They all do that as far as I no. Mine does it...my dads does it... and all my friends do it to. I wouldnt be worried about it at all.

The reason that it gets so hot is because its the first part that recieves that hot exhaust gasses in you exhaust system.

i was riding earlier tonight and i noticed that my header was starting to glow, i shut it down immediatly and brought the truck out to get it. what is the cause of this happening?

well yea i knew that, i was just thinking my engine might have been running a little hot and that might have been why it was turning red. i don't ride at night very often so i just noticed it when i was riding earlier.
