Yes it fits, you will need a different side panel, at the same time you might have to change the reverse lever. One of my riding buddies did it (he changed both) with no problems.

Does anyone know if the new style gas tank will fit on my older bike? I know the left side panel would have to be replaced for the fuel petcock. Thanks for your input.
