The MSRP is like $6599, but granted that is the price suggested by the manufacturer. If you actually pay that much, then you either got a good deal in Canada or paid to damn much in the US. AC's can be found between $5800 and $6100 fairly easily in most parts. If you have somebody giving you the run around, just look elsewhere. DO NOT PAY $6600 FOR IT!

When I was looking for a cheap way to get another set of rims, the dealer quoted me like $575 for a set of stockers with 489's that they had off some other quad. Uhhh.. NO, I don't think so. That was pretty lame. I ended up getting ITP's. Thats pretty good that you can get that stuff at those prices. I paid like $5500 for my 500 with a winch 2 years ago, but I also was really good friends with the dealer. Manuals are about $5800 here I think. Other dealers charge the MSRP, but they don't exactly sell a whole lot either.

The MSRP is $6599 I believe, but around here $6300 is the normal price with them going on sale a few times out of the year.

I don't think that even with his wife on the cat and him on the 450 that the 450 could pull the cat. but with his wife on the 450 I think he and the cat would pull them around for a few feet. Mostly cause of weight, but the front diff, tires, and wheel base have some play in it too.

I just paid 5800 today in Cambridge,Minn..'cat threw in a winch for 69 big ones...add a plow with Minn. state tax it all equalled just under $6,600....with off road reg.. Let it snow.... :)

Cowboy.... Yes it"s a 01 ...the plow is a 60 inch CMP product. "Cat is including a Warn 2000 or 2 years extended warranty.Cost for winch is 69 dollars. For those sitting on the fence it seems that now is a good time to buy. I plowed 5 inches of wet snow today...much more fun than using a blower..usually I watch the Vikings but today was just to hard to handle!! :(

I really bought the Cat for my wife...(:)!!)... She wanted an auto...and I wanted a plow..The Cat's extra ground clearence along with the $69 winch deal made the Cat the plow machine.I've only spent about 2 hrs Sun. plowing so my preferences aren't formed yet. I did notice the Cat seeems cold blooded and harder to start ...could be me?? I liked the shifting to reverse much better on the Cat and allowed me to operate the winch with my left hand. Power and traction "felt" better ....side by side test in snow to come later!!!

Bill: Was that the '01 Auto? If so, sounds like you got a pretty good deal there, with the winch and plow! Just curious, what kind of plow did you get? Anyway, best of luck with the 'Cat and hopefully mother nature will throw some snow your way to put to good use! Mike

Hey Bill450ES, take your Cat and put it in low range 4x4 and hook up to your 450 (hitch to hitch) and see who wins. Im just wondering. Thanks 01' 400 Soon to buy a 01' 500

At my local dealer they have a price of $5900 for the auto. Thats with no wheeling or dealing, so you can get it for even cheaper. matty

Hey Bill Just wondering how you like the cat compared to your 450es? matty

I was just curious to see, if you thought what I thought. My nieghbor bought the 450s when I bought my AC manuel. The things I found cat better suspension by far, cat more power, front diff seemed to work better on cat and on top of that i got my cat for over a thousand cheaper then what he paid. The nice things about the 450s was it steered alot easier, and shifted better(more smooth). Your wifes should steer alot better then mine since she has the selectable 2 or 4 wheel drive. These are my observation. Like to see what you think. matty PS Both seem to be built like sherman tanks
