Liguid neopreme is not made to work as an isulator repair where the wire rubs on something. Either tape it for real or if close to a connector, use heat shrink.

That would be my guess too. The liquid stuff just doesnt take much abuse, and it rubs off. Put a few wraps of good electrical tape, or silicone tape, and maybe use a zip tie, to hold the wire away from where it rubs.

My 04 650 has been blowing 30 amp fuses latley. I found a wire behind the snorkle coming off of the belt cover, that the sheathing was worn through so that bare wire was showing. I put liquid electrical tape on it to seal it up. Two hours of riding after that and the 30 amp fuse blew again. Any ideas???
