Stock for the Kawi is 138 front, 142 rear......stock for the AC is 128 in both. I went to Kawi stock sizes after opening up the airbox intake (VDI mod).

Heyyou.....you are correct.....I was just going from memory, which is not great!

I put a 2-1/2" 90 deg elbow directly into the airbox by drilling over the stock "stub" sticking out of the airbox with a 2-3/4 hole saw. I then drilled a hole in the plastic and ran it to the outside.

I asked this question in the kawi forum and KOD said go up one size from stock. If you go to ArcticChat.com there is a lot of info on this mod.

Welcome to the site, good to see a fello Bluenoser.

You can put a larger snorkle on and stay at stock height, thats what I plan on doing, don't want to cut any holes.

Is that what you did DaveB?Is it a custom job?

Has anybody done a vdi snorkle mod to the airbox of a 650 cat. i searched the forum and could not find any posting in the last few months. My question is this - What jets do you use for the carbs. I read somewhere that #138 jets should be used. I have them ordered but they are on back order for a month at least. I have ordered #135 jets hoping they will work just as well. Not really mechanically inclined. My friend does all the work. Any opinions would be appreciated.
