Not sure. We had a site that starts with "ATV S..." came here and three times in the course of a year spammed the forums PM system with over 700 requests to come to their site. In between, they spammed to a lesser degree but it was constant.
They spammed the chat room and spammed the public forums. Thus we added them to the profanity filters to stop the abuse. The owners denied ever doing anything of the sort until I sent them proof multiple times. After about 3 years they finally stopped.
Usually if there is a link that the profanity filter supresses its because a site was a major problem here. Filtering is a last resort if we've asked and asked and they just won't behave.

I have had a problem lately with trying to post links in response to other people asking; where can I find this kind of questions. I am just wondering what are forbidden words and why would I not be able to post anything that starts with ATV---- ? It seems like that is all that is forbidden. Can you clarify or is this some kind of bug or something. Thanks for any help.

Oh OK, thanks for the info. Ryanstones I didn't do anything that violates the rules, I was just trying to post a link answering a simple, where is a good place to buy.... and it happens to start with ATV.... so it said it was forbidden. I also would never use profanity in a public forum, so it had me curious. I can understand the reason Dbeck, but this forum does have to do with atv's and alot of atv links start with atv blah blah, so it becomes hard to point someone in the right directions sometimes. So, that is why I asked the question. Thanks.
