Invest in a set of stick stoppers. I put a set on when I had about 20 miles on my AC. So far I haven't had any problems with the boots. I know I would be replacing the boots if I didn't have them. They are well worth the $40 dollars.

Hey Four_Play, you really didn't describe the kinds of terrain covered in the 400 and 700 miles. A couple of years ago, I went riding with a guy with a brand new quad...who tore two boots in the first 20 miles because of a 6 foot piece of barbed wire hidden in some leaves. If they ride in wooded areas or places with a lot of debris, they are probably doing great to go that far and not have to replace boots. However, if they are riding primarily in sand, etc...there may be a problem. I have yet to invest in a set of stick-stoppers, but your post has helped remind me!

Is anyone else having trouble tearing and poking holes in their cv boots? I ride with a coulpe of guys that ride these machines and so far one guy in 700 miles has had to replace 2 boots and the other guy has around 400 miles on his and has replaced one so far. Is this more trouble than normal?

We ride mostly in wooded areas.
Where can I get a look at the stick stoppers? They have boot guards on the front that they got from the dealer.
