My daughter figured out how to resize photos all by herself when she was 12 years old. 2500 other people with photo galleries here have figured out how to resize a photo.
I think you're capable of figuring out how to do it too but not with a negative attitude like that.
People will help you if you're willing to give them a chance. If not, well, perhaps you should find another forum if you're not happy here.

Oh, and the reason we have size limits that other forums might not have? No other ATV forum has over 70,000 pages being read every day. If we didn't limit the photo sizes and had to transfer unecessarily large photos we would eat up all of our bandwidth. Then of course you would gripe about the pages loading too slowy. I think before you go off on us about a subject you know nothing about you would be better served by asking questions first.

Instead of making a new topic i decided to post in this one.
My problem is i have been trying to post a picture on "my page" and the picture won't show up, but the text will. Yesterday i got a email from the forum asking me to delete the text because there is no picture. Sure enough i can do that. Well i went in to "my page" and hit delete on picture #3. When the window came up asking me if i really wanted to delete the text and picture, the picture and text came up but won't show up in my page? Does that make sence? I was just wondering if i am doing something wrong or if its the forum. This morning i tried to move the picture to slot #4 and the same thing happened.
I forgot to add that i checked what the size of the picture was before i deleted it and it said 150X105 pixels. I looked in FAQ to see what the requirements are, but i didn't see anything.

Your doing something wrong on your end because I just approved 5 photo pages.
Most of the time its the format or photo size that is the problem.
Browse to the photo (jpg or gif formats only) on your PC.
Click the "Submit Photo" button.
Photo dimensions are limited to 750 wide by 750 high.
Photo file size is limited to 150K or less.
Thumbnail is automatically created from your photo.

TO GET PICTURES SMALLER
1 open microsoft paint
2 open your picture up on microsoft paint
3 click on sketch/skew
4 size it down horizontal/vertical to where you dont have to scroll to see the entire picture, i ussually start downsizing with about 60% on both hor. and vert.
5 save it to your desktop or somewhere easy to get to.
6 come to the site and open them up to your pics page.

One last thing when you post bio it takes on average of about 30 minutes to cycle through the server and then emails are sent out to the moderators. Next a moderator must read his email and then back to the ATV Connection forums to look at your page and check for content. So what I am saying is if a moderator is not online it could be longer than the thirty minutes so please be patient.

the reqirements are on the screen that pops up when you click 'add/edit' on an individual picture
what was the file type of said photo (jpg, gif) ??

When I "stretch skew" my pics down to size, the look smaller but the KB size stays the same. I saved them all then tried to post. It seems that one was ok, but the rest arent. I dont think i did anything different. Im gettin a headache

I do that procedure and I can get the KB down, but the dimensions stay at 784 by 588...

this is such b.s. about the posting pics thing. i did a search and bunch of b.s. came up. why do i have to downsize my photos. thats too much messing around. theres no good reason for it. this is the only forum out of 5 that im on, and a moderator on 2 of them that i cant post pics, either admin put up a sticky how to do it or you can remove my i.p. adress cause im about done with this forum. thanx for listening

i did ask how to post pics, i did do a search, there were so many topics it would take me hours to read them all. if you had a sticky up or something as how to post pics it would prolly be helpful. just my opinion. and yes ive found 4 other fourms i like very much, so just geve me a break here and ill hopefully figure out how to post pics on my own with my crappy software, without buying a program and all will be better!!

ok i think ive got it figured out, your right this is a sticky. im not used to this style of forum, not that its bad. i like the bio thing where you can click on the camera. i have a tendency to have a short fuse, i apologize to anyone i irritated.

someone else posted this. open your pic in paint open skew and start resizing, save to dektop, r/click on photo,click on properties and it will tell you the size of the file. keep working with it till you get 150k, or below.g/luck. i use adobe photo, but that costs money.

All right, I've got a pic thats 384x512 pix, 22.6KB JPEG format, and it wont upload. Says its a file error or not a valid image.I've tried everyone-elses suggestions, no luck. What else can anyone say about this, I need some help, Im not that computer literate. Thanks in advance, I appreciate anything you can suggest.

i say take pictures with a phone- those are so small you dont have to worry about resizing them
