Another way is to unsubscribe is up at the top hit on my forums and you can get rid of the email notifications.
I have just not gotten into a habit now of unchecking.

Why am I receiving several e-mails when someone posts to a thread I'm subscribed to? I might get 5-6 e-mails about the same post. It didn't used to do that. Am I the only one?

I don't want to get rid of ALL of them, but until a couple of weeks ago I received only one e-mail when someone posted to a thread I was subscribed to. I would get as many e-mails as there were new posts, but only one per post. Like I said, now I get 5-6 about the same single post.
Perfect example is I received 2 seperate e-mails about your 1 post.
