Regardless of the records they keep, if they got paid from Arctic Cat Cat will have the records. Call customer service and see if they will help out. Stators are not a big problem on the A/C's. Looking at the bike you have listed, it is a Yamaha and they are prone to stator problems. Are you sure you posted in the right section?

I might have the same problem with my 02 500 cat.
was one of your symptoms, using the electric start , it spinning over just fine but no ignition, then giving it one pull on the recoil and it starting ?
I have a sparatic spark problem as well and the the early warning sign that its going to happen is the above behaviour.
I was wondering if it might be a voltage regulator

You don't say here you are at but a stator for a 2002 400 is $376.94 USD and $540.94 Canadian, part number 3430-011. You check for youself here for the US;

The 2002 400 and 500 used the same stator. The rectifier/regulator only concerns the battery charging portion of the stator, not the ignition portion.

Try these numbers;
Arctic Cat Phone numbers and E-mail
1-218-681-4999 or 1-218-681-9799, one of the numbers only works once in a while. The other will work all the time but I forgot which is which. The email is: consumeraffairs@arcticcatinc.com . I would email them and tell them the whole story of your problems. They should handle it, maybe even call your dealer or find you a new dealer, set up an appointment even.
