I dont know if going over 60" is worth it? at 60" you can still angle the plow and keep the tires inside of the plow cleaning path which obviously the 72" will do also, But the 72" plow adds extra weight to the front and hence more load on the machine pushing it. You may find that in a heavy snowfall the smaller 60" plow is both more user friendly and easier on the machine than what the 72' is. Also, when you park it in the garage its going to take up that much more room, if that matters.

When the plow (any plow) is on the ground the weight of the plow is off of the machine so not really a factor. But, the increased width of the plow means more snow being pushed and more overall load on the atv. A heavy wet snow will be much harder to push with the 72" plow versus the 60" or smaller. You will start to lose traction much quicker. Also the 72" is less manuverable in tighter areas. The 72" plows were mainly designed for the Mules, Boss, etc... Their increased size and wieght handle the larger plows easier.

a heavier plow will help keep it on the ground (a good thing). It's not like the suspension can't take it either!
