I can't comment on how they compare in quality with other brands I never checked others that closely. All I can say is my 2500# with a snatch block WORKS!!!, and has not failed yet.
For the money I saved, I figure if it fails I can rebuild it or buy another one. And still be ahead of the game.

Hollywood,
For some cheap money you can get a "snatch-block" like I did and it doubles the pulling.

I have one and it hasnt failed yet. I reccomend taking it apart and putting a good synthetic grease in it, like amsoil.

Some places carry it, like Bumper to Bumper. Otherwise you can order it. www.amsoil.com
I use it in everything, from my oil, to my differential fluids, tranny fluid, and radiator fluid.

Its easiest to take the winch off the ATV. Then there are 2 screws on the cap where the wires connect. Take those off, and it comes apart. There are allen screws on the inside by the line spool, that may make it easier also. Anyway, you want to get to the point where you can see the gears. Then just pack grease into the gears, and put it back together. I can do it and have back on my ATV in about 1/2 hr, and its worth it. Im making a habit of doing it once or twice a year.

Mine works great, I use it mostly for my snowplow on my prowler but it did pull me out of a big snow drift. The switch is a little cheap looking, but it works. Im thinking of buying another one for my 400 cat.

v2 rider can you give a quick run down of what/where you replaced the grease......Mine works great, but i too would like to re-grease it, but have no idea what to.......and havent found much material on the process...thanks

yes i too love mine....as stated the handle bar mount control is cheap....and sometimes you have to take your finger off it and push it again.....it just doesnt relay for some reason.....annoying yes........a hazard...not really....They use VERY cheap grease, so it does need to be replaced.....(which i have failed to do, but only had it 3 months...) It worked great all winter for plowing and pulled myself out of some deep snow once when I dug in and rested it on the frame....I only got the #2500, and would get the bigger one if i get another one......but that was my error.

I just purchased a venom x 3500 lb winch off ebay 2 days ago. I work out of town so its at home still in the box. I seen a few of yall that have venom winches on your bikes. I gave 153.00 brand new in the box. hows the quality of these winches.

Thanks I sort of bough this winch in the dark (if you know what I mean). I talked to a few bubs at home about it but they had'nt heard of the company either. There's not alot of accessories avalible in my area. Thanks again.
