I say that some atv magazine or club out there should get a group of every 4x4 quad in the 450-600cc class $ slap the same tires on all quads & have a tug-of-war to see exactly which quad has the most towing capacity???(I'd put my money on the AC 500) who else agrees??????
98 AC 454 4x4
92 LT250R
85 LT230S

THE NEW AC 500'S ARE SUPPOSED TO BE TRUE 4-WHEEL DRIVE (MEANING THE TIRE WITH THE MOST TRACTION GETS MORE POWER THAN THE ONE THAT SLIPS ) UNLIKE THE OLD STYLED "LIMITED SLIP"FRONT DIFF. ON MY 454 4X4

oh well , there's NO point in having a wheel in the air or with no traction spinning when all you need is the wheel with traction to get power ????
But it be a LITTLE BIT better in mud holes.

The Rubicon is made by Honda which in the post is suppose to out do them all doesn't come with a switch for 2 to 4 wheel drive, no disc brakes and a sugar coated 3 wheel drive limited slip bring your rubicon and hook it to this sportsman and see how mean it is, I pull 450 hondas all day long backwards...if you want a to get a stump pulled pull that $7200 out of your pocket for a bike that don't have half of the features of the sportsman which you can get for $6000

And on the pulling part the AC 500 won't pull the sportsman already tried hehehe but they don't have the same tires, the sportsman has mud tires on it so....I must agree the traxter would be a tough one to pull with the sportsman I would like to know on that one which one would win...

I put my money on the Traxter because it has true 4wd and is the heaviest 4x4 which helps in a tug of war.

No there are better limited slip diff. than others such as the one you are taking about where the wheel with the most traction gets the power instead of the other kind of diff. where the wheel of with the least traction gets the power.True 4wd such as some Suzuki,Bombardier and Polaris models is when both front wheels get the power no matter what the terrain conditions. You can get true 4wd on limited slip diff. by getting a diff.lock kit.

What about one wheel on packed ground and the other on soft ground it still helps to have wheel on the soft ground turn.It only send power to the wheel with the most traction that does not mean the other wheel is in the air it just means it has less traction and just sits there doing nothing.
