Hi: I'm sure this is a worn out topic, but I just bought a 2004 Arctic Cat 400 ATV 4X4 with manual transmission. I can't stand the rocker shifter and have ordered a new rocker shifter and the toe shifter AC sells for 2002 and earlier models. My plan is to cut the shifters off the rocker shifter shaft and fabricate a toe shifter by welding the rear of the shift lever to the rocker shaft. Has anyone done this, and if so, do you have any pointers or suggestions?
