May 250 did this and after a lot of trouble shooting the problem disappeared (and hasn't reappeared in 3 years) after I seperated the plugs to the insturmant head, cleaned them and reconnected them. There was corrosion and dirt in them that must have caused a short of some sort.

Maybe it's just faulty lights, my shifter lights don't work anymore, N or R. When I am in R, my N light comes on, I don't think it will pose a problem though. Maybe just call your dealer and ask them, I would be kind of worried with it being the temp light and all.

IM having a problem when i start the wheeler. The overheat light comes on soon after i start it. When i put it in reverse or nutral the light goes out. And the fan comes on after running it like i would normaly ride it. Has anyone heard of a problem with the sensor or the light itself??
