Yeah, I read my 06 650 manual and it illustrates taking off a spark arrester assembly which I dont have, or dont see. Its supposed to be a triangular piece that has 3 screws and slides out with a screen in it. My muffler doesnt look like it has this, only a bolt with a square head on the bottom side of the muffler.
If you have stock exhaust the the spark arrestor is built into the muffler and there is a pipe nipple welded into the underside of the muffler with a plug in it. An after market pipe is a whole different story.
