Disc brakes on cars have what is called an anti-rattle spring to prevent this noise. It's a All Terrain Vehicle and they don't put niceties like that on them. The noise hurts nothing.

my v2 does that now after over 2000 miles. i determined it was the brakes cause i put my finger on the brake pad and could jingle it. the brakes work great still but i am just gonna replace them before selling it for safety reasons. brake pads are cheap a persons life is priceless. i would just try that usually you can hear what side it is coming from then determine from there.

I would check your bolts on the brake calipers just to be safe, some have had the bolts back out and caliper fall into wheel, lock up and break all the parts.

I have a jingling sound coming from what appears to be the brake areas. I was riding today and was able to relate the jingling sound to when I went in water - not deep, maybe just over floor board. It sounds like it is coming from the brakes. The brakes work great. Anyone know what this is?

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies guys. My last atv was a Honda 110 three wheeler back in the 80's. Needless to say, it did not have disc brakes. I feel better now knowing that it is where the noise is coming from.

Thanks oledad. Yeah, I checked the bolts first thing and found them to be tight.
