After you break a home made ramp, and pay to repair the quad, buy a bi- or tri-fold set. As far as the ramp champ, remember that when loading your $$$$ into the truck, its nice to be driving on a wide, comfortable, secure platform. Aluminum ramps are as cheap or cheaper than the set you refer to.

just get some of those folding aluminum ramps (1500 lbs capacity)
You will eventually bust your ars with those darn 2x ramps
They make great camp ladders too.
I have literally seen many people almost kill themselves load a quad in a truck.
$99-149 is worth it to me (depending on where you buy em)

yep we got the same ones ,,,just two different versions
I also set mine up against the wall in our enclosed trailer (with a heater)(once we get to camp) and use it as a laundry rack to dry wet riding gear.

I built my own ramps. Just go to home depot and buy some "Ramp Endz" Then buy a couple 2x12 boards, bolt them together and youve got a nice pair of ramps. The great thing about it is if you ever break one you can replace it for 5 bucks by just buying a new board. They only cost me 30 bucks to make and i got to make them as long as I want.

it weighs about 350. Maybe a little more.
These ramps are strong. If you go the board section and look at the 2x12's then you will see what i mean. You shouldnt have any problem using them.

Anyone using the Highland RampChamps?
Thinking of getting a pair. Can't decide on what i want..
Any advice would be appreciated!

For a temporary ramp I did what stevendsm95gst did but I used 2x8's that were pressure treated. Damn things cost me $10 a piece plus the $29 for the ramp ends. It worked for me for a week while I was waiting for the ramp from Discount Ramps. The wood ramps are just to skinny for my specific application and the potential for failure spooks me! The ramp I got from Discount was a 50" wide tri-fold that is 69" long. Its sweeeeet and was CHEAP! $100 plus $25 shipping....couldn't beat that anywhere!

That's what mine are.....they weigh in at 26 lbs I think and have a 1500 pound capacity. Discount Ramps sells for a Buy It Now price of $100!!

stevendsm95gst,
How heavy is your 450? I was thinking of doing the same before I bought the set I have now, I was just a little concerned about the weight of my AC 400 (over 600lbs). Not familure with the YFZ450, is it a sport quad?
