Hotplate,

You may need to check with dealer dor its location but I am pretty sure both of those machines have some kind of restrictive safty limitors. One I think is gearing and the other is either fuel or electronic. Not exactly sure of their location but I have seen a 90 with the limiters off that had a lot of get up and go.

As for the fried CDI you may want to check for a short and or a bad voltage regulator if it has one. If it fried the CDI that fuse should have prevented it so there is a good possibility it was bad to start with.

Good luck

My father-in-law purchased 2 AC's for my boys a 2005 50 and a 2005 90. On the 50 I put in a new Spark plug with the correct gap and it runs but has no power. What do I need to adjust? I'm mechanically incline but I'm not familiar with ATV's or bikes. And on the 90 the inline fuse blew(little cartridge fuse 7A) just off the battery on a size #18 wire or so,when I replaced it and tried to restart it the CDI box Fried it sure makes some stinky smoke and plenty of it. Any ideas of what to check before i install the new CDI so I don't burn it up also?? or could it be that the CDI was bad and thats why it fried... Again I'm just not familiar with these things yet, I just want to see if I can fix it before hauling them up to the AC dealer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks...
