What can I say, it's been a slow night around here!
The Old Mill Dam is a natural rock ledge across the Marais Des Cygnes River just outside of La Cygne. It is an interesting place and just a 1 minute ride from the house.
Over the years, the water has cut a bypass around the dam, so now water only comes over after a good rain has brought the level up a little. A friend and I are working on a moderate trail about 3/4 mile long in the timber swath between the river and surrounding fields. Like I said, it's not the best, but it is close.
