Owners manual states "80W-90 hypoid oil". I like the idea of synthetic, but it's your choice.

Yes, I use the synthetic in the crankcase and the differentials. I like the extended oil changes and the extra heat resistance protection that the synthetic gives.

I've been using the Arctic Cat oil change kits, mainly because I'm lazy and the kits have everything I need to get the job done.

use SAE 90 hypoid gear oil that's what the manual call's for, i've missplaced my manual so i'm not sure how much it hold's ! Go to the arctic cat page and ask bear he can tell you he has a 400 ac manual shift 4x4, i have a 2006 ac 400 fis auto with the suzuki engine/belt driven clutch, but i've missplaced my manual................williebee
