I had the exact same problem. After snapping the left tie-rod in half and replacing it. It turned out to be the front wheels were out of alignment and it would hook either left or right. After re-aligning per the maintenance manual the problem went away. There was not enough toe-in.
Do you have more or less hook tendency with the plow on or off? Check the alignment.

my 500 steers just fine, i often trail rid one handed, might not be the smartest thing to do, but i never claimed to be smart, lol

Anyone else having problems with bump steer ?Im not sure if this is a TRV only problem or if it affects all AC's 1st time was over the summer when cruising down a dirt trial , the front seemed to hook under in a slight turn . No damage exept a scraped edge on my wheel. 2nd time i wasnt so lucky , It happened sunday , I had the plow on, was going about 10-15 mph and took my hands off the bars to adjust my goggles and it hooked and i couldnt control it and went off the edge of the street and hit a small tree. I wasnt plowing at the time , but was in 4x4 . It just seems the steering wants to go one way or the other ,no center point . I wasnt injured but my cat plow took a real beating the little 6 inch tree did a number on it . Bent the plow , the angle lever,and bent the mounting plates, didnt break the plastic blade though or do any damage to the machine. My shocks are set one step above center in the front and in the center in the back

You might check to see if you have any loose nuts, or bolts on the steering linkage. My TRV steering was getting loose as well but, I found a couple of loose nuts and bolts on the steering linkage. After tightening them I have not had a problem with it.
Also, I run the spring settings in the middle front and rear for 1 person and maxed out front and rear for 2 people. I don't have a plow on the TRV, but the one my truck has adds a considerable amount of weight to the front end. So you might also try increasing the spring settings on the front.

I had my air pressure at about 4 pounds when I brought it home and increased it to 5 pounds and it made a world of difference. Noticed it most turning at speed. With the weight of the plow on it you need the front tires well inflated (5 pounds)or you will get alot of "roll" with them, especially turning. I have the TRV and 60 inch plow also.
