Yeah, I would say it is normal for most bikes. If it happens all the time, I would get it checked, but mine does it from time to time. My old honda did it sometimes, both of my Yamahas did it as well. It kind of makes you wonder about it when it happens but if it isn't persistent, then I don't think it is any big problem. A lot of bikes have clunky shifting, especially Yamahas. ------------------ Andy Bassham *(1999 Arctic Cat 500 4x4, 1989 Honda 300)*

Hey mindz mine did that the first day i got it...but after i but a few miles on it it didnt do it any more...my gear would like stay down for about a second and i could hardly put it in reverse

It will go into reverse alot easier if you will hit the throttle a little when pulling on the lever. This also works when switching from high/low range.

Sumtimes when im switching the gear shifter well like 'hang' it well stay pressed down...(very seldom) and when i try to put it in reverse i have to give it a few tugs sometimes...is this normal or what?

My shifter would also get stuck but both ways shifting up or down. Had my clutch adjusted and it fixed it right up
