I thought it was a cheap driver issue (Adams Redline RPM Ti) but the guy at the range said that he sees Calloways, Taylormade, etc all break every week. Man, spend 300+ for a driver and it can't handle a duffer like me

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

Well my buddy bought his first Real truck yesterday. i drove it for a while today. 2005 F350 supercab shorty 4x4 6.0 XLT i thought he got a pretty good deal. he had to drop 32700 to pick it up brand new. them 6.0's sure feel allot differnt than the 7.3 the trannys also shift quite nice. He wouldnt let me power brake it. lol i started to and he was all wooooaaaahh woaah woaaah what you doin. the change to coils in the front sure made the front end not so stiff over bumps.

Posted by: Trasher

I just started this crazy sport. It's kinda weird how you get all wrapped into golf. never thought I would

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

yeah. doin away with the leafs seems to make the front a lil easier on ya. i dunno if that has to do with the motor bein lighter as well or what. Hell if creator got a new 6.0 he's have to change the thread name to Ford Diesels

Posted by: Trasher

Creator ain't buying no new 6.0 Just came up with enough money to pay the tax manBR>

We have a old guy vs. young guy tourneywhile we are there for hunting seasonAnyways, we are tied at the 18th hole, have tons of people watching from the club houseAll the ones that we allowed to play throughWell, I was up and had to put down about a 15 foot puttimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> I nailed it and we youngstersGot our drinks paid forby the old guys

Speaking of golf?? Wasn't that a he!! of a shotTiger made at Augustathat ball stopped for a full 2 secondsbefore it fell in that hole

I'm sure we will see it a lot moreI don't know if, we'll ever see another shot like that, in our life time

Posted by: confusedbuyer

ya, ya, blah, blah, it was a great RESULT, but there are shots like that every week..... just not with a Major championship on the line. and that didn't win the tourney, his putt on the play-off hole won it. guess i'm hearing too much about it.

sorry to hear you've been afflicted with the golf bug creator. i can shoot in the 80's on a good round, and just over 100 on a horrible day. usuallly low to mid 90's. BUT no matter how well i play, i always leave thinking..."what if i'd made this shot, and that shot... I coulda shot.. X... It just seems i'm never happy, no matter what. well, learn to just enjoy it. i should, but after shooting a 10 on a hole, i just can't help but to snap the head off my putter or toss my club as far as i can. AAaaaaaarrrgggghhh!

i can really hit some great irons, but my driving stinks, and my chipping is worse. my putting is average.

Posted by: Trasher

I really came into the sport to spend more time with my older boys and I swore I wouldn't get too wild about it but it's hard not to try to improve at your game and be hard on yourself when things don't go as planned.

Man, that's all the lower you can shoot? I do that now and I'm just startin out

(You are talking about the front 9 aren't you?)

Posted by: confusedbuyer

ya creator, the string of swear words i can put together on a golf course.... BUT, do yourself a favor and play strict to the rules when scoring, otherwise you never know when you've improved. I constantly see guys do things like hit out of bounds, walk up to where the ball went out, and play another ball from there and maybe add one penalty stroke. it's actually SUPPOSED to be replayed form where ya hit the first one, with a one-stroke penalty added. If you really thot it was still in play, then add 2-strokes and play from where you think it went out. Hazards are different, you re-hit from the point of entry, and add one stroke. Or foot-wedges around trees, or taking mulligans for a bad shot, or long gimmees on the green. I used to do that stuff, but could never get a read on whether i was getting better or not. AND, when you play in any kind of tourney, EVERY stroke is counted, and every rule is applied.

because it's so wet here, we usually play "winter rules" meaning you can lift and clean your ball, and move it 6" (out of a divot) UNLESS your in a hazard, or behind a tree....both of which you can't do in regular golf. BUT, they also play perfectly groomed courses where this rarely happens.

Posted by: confusedbuyer

thing is, ignore your score, and enjoy the good weather, long walk, and the few great shots you'll hit. cuz everyone hits some great shots in a round, whether it's a chip or a putt, or whatever. my best drive is usually the one out of the parking lot!!

LMAO, I'm with you on that oneBR>
If I hit a 80-85I'm playing like crap on the front nineThe course is luckyif, my green fees payfor my divitsBR>

The only golf I play involves windmills, loops, and lots of concrete and all weather carpet....

Don't use your driver. Might break a couple of video games or car windshields

I golfed and caddied a bit in highschool. I just never really found it that much fun. Maybe if i could shred the course on my raptor or sompin that would be fun

I played a bit for about 5 years to spend time with my dad at the end of his life. Never liked it much either.

About 15 years ago they were closing a golf course in Concord ca. to make room for some condos. A m/c club was going to put on a hare scrambles/marathon kind of race right before the buldozers tore it up. I was so excited I went out and bought fresh rubber for both ends of my CR500. Just the thought of it was making me hyperventilate. The race was going to be that coming up saturday. On wednesday they had to calll it off. A bunch of influencial golfers found out about the race and went crazy, threatened to sue the city and every one involved. Why they were ok with buldozers destroying it was beyond me. They had to canceled it. I was bummed big time and still get sad thinking about it. That would have been so SWEEEEEEET!!!

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

mWQ, it was probably the thought of people having fun on a golf course. BR>
On a seperate thing...I'm so tweaked at my dealer. The did work w/o permission. Rear brake pads on the Warrior. I mearely wanted them to adjust the parking brake. They knocked off $14 off the labor, and I paid. FAXed em a letter wanting the rest of the labor refunded. Hopefully they agree, otherwise I think it's off to BAR I go (and wanting it ALL back.) They've always been so good too. That's what peaves me sooo much.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

They are sending me a check for the rest of the labor ($21). I needed new pads anyways. I would have felt guilty for shafting them for the pads. They called back a few minutes after I sent the letter when I got the correct FAX number. Legally, I could have gotten the money back completely.

Hopefully they didn't screw up my new UNI filter. I've used No-Toil on it so far. Who knows what they put on it.

Last week in AZ I saw a 88 Chevy 4X4 lifted w/ about a 12" lift running 20's and street tiresThe rims had a negitive offset so they were tucked under the thing. Really looked like a big waste of money. The wh. trash driving it thought he was pretty cool though

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

Hmm I find way lifted trucks (more than 4") to be stupid. They aren't worth a crap for towing much (too unstable) and about worthless off-road because they are so damn top heavy. I don't call cruising to Comp Hill at Pismo to be off-roading.

I crack up watching highly lifted trucks. Next time, check out the distance between the tire and the wheel well. You will notice that it never changesGreat travel and smooth ride..........................not

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

The thing is, you only gain 1/2 of the larger tire diameter anyways. The highest thing you can go over is either where your diff. is, or some other spot on the axle (AND you have someone spotting you or you know EXACTLY where the diff is.)

I have this eery feeling the day is going to go by REALLY REALLY slowly....

LMAO. Big Jacked up trucks = SPC or WMOP (Small Penis Complex or Want My Own Penis)

They is totally pointless. even like rock crawler rigs and chit aind jacked to the moon. they just cut the fenders and chit. i know allotta jeep guys that go places crazy enough to make tou bunch cheeks rip the vinyl. they aint got huge lifts and crap. Just dont get it. its all a look at me thing.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

And then the a**hats pull up right on you at night at a stop light. With my Daewoo...the lights were OVER the car and not a problem. But with the truck it's like looking at the sun through binoculars.

Posted by: OneFlyCowboy

Im one of them guys you hate in your daewoo. My headlights are adjusted for optimal brightnes in driverside mirror and rearview on compact cars i get flipped off allot but if they dont like the lights they can get out the way. I wouldnt be on they ass if they wasnt goin speedlimit or less in the left lane. if they goin 65 - 70 i wont foller so close. 75 i keep a nice distance and let that sucker get the ticket

After the 4" lift on my truck, we had the lights lowered. With the truck pulling a trailer, I knew I was blinding driver's in front of me. Especially when you see them switch the rear view mirror to the dark settingBR>
My brohter just took his jeep to the shop to get a bunch of "gadgets" put on it. I'm listening to him talk, but what he is saying, is "I'm a newby, don't know what I want, tell me what is best for my jeeep"I'm sure the salesman is thinking "KACHING, KACHING as the wallet is opened up I know all I saw wwas dollar signs being spentBrother is putting a Warn integrated X9000 winch on, bumper, back rack and whatever else. So far, that jeep has only seen dirthen I was driving itwhile taking him huntingI guess, I'll talk him into the Rubican with my other brother chasing him in his jeep. I should post pics for LJBR>
Anyways, we did see a Dodge with about a 12 inch lift, dual shocks all the way around (Fox I think) and stock tiresWonder if he took off the meats, because of fuel mileage

WTF look in your mirrors people. Curtesy. Im in a hurry to get things done.... My truck will do 0-60 in 14.2 LMAO i just modifyin a song ;i have no clue on the truck. It goes X.

That totally pisses me off to. Of course I would never exceed the maximum speed limit on the roads in ca. Unless of course My wife lets me drive her STS.

All we ask for, is a chance for a photo opportunity on the "rock"

Posted by: powerstroke01

Meh, Weve only got about 9 acres up here. But have access to another ~400 behind ours which is where that photo was taken. The owners dont care what the property is used for as long as its not illegal or doesnt destroy it. I go ridin everyother day back there. And have some pretty sweet trails made.

And only a 10 minute ride to the Fire Roads and another 20 from there to Miami.. But tire wear is why i dont ride from the house, its 2 miles of pavement.. BR>
It gets boring after awhile though. Its like ridin pismo for an hour. After that hour youve seen it all. LOL

Well, I've never gotten flashed so it isn't all that great. I too find it boring. I don't have a sand bike (i.e. high HP). It pegs out at 45. I was pushing 55 on the pre-run today coming down the road on the way back. Then it turned all bumpy with pot holes and what not. Got out of it quick like.

No injuries! Woohoo! Except this manzanita bush...last year it ate a Blaster...this year it wanted a thumper I guess (400ex). LOL They had a GPS in their backpack...you should see the crash. A squiggly line.

Besides being able to camp on the beach and riding my CR500R wide open, Cant do that anywhere else.

I enjoy going to the water crossing at high tide and seeing 2wd high dollar suv's with waer pouring in/out of them. Also can find those geniuses down the beach buried with waves crashing against them. Not to mention just watching people driving on the beach in front of where we camp. Never been flashed by anyone. Thought that was glamis.
One time about 20 yrs ago a lady in a mid 70s dodge gets stuck near the water crossing and waves are hitting it. There is about 6 guys in 4x4s watching. No one moves. Lady jumps out wearing next to nothing, flimsy falling off top, thong like shorts. She was built for the out fit too. I thought 4 guys were going to go to blows over who would get to save her. 5th guy hooks up to the car and drags it to safety, she seemed very appreciative. Could go on for ever with stories from there. Damm enertaining for a people watcher like my self. My mom has been going with us for the last 5 julys and really looks forward to it. Says she has never seen any place like it.

Thanks for the dbeck answer.

Are you going to be up at miami this sat? I am mainly in search of more single track to test my new radiator guards on.But dont think that will take all day and would love to see more of the area from a experts point of view.
Sent the radiator out last monday, they fixed all 13 leaks and straightened it for $75.00, shipping total was $19.00. I got it back on Friday. A new one from KTM is $200.00, and if it isnt in stock can take 8-12 weeks to get from austria.
And people complain about chinese parts taking a month.

sounds like LJ had more snow than us. we got one snow fall of a few measly inches (sorry, i betcha hear that all the time at the alley eh ofc?), and it lasted maybe 2 days before rain washed it away. and Seattle just missed it. it was around the time we came down to watch the chickenHawks lose to the Rams. we had lotsa snow that day, and in Bellingham,WA too. but Seattle is too tropical for snow... must be all those turd-punchers drinking their pink-umbrela drinks. so we basically get 2 seasons; rain and overcast.

hec ya ofc, c'mon up fer a weekend of riding.yer comment about the bush reminds me of the old joke about the guy who moves to the country and a neighbor invites him to a party. He says what kinda party? local says, "there'll be a little drinkin', a little fightin, and a little boinkin'".New guy says, "what should I wear?", and local says, "don't matter, it's only gonna be you and me!"

hey, we're going to Stanwood to golf at Kyack on May 27. granny live close to there? is that Memorial day weekend for you guys?

Heres a quote from another board that im on from an ex master tech. Just thought it was interesting..

Quote

Nothing short of physically hitting it with something, or hitting something with it should damage it. (other than wearing out tires, brakes, warping rotors) You should be able to take any car on the lot and hold it at WOT until it runs out of gas and not cause any engine damage.

One of the running performace diagnostic tests on a powerstroke diesel is called a oil aereation test. The PCED (powertrain control and emmoisions diagnosis) manual tells you to monitor the ICP (injection control pressure) on a scan tool while you hold the engine at wide open throttle (sitting still in park) for a period of 180 seconds (3 minutes). Image the hell a bystander would think that a tech was giving it if he happened to causually witness that. I used to get a lot of funny looks from customers.

Posted by: Trasher

too funny

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

Imaging an enviro-nazi Sierra Club member standing outside the service bay considering how much some of the chipped diesels smoke sometimes.....

That would be quite a racket to hear I bet. I know I'd look at the tech and ask him WTF he was doing to my truck.

My Daewoo used to be governed to 3500RPM when in park. I didn't know until my cousin's husband (Saturn tech.) told me about the governers on AT cars in park. So, of course, I had to try it out. And yup, as the tach hit 3500 the motor started cutting out. But considering I'm not sure the 7.3s are even rated to rev that high...

Posted by: Trasher

Funny but true story: Years ago I was turning wrenches at a dealership and I was the only one that worked on the world famous GM 5.7 oil burner. I had one that had a rough idle issue. I tried everything to fix this pig. I rebuilt the injection pump twice, tested the injectors, matched them with pressure and spray patterns, timed it , replaced this or that as per the factory rep and nothing helped it. This was over the course of a couple of weeks.

One day I have had enough of this fun and decided to blow that sucker up!Took it on the freeway and locked it in a lower gear and drive the Cr@p out of it for miles, revving it to the moon (or governor). On the streets I keep it in 1st and did the same thing.

One block before turning into the service area, I came up to a stop sign and noticed it was running smoothly. I drive to around some more (normally this time) and sure enough to was idling great!BR>
The service manager came back and was commmenting how great it was running and wanted to know what I did to fix it. I told him I tried to blow it upbut he kept on asking me what I didHe never believed me when I told him that's what I did.BR>

Posted by: Trasher

That reminds me of another story:

That fine engine also had a minor problem in '82. The throttle inside the injector pump would stick wide open

Had one that the tow truck dropped behind my stall. I when inside and fired it up to see what's up wit it. That engine when full throttle and stayed there. Turned it off and pulled the keys and it still kept running.

I had to run about 20 yards top get some pliers, raise the hood and pinch off the fuel return line to make it stop. I couldn't believe that thing didn't blow up. It was really singin

Posted by: confusedbuyer

refinshing???? what are they , wood? raised panel, or flat panels? that sounds like a horrible job. i actually bought a bunch of oak to make my own raised panel doors (got a good deal on some used lumber). i was gonna reface the cabinets. but that ain't gonna happen now. we're trying to finish our 8 year reno job, and it's pretty much down to one bathroom that needs gutting. might also re-stain the cedar deck, and side of my shop. i'd say that's 2-3 more weekends. then my wife wants to move like there's no tomorrow. i guess living across the street from her parents will do that to ya. and we want acreage in a huge way, so we can ride everyday. anyways, our kitchen will stay the original ugly yelllow lino and dark, fake oak cabinets. those are about the only 2 originals in our whole house, all 3400 sq. ft.

Here's a question that's on the PSD subjectBR>
While I sit waiting, usually for my girlsI shut down the PSD and then , turn the key to the on position, not the auxiliary position. To listen to the radio, talk to another person, drive thru window, etc, etc. This could be for a couple minutes to 30 minutes+++. Now, does this shorten the glow plug life? The light on the dash does go out. However much I love the PSDI really know very littleabout the internal workings of it

Posted by: confusedbuyer

why not turn the key BACKWARDS to the aux. position???? i always thot what yer doing is hard on any veh.

MWQ, i thot 6061 was top grade alum. guess 7075 is stronger?? it looks to be the same design as the old one, but new one is much stronger (?). good job of fabricating. ya shoulda got MD to help ya out, he coulda dug out some of that battleship iron he used to build his winch mount!not even an IBM will penetrate that. granted, a tad heavy.

creator, HTF do you re-finish a raised panel with the profiles on the panel, plus the profiles on the rails and stiles??? ya need a dremel tool to get all the tough spots. YUCK!! i just can't see how you'd fully strip the old finish.... in which case, why start, cuz it'll never be perfect, only different. i like yer replacement idea better!

tiling over plywood is fine, but my uneven cement floors have been a real treatimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Because I like going FORWARD not BACKWARDSWhat's your reasoning for being hard an a vehicle??? I mean, I am a OLD DOGBut, I can be taught new tricksBR>

But, plywood flexes and that leads to cracking grout and tilenot that you really careyour selling the house

Posted by: confusedbuyer

ya know, it could be one of those urban myths MD, but i thot leaving ign. on is hard on something, that's why they have AUX setting. I think it's the alternator that it's tough on. c'mon creator, jump in here, yer the resident mechanic! but yer making the vehicle think it's in the run position, so everything is on, instead of just drawing the power you need from the battery.

ya, i guess plywood will flex if ya cheap out and use 1/4". concrete flexes too! (in an earthquake).

6061 is probubly the most common aluminum made. It is every where, 6061 is butter compared to 7075. on paper 7075 compares to 4140 chrome moly steel, but much lighter. And very strong. Also costs about 3X as much as 6061. The old guards were made out of 3/32"(.093) thick stock and so soft, I believe it was either 5052 or annealed 6061. Very, very soft. The new ones are 1/4" (.250) stock and milled down in the center to 1/8 (.125) with a 1/4" wall around the outside to add even more strength. The origional was also formed and punched out of 1 piece of stock and the new ones are made from 4 pieces of stock and bolted together with 8 Stainless steel 8-32 socket head cap screws. The new ones took about 12 -15 hrs to design/machine.

Urban myth?? No.. In the good 'ol days vehicles had ignition points (remember them?) It was not a good idea to leave the ignition switch to the "on" position because the points would arc back and forth and do unwanted damage to the contacts.

Now, you will be activating the glow plug controller which turns on your glow plugs but after just a couple of seconds (because it's warm- you just drove it remember) the controller will turn them off. All that will happen is they will cycle another time unnecessarily causing wear to the tips. Sometimes if your diesel starts hard when cold, you will find that some of the tips of the glow plugs have broken off. Can you guess where they go?BR>
Bottom line- turn it backwards to the accessory position which was meant just for this use. You also could move the power wire from the radio to a hot lead that is always on but you would have to turn off the radio every time you stop which could be more of a pain than what's it's worth.

I used to love leaving a "charged" ignition condensor on the parts counter. No one can resist playing with it while it's sitting there until it shocks the cr@p out of 'emimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I can't remember where it was, might have been on an email list (ridig group) but someone wanted to make a 6-pack rack from stainless. LOL. That would have been pretty light...NOT. Plus that stuff is just too damn tough. You'd bend your frame before it let go.

Actually stainless is pretty soft unless it is heat treated. It will bend way before my favorite aluminum will and is probubly 3X as heavy. Its biggest benefit is wont rust/corrode, even if left on the bottom of the ocean a while. And is not porous at all. It wont hold on to any germs, why it is used for medical items, knives, etc....

I definitely understand that. It is my newest favorite place to ride.

i've found s/s brittle, and easy to snap off screw heads.

A BBQ is a great application for stainless steel.

When I was in hs and going into the speed shop making my mustang faster. I still have that car by the way. there was a sign on the cash register that said. "Speed costs, How fast did you say you wanted to go?" Not much has changed in my life since then. Well except for the days without, records.

I wont be approaching OFC with any SS instruments, thank you. LOL Machining is what I do for a living, I have to be very good at it. Pays the bills and I need to be more valuable than the next guy. Sorry if I am sounding like OFC, but I really am very good at what I do. 7075 may be 3% heavier than 6061 but it is easily 15X stronger.

It is because SS is so soft that it breaks so easily. It isnt because it is so hard/brittle.

Yes aluminum is extremely light for its size.

Posted by: BlackandRedWarrior

Ahh stainless appliances. I love em. Just beautiful. Just gotta watch salt with stainless. It's about the ONLY thing that will screw it up. Growing up we had this big SS mixing bowl that ended up as the "popcorn bowl." My dad made popcorn constantly. It got to the point after I stopped living with him I don't think I ate popcorn for a year. Anyways. He put so much salt that it ended up eating little tiny holes in the bottom of the bowl. It wasn't useful for baking because liquids would come through the holes in the bottom of the bowl.

That's why if you buy SS cookware (pots and pans) it says that if you put salt in water to boil, always bring the water to a boil FIRST, then put the salt in.

Ahh...another day at work.

I didn't mention this the other day but some a&& hat came in over the weekend and stole probably $300 worth of scrap and new copper wire. They didn't bother with anything smaller than #6 (the was still some in the tub). They took 4/0, 250 kcmil, 350 kcmil and 500 kcmil. 500 is about 1" in diameter and a foot weighs almost 1lb. They even took some stuff right off the shelf! This isn't the kinda wire you use on a side job wiring a ceiling fan. This is big stuff. 4/0 (four ought) is good for 200 AMPS. Copper at last check was about $1.15 at the recycle yard.

B&RW, I didn't know that about SSThanks for the infoBR>
I agree with CreatorSounds like some scrote came in to steal it for quick cash. Call the recycling centers and warn them to be on the look out for large amounts of copper. What they do here is burn all the plastic off, then take it to the recycling center.

There was an old pallet business that closed. Within a month of the closing, the aluminum siding had been torn offI'm sure it made it's way to the recycling yard.

The warehouse guy was supposed to be calling the recycle centers. But hell, there's probably 30 in Fresno that take scrape. And with the prices of copper right now, they'll probably take it quick. Hopefully they'll sniff some of that smoke. It's increadibly toxic. LOL.

You should see phone wiring. Uses PVC as a jacket (unless it's plenum rated.) Puts out nasty stuff. Plus, if you ever handle it (like pull it out) it's actually toxic waste. See the grey stuff on your hands? LEAD. Yes LEAD. They use it as a stabilizer for the PVC.

Under the new NEC we are actually supposed to pull all the old Class 2 wiring out of a facility unless it's marked for future use. You should see the Macy's in Fresno. HOLY COW! There's about 3 generations of network cabling up there. Not including what's being used now.

I yanked (well, I should say I directed) all of the old 25pr CAT3 telephone cable taken out of our suite when we bought it. The phone guy (PacHell/SBC) saw the pile of it out in the warehouse floor and thought I was stupid. Let's see...we only need 2 pair for the phone system and FastEthernet doesn't work over CAT3 (well, CAT3 isn't rated for it anyways). So we were already pulling in a CAT5e cable down the conduit...to the desktops.

Anyways.....

Yep, and probably dirt. Most companies doing removal (I've only seen one mention the lead aspect) don't even know.

I'm so used to people screwing my name up it's not a big deal. Plus I've been called many things. Though my mom never got the irony of calling me a b@st@rd or a SOB.

I just realized, I'm gonna be busy just about every weekend in May:

  • This weekend (hey, Sunday is May 1) doing the Poker Run thing.
  • Next weekend I'm going to Chico and then Sac to see friends.
  • Weekend after that is the Access for All Expo in Tulare. I missed last years. I want to go this year. I think a buddy is going to be their as a vendor (MD met him...big guy on the YFZ).
  • Then Pismo the weekend before Memorial Weekend.
  • Memorial weekend is still up in the air. Might be heading down to Visalia to put flowers on family graves down there. We'll run over to Hanford for milkshakes if we go though. If anyone is ever down there...have to check out Superior Dairy. Down across from the courthouse.

LJ...WTF?? ya bought a fine French-Canadian manufactured piece of equipment, and it seems to always be in the shop? they make a lot of Maple Syrup and Pountine in Quebec.... look for signs of that spilled over from the manufacturing process. Oh yeah, and they all smoke like chimneys in Quebec, when they're not whining and threatening to separate from the rest of Canada.

hey Predator vs. Sheep herding the flock!! you see the irony of your reply? okay, perverts place themselves in positions of trust where they'll be exposed to the objects of their perversion. that's why so many school teachers and priests end up being caught molesting kids. they place themselves there cuz that's what they crave. (that's NOT to say ALL teachers and priests are perverts). SO you liken yourself to a sheep herder. Hmmm, there'd be a lotta scared and sore sheep in that flock. Ya, well i bet Hoss is living that fantasy right now.

i didn't realize SS was soft MWQ. but i do know there are varying grades, depending on the nickel content. cheap stuff will rust if scratched. Hey, speakin of Stainless, my PSD is loaded with it! SS running boards, wheel trims, grill, grab handles....

dunno, that's the wife's job!! i guess like MWQ says, it's soft stuff, cuz i do notice it scratches, or shows scratches. i have the box rail caps in s/s and they're really scratched up. one even started to show some rust. it must wax up good doesn't it??

Not in my householdAnd, she knows better then to touch my truckI haven't had any luckwith keeping my SS shining. That must be why I like the brush lookI did see some liquid polishing stuff at Lowes today for bringing back the shine to SS, aluminum, etc. Might give it a try.

That I don't doubtThe Central Valley was just rated one of the worst places in the U.S.

But, you know what, it's all a joke. They cry about air quality, However, they continue to rip out acres and acres of treesonly to replace them with asphalt and concrete to park 2,3 or more carsThey also cry about not enough water in Ca. but, they allow more growthIt's a political ploy

Yep with MD there. San Joaquin Valley is the 2nd worst air basin in the US next to LA.

You should see the growth in Fresno. Holy COW! Had to run a tool earlier to a job site at a gold course. All the grape vineyards...GONE. Its' all graded for housing. blech. It's insane. Though we've jacked up the San Joaquin River is trashed. 60 miles of it is dried up. nothing. But the water goes to farming. The fight is on right now as the old water contracts are expiring.

With all the studies that these "so call" scientist do, why don't they do a study on how much crap ISN'T removed from the airbecause we just tore out 100 acres of treesto put in new homes. How, but they argue "Every home will have a tree palnted in the front yard" to off-set the pollution. What a jokeThat tree is to help the city get a TREE USA sign. Who Hoo...Yippee Ei Ahhhh

As far as water goes. It get's me all these tree huggers that want to drain the Hetch Hetchy reservoir (located in Yosemite). This has been in existence since, what the 1920's or so. So,Break down the dam, and let the water run wild again. Ok, fine and dandyBUT, now where does the 2 million peoplethat have relied on it, for almost 100 years get their water from????

Right now, there are 3 water companies complaining the other, is using to much waterThey all get water from the same region in the mountains.
