The fullest I have ever seen it, I still had the slicks on it but didn't get stuck once and other then what I think is a new plug worked good.

The kit made a huge difference! At the atv pulls i beat both my buddies 500's. We did an exebition pull just to see if i could beat them. All the other times i pulled in the 500 class without the kit they killed me. All i did was install the kit and cut most the foam off the air filter to get more air. I got to get a k&n before i go riding this year. Do you have a part # for the 55w halogen driving lights and have you had any problems with them drawing too much power.

Blue,
You shouldn't have to touch the kit once it is installed. All you have to do is install a new needle and a new main jet. I could get you one for around 60.00 shipped to your door. I have installed two of these into the ac 400 manuals. The first time took me about 2 1/2 hrs. the 2nd under two. Heres a link to one pic of my fourwheeler and my dog hopefully a few more will be on the way. http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mach1x_92/album?.dir=/9de3

Hey rice, I was thinking of a jet kit for mine, I just put 27"s on it 12's in the back, 10's in the front. Did the jet kit make any noticeable difference? Do you still have your stock exhaust?

I didn't get the lights at the dealer, bought 'em at Walmart. I tried to attach them to my sig, but it didn't create a link, so I guess I'll have to figure out a way to get them up. I made a mount out of plexi glass, and well, it's hard to explain. I'll try to get the pics up for you. I think you'll like what I made. I haven't had any problems with the lights, I wired them through a relay, and they seem to work well. I think I'm going to try the jet kit route, any hints on dialing it in after installation??

Maybe just highlight the link under my sig, copy and paste it to your browser. I tried it and it worked for me. Hope you like the pics, Blue

Tires will make a big difference in the handling, the stockers ( I assume they're Dunlops) are garbage, ANY tire will perform better. You'll also find they ride a little better with the shock dialed up on or near the highest settings.

I love my cat, I have about 80 miles on mine, mostly plowing. Just added 26" Mud Lites and love them too.

Where did you get your jet kit?
How Much?
Do you know if the dial a jet works?

MrTommy is right, mine has the Carlisle Badlands XTR radials, not the Dunlops.

My wife and I have 2004 400i 4x4's and love them. We've got about 300 miles on them and so far, not a problem. I installed a 2500 Ramsey wireless winch on mine, but haven't had a chance to use it for anything yet (other than looking cool...). We've got soft luggage on the back racks, dual fender bags, and shovel racks on the front. We can't brag enough on them.

...And one more thing I like about our 400's. They're a LOT better on gas than the cool but thirsty 650's and other brands's 700's. I really have no need to do 60-70 mph. We normally cruise (on a 'good' road) around 15-20 mph, cuz if we can DO 40 or so, we're on the wrong raod!

Hey Treehead,

I adjusted our shocks down the the 'wimpiest' setting too and actually LIKE the feel of them there. Rides better. Then when I checked to see how much air I had in the tires (the dealer told me they were about 5 lbs) , I found they had between eight and ten pounds - GASP! So I let them down to about 6-7, and may drop them to 5 like everone seems to suggest. Rides MUCH better now - duh.

Ours came with Carlisle radials and they seem to do all right.

I have had my 03' AC 400 auto since November. I plow with it and have been dragging wood with it. Have been extremely happy so far with no troubles. The machine will do more than I ever thought it would.

I started out with my springs dialed in half way. It seemed to ride pretty hard. So I took them all the way down and it seemed to ride better at least for break-in period. Still only 120 miles on it so springs are probably not quite broken in yet. I'm curious about what tires anyone else has tried. Bigger size and or more aggressive tread than stock. So far stock tires aren't bad but I have the feeling they wont last that long.

Howdy ya'all
I have been looking to get a little more power out of my 2003 400 4x4. Does anybody know of a aftermarket exhaust for the 400? I have just put 26" 589's front and rear, warn winch, you name it, it has it, but we need more power. I LOVE THE QUAD....Thanks
