650 eating intake valves

Like Catterman says img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> You should have had this checked out by the dealer long ago. That's just not normal wear. I have over 1900 miles on my 400 and the valves are still good, checked but not adjusted. If you still have warranty, this issue should have already been addressed by your dealer and AC.

Ya I think you have a serious problem, time to bit the big one and head into the dealer.

Could be caused by over revving the engine, all the time?

Do you keep it redlined all the time? I'd do as Bear and Catterman suggest.

(05) cat 1800 miles and all 4 intake valves have worn out to the point of no adjustment left ( springs up agenst rockers).
looking for stainless steel ones.
please advise ..............

maybe i should back up a little.
it all started with a little bit of watter and toped off with my luck. = smoking like a 2 stroke polaris.
punched it out .5mm Wisco piston and rings, new crank and bearrings.
and now valves.
i play hard and refuse to go behind a polaris.
as far as a waranty ? lol........... right

nothing yet....... i'll keep loking though.
been chatting with the general manager at dynoman.net (verry helpfull).
he tells me that the valves have a stelite coating on them,wich usually dont pose a problem unless beaten to death with the loss of valve control due to weake springs.
he could custome make stainless ones for about $69. each (to rich for my blood).but sugests that a good aftermarket spring kit with chrome molly retainers ($300) and stock valves should fix my problem.
he also added that the factory valves have been superseeded to a newer part #, that usually means they have made an up grade to the valves.
i'm trying to contact a techrep. from kawasaki to see if this is true.
