The belt won't slip when working it hard. It will slip if you get water and or mud into the clutch housing. I have been down that road. I snorkled my housing and have no more problems.

I am thanking of buying a 500 auto. I would look to know if the balt has slip in deep mud or pulling heavy loads for any of you
