If we have our 02 manuals in stock I'll look it up. You only need the specs since getting the parts breakdown would be a waist on your mikuni carb. But I must warn you, it will probaly be way off for your carb. The new Keihins have accelerator pumps from the looks of them, so they should have smaller jetts than your mikuni with no accelerator pump.

I need to get the info on the carb that is on the 2002 400 4x4. My dealer does not have the parts breakdown on them yet. What I need is the main jet size, model # for the jet needle, pilot jet size, etc. I have played with the carb on my 2000 400 4x4 and have had some noticeable gains but the carb set up on the 2002 is perfect,I drove one yesterday and the differance is suprising. I will bet that the gas mileage will be a lot better two. As a matter of interest the 2000 model year 400 uses a larger main [150] than the 500 [145] so I am pretty sure that the 400 has got too run rich. In my case the plug is never tan colored,it is always dark brown,. go figure. My goal is to modify the Mikuni [200 4004x4] to match the specs on the 2002 400 4x4 with the Kehein carb. The differance in the exhaust between the two I will address later.
Cheers Jim

Jim-
Sorry I can't help with the parts diagram-talked to my dealer the other day, he still doesn't have the breakdowns for the machines yet either. Good luck on figuring this out, but when you do address the exhaust, please keep me informed as to what you notice, or how it performs. I'm really interested in installing the new '02 muffler on my '00 'Cat if indeed it does allow better flow rates i.e. less restrictive.
Anyway, interested to hear what you find, and Best of Luck,
Mike
