whats the average out the door price for the manual cat 500 4x4. 05 or 06 model it doesnt matter with me. how dependable are the 500 cats? i own a 500 vinson and love it. im thinking of giving it to my oldest son and getting the cat for me with the irs and front diff lock. any problems with axle bearings or boots tearing. i had a 05 polaris that give me fits when it come to boots and bearings. thanks for your input.

thanks guys. i think ill be trying to find an 05 model. the tires on my vinson do very well in mud. they ride rough on hard pack at slow speeds. my vinson has the power of a 650 or 700 but i dont like the sra and the no front diff lock about it. i want the cat for ground clearance and front diff lock. although it may hurt my feelings when my boy smokes me on the vinson when we have the same engine. lol

meatdogspot, did your winch and bumper come with yours at 6600 or was they extra

unless you have a clutch kit i would stick with the 26's on the auto. even with the manual vinson the 27,s use a lot of its power, but you can put it in low range and it turns them over reaL well. when you going to dirty dog park. i only live 45mins from there. i have to work this saturday but im off next weekend.

no problem

no problems with boot tearing like polaris. 05 goes for about 5500 and 06 around 6500 give or take a couple hundred. A very dependable quad. best in the cat lineup.

I got my 2006 AC 500 auto for 6600 - the manual may a bit cheaper. I love it. I'm looking to replace the stock tires with 26s or 27s. How are those 27s working on the Vinson?

i added those. winch 275, front 150, rear 100. i tried to set it up like the LE on the dk green bike. still trying to figure out new tire size. i know the 26's are the smart choice but i've been known to do otherwise.
hittin' Dirty Dawg Park, Phenix City AL on HWY 431 on SAT.
