. Klink by now!... And for what... to expose a deprived man's fantasies?? for the record, you chose NOT to share a key fact with the defense (but then withholding material evidence that would exonerate someone is the first thing taught in police/detective training 101). Specifically, I practically repeated the berating I got in the PM, verbatim. And let's not overlook it shoulda been PP's PP getting whacked there, not mine. So, there's a fine piece of defense work, provided by me, Dick Magnet, PI. And be careful, I sense a new name coming, cuz no one is using Antonio. think of how much ww likes PP!! BR>
I just spent an hour reading old posts for 'breeze' in the Yamaha forum, all the way back to '99. I only have a couple of minor Q's. hope someone finally helps me there... but so far no where near the luck I get on the kid's quads forum (you know, the place where PP tries to find his next victim, I mean GF). Hey, that's where he lured DQ from, with the promise of great adventure. DQ also stands for dairy queen, so there may be a new handle coming your way too DQ. I'd share a couple now, but they'd get censored.

Good morning ya'll. I'm happy to see that someone is getting good fuel mileage, cuz I'm NOT!!!!! I get about 15 towing nada, zero, zilch, nothin', and 11 towing my train (WTH)? Of course, it's my daily driver and I have a 1000 ft climb to work each day (Park City).
I'm jealous. I wish I could go buy a sled. But noooooooooooooooooooooo, I have to be poor / in debt up to my eyeballs (the American way).BR>
Hey, I see that Lt. Dan officially gave DQ (Dairy Queen) the Forda Beta Kappa seal of approval. Or did Canucklhead already scare her away?
I posted a few new pics. Hopefully they will get approved soon.
Enjoy!

pp, the little white bum shot is HILARIOUS. talk about confusing the poor little guy... on one hand you chastize him for doing the act, and then you encourage and exploit it for your own selfish photo op. If I was him, I'd be so confused (well, i guess i'm always confused), that I'd wait 'till you were sleeping and give you a golden shower of your own.
thrasher, that's the Bob and Doug MacKenzie way of putting out the fire.
pp, is that the mantle/tile work you did? good job. thanks for grinding my face in it by continually posting sexy pics of the wife.I think you're trying to get DQ to post something more provocative. and i'll stop talking to DQ is that'll make her come back. ooohhhh, those pictures..., I gotta go fix the trailer.

He's probably still cleaning that thing. Got a little dusty one day. I'm thinking that if I ever get one...it's not gonna be black...
Power: when you going to get the wheels back? I really haven't ridden since we did that long run. I mean REALLY ridden.

I'm telling you, black really sucks. That's probably the main reason I want a dif truck.

But for the 5 minutes that they are clean they are SOOOOO pretty. All of the work trucks are white and it takes a trip to Pismo and a coating of sand to "get dirty." My Daewoo is gold and does a decent job of hiding dust.

You could have strapped the 'Lander ot the roof of the 'stang. Just drive up the hood! If you can climb the stump at Kamook you could have done that...of course the hood would have been dented into the engine....

It's been to quite a few placesAnd what's great is it keeps coming back to the same subject, a 7.3 Powerstroke. Look, PP is talking about hauling around a 6lb burger in his. May I suggest the bedthat way you can just rinse out all that special sauce that will drip out of itOoohhh , wait a minute, PP and special sauce, do they go togetherBR>
WW, your fireplace turned out very niceI'm impressed. What's more impressive is the wife standing in front of it. I think it runs in your family, break out a camera and the PP'S are ready to pose for you. Now, Jr. you just can't keep the pants on him, can you? I bet that runs in the family tooFor his age it's cute, for you, it's indecent exposure and a trip to the Pokey house for you. Maybe, Don Juan can put on his orange cover-alls and you guys can share a roomBR>
Posted by: rescuediver
DQ, glad to see you didn't get scared off by Confused, aka: Don Juan and Whitewater, aka. We do try to be a little more civil in this thread, sometimes we go astray, but eventually, we make it back to the vehicle of our choice, a PowerstrokeBut, hey jeeps are cool too, they do look good, especially with no top on them.
Powerstroke, You need to get the top off of yours, drill some holes in the floor board and just rinse the dirt out of the inside. Atleast, that's what I want to do, if, I ever get a jeep.
Do you guys think a jeep would fit in the back of a powerstroke? That way, when I get to old(happening before my eyes) I can still take my truck with my new toy, which might just be a jeep and I won't need to trailer it.
Posted by: confusedbuyer
powerstroke, that was a beaut 'stang. like the color, like the rims. did you get the lobotomy before or after you lost your mind and ditched the 'stang and went with a Jeep?? oh well, they may be a better chick magnet, I dunno. pp might get one if they are, I heard they make good playground cruisers for guys like him. and what were you doing in Skankway?? you had to go through here to get there ya know!
I think stalker might be a better name than pp. I didn't even know who you were talking about ("she's dumb as a rock"), but i shoulda figured, if there was a pretty girl somewhere on the forum, you'd sniff her out. I better chat with my 16 &20 y/o daughters about deviants like you. whadya figure your success ratio is stalker, 50 invasions to find 1 pretty one? BR>
antonio, you mean "powerstroke" is a truck?? I thot it was something from the Kama Sutra, and PP was trying to lure as many victims as he could to try and practice it on them (either gender). yep, he'd look good as my kid in orange coveralls. he could be the daddy and i'll be the mommy.... that's a great joke but i have to stop cuz if i go any further I'll cross way over the censor line.
I started working on the 18' car hauler trailer this AM and worked 13 hours with only 1 10 minute brake for Mc-Yuks. that 6-pounder sure looked a lot tastier. gotta get a commercial inspection soon, so I can attach a VIN to it and sell it. I finally got all the trailer brakes working, and only had to replace one magnet (non-chick kind). replaced all the spring bushings, including the brass bushing on the spring equalizer. now I can see light at the end of the tunnel... some final wiring, hook up the breakaway and battery, replace one board, and put on the reflective tape. then see how anal and picky the inspector wants to be.
I noticed something I don't like about bearing buddies. they only put grease in the inner bearing, and most people over-fill them. the overfill pushes out the seal, which leaves a chance for grease to drip all over the inside of the brake. had to re-attach 2 seals.
Posted by: rescuediver
Confused, You sure have put a lot of time and effort into that trailerNow, your going to turn around and sell itre you going to make a profit on it or are you going to sell it to get from under the money pit?How do you find time to work on the breeze? or did you give up on it for now?
Didn't realize your children were that oldow, I know why you are all over PP like that just own a gun to protect each daughter I haveigure, when the boys come over, they will introduce themselves to me as I maticuliously clean themBR>
Bearing buddies can be greatbut yes, you need to make sure you don't over fill themtherwise, it could detrimental to stopping

I have something that maybe you guys can help me with. My family is going to Chicago for 10 days at the end of the month. I will be on my ownave a few things I might do while they are having fun, too. One is go to Idaho/Oregon border and do some fishing, Go to Pismo for 3-4 days with friends and or, I was thinking about doing a road trip. Probably going to Dumont, Glamis, Sand Mountain and somewhere in between. Figure do one big loop. Anyways, this is sort of a once in a life time trip for me without the family. I was also thinking, while out on the road, maybe we could meet up? Any thoughts? Lt. Dan

Truck question: does anyone know about the warranty for corrosion? Is is 5 years?
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Rescue: He did have the top off. I should have posted the pic I took of him cross a creek. Nice to see water out there that was crystal clear. And the top was off...that's why it's so flippin dirty. Not all level 3 roads are nice flat gravel things. I think that Jeep actually gives you instructions in the owner's manual on how to wash the Jeeps out (literally.)
Sounds like a cool trip to make. I'm game if you want to come ride up in the mountains here around Miami.
WW: I'd check your owners manual or call the dealer. I think everyone (manuf.) is different.
Posted by: Whitewater
Thanks B&R. I just called the stealership and was told that Ford covers corrosion (inside-out) for 5 years. They won't cover things like chip damage, etc. My tailgate has about had it. I need to go have them decide if it's covered or not.

Get jacked up from road salt in the winter?
Posted by: Trasher
The tailgate is done in just 5 years? What about the rear insides of the fenders?
Posted by: Whitewater
Road salt tears things up. I bought my wife a Lexus LS400 and it pretty much stays in the garage for the winter.
I'm not sure what's going on with my truck paint. It looks like it got painted at Maaco.
Posted by: rescuediver
WW, I need to take my truck in tooI have some paint bubbling on the passenger door and It's not from road salt B&RMaybe Salt waterbut not road saltBR>
WW, when you did your fireplace, did it have a brick facia and mantle, that you had to tear down? That's what I need to tear downwhen I do mine.
B&R, I'm not sure what I'm doing yet, but maybe one day we can hook up. You have any rides planned between Aug 20-28th? Those are my actual free days. If I go to Pismo, looking at dates 22 thru 25th.

I thot I'd use the trailer for toy hauling, but now I think it's a bit long and I'd rather find a nice enclosed toy hauler, but they're so expensive. I'll be into this for about 1k, 3 full days of work and it should be worth 2k after certification.yep, I definitely need some dough to pay for one of the new kids toys. And you gave me a great idea for the extra quad, so I may stick with quad deck and travel-trailer. It's awfully tough to go from 30' TT to an 11' camper.
the Breeze is waiting for an answer on the yamaha and kids quads forums, but I've pretty much finished it. guess i may need to get a manual for it.
hey, I'm not that old.... just turned 40 this year. I just figured out what fits where at an earlier age ( while PP was still trying to figure out which species he was most compatable with. If you listen carefully on a quiet night, you can still hear the sound of heart-broken sheep neighing). I had so much fun the first time, i thought I'd do it all over again. does that mean I'm ostracized from the FBK now? NO FAIR! PP's got several wives and stalks many more.
Antonio, I think you backhandedly slapped us in the face and then kicked us in the groin for good measure.
quote "Oh, i have a problem, I have 10 DAYS OF FREAKIN HOLIDAYS WITH NO WIFE OR KIDS, whatever shall i do?" we'd DIE for that dilemna!! pp would have a revolving door temporarily installed for that timespan, and his wife would have to double-shrink wrap him in a full body condom. I'm at a total loss for words (a rarity for me) as to what I'd do. If you make it north, you can stay in our spare room and I'll take ya ridin for a day. plus lots of other rec around here. or you could just go to your state's capital, Srotumento, cuz it's nice and close to home.
ya, enjoy the time, whatever... you squid!

I'll bet that your truck will be covered by warranty.
Fireplace: the wifey wanted the room painted again (3rd time in 3-years) to match the new leather couches, etc. Anywho, the tile surround on the fireplace didn't match, so I began to carefully take it off. One problem, the tile was glued onto sheetrock. I ended up cutting the wall out and replacing the sheetrock, which may I say is really fun. I ended up floating mud and mastic on the wall to make things even (it really sucked).
I hung the mantle a couple of years ago and didn't have to mess with it (luckily).

I re-read my post again, I can see where someone with a 3rd grade edumication might of read it wrongI was referring to cleaning the guns. Of course, I should clean the boys toothat way they don't give my princesses any scabbiees or anythingDon Juan, in the great white north, do they allow you to actually own any weapons? Or do you need to check them out from the government, for hunting season

LOL, A man's every dream I guessI definately will miss the kids, more then the wifeYou are a little to far north for me. If, I head north, it will be to the Oregon/Idaho border along the Snake River. Never been there, hunting buddies are going fishing there before heading to Oregon for bow season. Any one know of any riding areas along the Snake River?

Rescue: That's a bad week for me to take off during the week. Plus my friends would kill me for not going with them that weekend to Pismo. I hardly ride with them anymore. Found another group that's a lot more fun to ride with. Like one big family. But if you up this way either weekend (21/22 or 28/29) I can do that up the hill.
WW: Leave fluffy out of this! And there's not basement. We don't have them thingies here. Well, maybe 1% of the houses do. Ground is so hard they don't want to dig it out I guess.

Sheet rock should be left up to the pro's, not weekend warriors / once every couple of year guys. Luckily, what I just did was covered up by tile.
Hey confused, sounds like your trailer has been quite a chore. In the past year, I have put on a new axle, springs, shackles, deck, repainted, rewired, etc. Now I just realized that I need to lower the trailer a bit. No rest for the wicked.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Why do you need to LOWER the trailer? Sitting tongue low?
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Aww man. First the pole pick was gone. Now all of them are gone. Sheesh.

I see I'm the only one calling you PP, so I guess it's back to ww. altho if I call you stalker, everyone will know who I'm talking about, so i guess it'll be that. you pervert!! thanks for scaring away DQ's photos with your offensive arnold!! your new avatar is like one of those h0m0 body-builder bars. Did you hear about the body-builder that got a woody? neither did i, cuz it can't happen. so while you're busy rushing blood to all the wrong areas of the anatomy, I'll get the blood flowing elsewhere. bring back Kyler, bring back Kyler, c'mon you guys, help with the chant!! but the mohawk is old news, the recent one is way more Norman Rockwell.
waahhh, waaahh, I wanna new sled but I don't have the $$.... but we got new leather couches and a Lexus. does anyone see the inherent flaw here? couches=sled. I'm sure a nice Ford Pinto wagon would get your wife around just aswell. she's startin' to sound high maintenance. but i won't talk, cuz i have one ear longer than the other(from having it yanked so much..hey shouldn't something else be longer then?...never mind.
parachute pants and sheep door, LMFAO!! I'd like one too, was it hard to install?there's nothing wrong with sheep, they never say no, especially when backed up to a cliff, then they push back.
antonio, I know what you MEANT, I was responding to what you WROTE. and the irony is when you tried to insult me with my grade 3 education (hey, it's only grade 2, OKAY!!), you said ...."might of", when you shoulda said "might have".... but i'm here to insult you, not to be your english teacher.
ya guns...didn't you watch bowling for columbine? I think they said we have lotsa guns here per capita (more hunters I'd guess). but we don't do a lot of hunting with AK47s or ouzis. I can't understand how anyone can own those weapons, they're made to kill people and nothing more. handguns are a restricted weapon here and are almost illegal. you really found a raw nerve with me on the guns. Our Fed. gov't just wasted billions on a stupid gun registry which accomplishes nothing. criminals will always have guns, it just created a bureaucratic nightmare for regular folk. sorry, i'm getting political.
and there's a legendary 'riding' area in snake river. one heckuva jump tho. just ask evil kneivel. make sure ya gas it hard!!
stalker, how'd ya think they'd adhere tile to the wall? chewing gum? and what's with the "sheetrock"? Is that a US thing? we call it gyproc, because it's made from gypsum. that's why it's so expensive to dump the old stuff. I heard they barge it out to the ocean to be dumped cuz only saltwater will neutralize the gypsum. stalker, you're the chemist, so maybe you can clarify.
ahhh, the trailer. I forgot, I had 2 different 18' trailers, i sold the other one about 4 weeks ago. that was the one I pm'ed ya about antonio. this is a different one. I'm almost done tho.
stalker, they have different height ballmounts so you change the rise or drop of your tow angle ( I know you know this, it's for the benefit of others). so why do you need to change your height?
hey, while we're chanting for the return of Kyler's avatar, can we chant to get DQ's photos back? I never saw the pole pic, but the last time I saw a woman dancing and there was a pole, everyone was chanting, "shower! shower!" will that work??
Posted by: confusedbuyer
ever come to the realization that you think you're funny, but it turns out you're just really obnoxious and no one likes you? Naw, I haven't either!.... but I thot I may have scared ya all away with my scathing comments and caustic humor (except stalker, I know he only participates mon-fri, 9-5, unless the wife is in bed, then he sneaks into the sheep room and secrectly communicates with us, between woolly interludes).
but i did notice that stalker and DQ underwent a sudden and drastic change ( are you guys born again christians??). WHERE ARE THE PICS???? what happened? were you feeling threatened sharing so much with us? stalker, your home-base has changed a lot from Heber to 3 different places. should I be changing my identity? guess I'll join the witness relocation program with you guys!! BR>
trasher has a new name. he started this thread so we can call him god, or creator if god is too blasphamous for the Utah folks.
I figure if the oldest is Pa cartwright, then the youngest (powerstroke) should be Little Joe. or we could shorten him up to LJ. now that we're on the western theme, I've got it!! PP/stalker/ww.... you're a gym fanatic, big dude, but mostly cuz he's your nearest intellectual match... you got it... good 'ol Dan Blocker AKA= Hoss!! yep, hoss it'll be. I played hockey with a big dude who coincidentally had the same real first name. he would chortle and grunt when he was lining a guy up for a hit, and he hit like a freight train. we called him Hoss, so the name is just too perfect.
antonio doesn't seem to be sticking for Lt. Dan/rescue. and we're on a western theme here. dan is a moderator and has to keep us in line, kinda like the oldest brother, so I guess that makes him Adam, or Marshall Dillon... you guys chose. Marshall Dillon would be MD for short. B &R can stay skinner, but he's kinda the kooky sidekick, so we could call him Festus too... or Barney Fife.
me? the rifleman..naw. John Wayne for sheer coolness I guess img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif" border="0">. but JW is too close to jehovah witness. maybe rooster coburn, RB. I dunno, that's for you guys to decide.
Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior
Kooky sidekick? I guess Festus is somewhat ok in that the actor hailed from my hometown. There's actually a concrete (or some other hard, and heavy material, maybe confused scull) statue outside my bank.
Posted by: confusedbuyer
I'm getting tired of talking to myself.... i guess I'm a little psycho.
I just changed my pics cuz Hoss and DQ did. Ya think DQ could be Miss Kitty?this will be short(er). Hoss and MD were talkin 'bout mantles. unlike you lazy swines , I did mine about 3 years ago, so there are a couple of new pics I just posted.
basically, it started when i put up T&G knotty pine on all the walls in the basement rec room (going for that cozy country cottage look).man, that stuff sure ain't cheap and it's milled here, so i can't imagine what you guys would have to pay for it. the fireplace was old red brick with no hearth. I put up ledgestone around the old brick, poured a little concrete slab (forming it was fun), and then put a hearth down aswell. then I designed my own mantle by combining some ideas. I cut my own bottom mouldings out of 1x2 on my router table, and also routered the top piece of the mantle, all in the knotty pine. I thot the way I tied in the fireplace and ledgestone was quite clever with the pine crown moulding. I had ugly flourescent lights with the cheap plastic covers. I made my own pine box sunshine ceilings to go around them, with some mouldings. with a brad nailer, radial armsaw ( or mitre saw), and some imagination, it wasn't very hard. these pics don't do it justice IMHO. Of course, this was an all-testosterone theme and it was meant to be a Tim Allen type man's room..... but my wife still has to add her little knick-knacks.

I thot kooky sidekick would generate a response, and better yet, you came back at me with an even better slam. concrete=confused skull, LMAO!!. I have an inane, psychic-like knack for the nicknames, the type you're stuck with for life but hate..., and Festus just makes too much sense now. Hoss will still wanna call you skinner, but we'll convert him (Brigham Young did, so why can't we?). And with his new avatar, he better be careful we don't start calling him gurlymahn.

Wow, I have a few posts to read. But, I did notice that WW had a dream to look like the governatore also changed his family portraits and included us on his bio pageI feel so honoredBR>
Confused, nice work on the fireplace yourself. Also, like the roomI'll chat in a few, need to catch up on, maybe I should take a speed reading course. When Tommy, I mean Cartwright comes back, he'll be way behind. He is out on the road for 2 more days
Posted by: rescuediver
WW, did you re-join todayour photo page had only 20 hits on it. I would bet you had that many after you posted your wife(should I say thatdon't want to scare off any female lurking behind the keyboardsin front of the fireplaceBR>Looks like you, dancingqueen and Chick Magnet all caught the picture bug today. I like it. I'll probably post some new ones at the end of the monthBR>
Confused, looks like you had some free time tonightYou do have a knack for coming up with nicknames. The sad part about some of your names is, I know people that have the same nicknames as those your passing outhat's alright though. I like those peopleso it doesn't send me off the deep end to where I need counseling or anythingBR>I hear you about the ak47's and uzis. They were made for a specific purpose, but, for some stupid reason, people feel that are ligitimate weapons for huntersog wash, they were meant to spray a lot of rounds in short burst, in time of war. But, I guess in LA, it's a war zone sometimes tooBR>
Speaking about lowering a trailer, my buddy just spent $150 U.S. dollars for you canuckleheadsOn a billet trailer ball hitch. It has a 2" and 2 5/16" ball on it. It's pretty sweet. I'm looking at the three ball system, 17/8", 2" and 2 5/16", they go for $180. U.S.
Pretty sweet looking

Marshall Dillion, I like thatI wish I was born in the 1800's. Some people wish for the swinging 50's or dope headed 60's. I would of wanted to be around in the mid 1800's. I think it would of been coolto be out on the range, 6 shooter attached to my hip, riding my trusted stallion, protecting the roaming sheep and damsels in distress from skinner and PPI love that time period. You guys remember Petty Coat Junctions? That seen with the gals in the water tower, it was actually filmed, in my county, out in the middle of nowhere
Well, just saw some of my hunting buddies leaving for Oregon. I'm going to head up there for a few days along the Snake River while I'm bacheloring it for 10 days. Guess I can't get into much trouble up there. Of course, I might hit a brothel or twowhile going through Reno and Winnemucca, NevadaDidn't the Mustang Ranch close? Cartwright might know that oneBR>
Posted by: rescuediver
Now I feel like Chick Magnet, talking to myself in the middle of the night. Everyone tucked in nice and tight, so the bed bugs don't bite. In reality, I am making this internet world a little safer for my Forda Beta Kappa familyLater, Marshall Dillion
Posted by: confusedbuyer
billet, as in a tricked-up looking ballmount?? I think I know the plain one yer talkn bout, it has 3 different balls, all on the same ballmount, you just rotate it for the correct ball. but a plain one is only like $50 (Cdn). I'm all for outlandish accessories (look at my truck pics, I even have stainless chains and insert tubes for my quad deck/camper tie downs), but a fancy ballmount just doesn't seem to make sense. no one will see it, unless the trailer is off.... then they'll try to steal it!! that's one item that I think of as more practical than fancy.
freetime.. i was watching my football team and posting earlier. now it's just a case of WAY too much caffiene. too many cokes today. Hoss wouldn't know, he's a BYU alumni, and they don't consume caffiene. altho maybe caffiene would stop Kyler's fire-fighting techniques, as he'd be too jacked up, just like the time Bart snuck sugar (pixie sticks) to the Flanders kids. Bart... that might work for me, cuz i feel mischievious like him when I hammer on everyone. I bet Hoss is a bud's nickname already, but Festus, Pa, Lillte Joe, Miss Kitty and Marshall Dillon?? your not like one of those freaks that dress up like Star Trek characters and goes to big rallies, and then speaks Klingon are ya? (except substitute Star Trek for a TV western theme). and when you guys are doin surviellance or a big sting, these nicknames don't count as earned, they're just assigned.
Posted by: rescuediver
Chick Magnet, you are so wrongBillet is swweeettttt looking and very practical. They are rated to 10,000 lbs, can be adjusted to basically any tongue heigth, for someone like me, I tow all three of the ball sizesnd I don't remove the hitch between tows. If some jacka$$, tailgating, cell yapping, mocha sipping idiot rear ends me, they will need a new front end. Because the hitch on my truck will need to be surgically removed from their engine compartmentby a 2 sloth looking tow truck driverimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
Posted by: rescuediver
I hear you on the caffiene, I need to cut back tooho were you watching today? And is it American football or the arena style?
Right now, I think if Hoss gave jr. some coffee, he would make a killing helping to put out the wild fires in the great state of Caleforneahe kid would never have his pants onBR>I do dress up, but only a few people see me in those "uniforms"ctually, I've worn a uniform for nearly 23 of my older 38 years. So, if I can, I stay away from uniforms was never really into StarTrek, but, I do like the new Planet of the Apes movie. Really didn't care for it as a kid. I've found my taste have changed as I get older. Hhmmm, don't know if that's good or badBR>And names while on surveilance, it depends on what we are doing. Sometimes we give ourselves names, other times it's our call signs. Well, time for bed. Talk to you later. Lt. Dan aka; MD, Marshall Dillion, Antonio and a few others that would get deleted

c'mon man... it's CFL, Canadian Football. field is 150 yards long (110 playing field, 20 yard end zones). also 20 yards wider, and only 3 downs. all adds up to way more passing. lots of your old college stars end up here, plus we breed lots of future NFL'ers ( Warren Moon, Doug Flutie, Jeff Garcea, Rocket Ishmail, Mike Vanderjagt, this year on NYJ Ricky Ray will probably be their starting QB). There are lots of others, but not huge superstars.
i guess i need to see this billet thing. got a link to it? are they made up here in the great, frozen tundra?

Confused, I must of been up wwaaaayyyyyyy to late to not remember the CFL. DUHGuess, with the heat we are havingI didn't correlate it to football season at all. and it's right around the corner here.
The hitches are made out of a solid piece of metal and then milled down to size. It really is a work of art. If your into that kind of thingI'll try and find a websight for them. I know one maker is out of WW's home state. I'll surf a bit and hopefully find it.

Hey, it's been a busy day. I rebuilt a back porch, and let me tell ya; scope creep. Why is it that things take twice as long to do as planned? I think my ears, back, and neck are burned from that giant firery thing in the sky.
Why the "My Page and icon" change? I don't know? I thought it was time for a change. However, I see the request for the last of the Moheekens (sp?), so I guess it will be back on Monday. I did however, spotlight some of you (I know, you ALL feel honored), and today, I posted a couple of pics that I took today (a non-approved one of my better half). Not bad for having 3-kids.
Confused, I like the new nicknames; I however, am not as big as Hoss, but I could probably fit into his 10-gallon hat. I agree that B&R should keep the name Skinner. What do you think...skinner? I also like the pics of your house (nice job).BR>
I think I have an idea why Miss Kitty removed her pics (thanks to Heywood and Semo), but I hope they are back soon. Please Miss Kitty, pretty please bring back the pics.... Marshall Dillon knows what I'm talking about.
Well, I better get to sleep...I have a few people to brainwash tomorrow.
Posted by: rescuediver
Hoss, Nice, they keep getting betterLike they were ever badBR>
Yes, I was thinking the same thing on why Miss Kitty, removed her picturesut, I'm hoping we are wrong.
Big head? Youimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> I would of never knownYou just might need a 20 gallon cowboy hatMaybe Cartwright can stop by the Bonanza Ranch and get you an Authentic "Hoss" HATBR>
And yes, I do feel honored to be on your bio pagehat a motley group though, the Ford Betta KappaBR>
Who do you plan on brainwashing? the kids to finish the stainingor are you surfing the net looking for more "victims" for you perverted ways
Posted by: confusedbuyer
"scope creep"??, I'm lost.
MD, i think Hoss is referring to doing the brainwashing at the closest outlet of the Mormon Tabernacle choir training facility. and the ball mount is cool lookin'. but mine is a 2' long solid chunk of steel to allow me clearance so my quad deck doesn't hit the trailer.
skinner seemed to like being the kooky sidekick festus, but I'm sleazy, i mean easy... so I'll go with whatever. skinner does fit your previous profile/slam much better.reverting back to your stalker namesake, go to the Yamaha forum. look at my post, or do a search, " '89 Breeze.." . A young stalker in training has posted a most interesting link that will surely send you to the wooly room.
that rotten trailer!! now i see why guys buy whole new plates for the brakes, instead of replacing magnets or shoes. spent ANOTHER wasted day on it, and will start another tomorrow.
I just spent several hours prepping Sockeye salmon for freezer. $12 each for 8 lb salmon that's the best you'll ever taste. much better than Spring, IMHO. but man, do I smell fishy for all the wrong reasons.
okay, i launched some of my best material, and you guys come back with kind, sensitive goop. I quit. I'm just gonna be nice from now on.
Posted by: rescuediver
Yea, the hitch is pretty sweet, I can't believe aluminum can hold upto 10,000 lbs. But, hey I'll bite
Some of your bestI think you have done betterBut hey, don't stop now, you are on a roll, You nailed the names down pretty darn goodHeck, I was just channel surfing and saw, Little Joe, Hoss and Pa on t.v. Can't get away from FBkAnd I definately like skinner the best for B&RBR>
Still working on that darn trailert sounded like you were almost finished with itas it not working again or locking up?Not that I can help, just curious, nature of the beastBR>
MMM, salmon, sound good, that's a heck of a price. We just paid like $4 a lb(I think)but, it does taste great. MY step dad can sure smoke ity mouth is starting to water. And it's also for the wrong reasonsBR>
Anymore info on the trip to Oregon in March?
Posted by: confusedbuyer
it'll be spring break for March/Oregon trip. i will check when it is for us.
I was trouble shooting the brakes by running jumper wire from a battery, to each brake. the lever arm that the magnet moves seemed seized. i thot i had them freed up. guess not. I soldered all the wires and shrink-tubed them, then this. Aaaarrggh!! pretty sure it's a mechanical problem, and not electrical. then I go to Home Depot to get 1 lousy 2x8 for the deck; they don't carry 18' lumber. Aaarrgh! guess I'll completely disassemble brakes and clean arms properly to get them working. 3 of 4 don't work. cost
