I was there about 2 weeks ago......went to rockhouse and waterways.
Rockhouse has been the best so far but the trails change a lot and there all good.
I was told to make reservations for the next time i go down because it will start getting busy and i might not get a room.I might just take a tent with me next time i go.

I go yearly, mid to late October, Love it, the people are good and the trails are likewise. There are other places to go around there that are pretty much free and none of the rules that H-M have. I have not been to any of them yet. If you want good current info, there are plenty of the local riders from that area that are on here. The place that I stay at is Browning Fork trailhouse, they have there own site, they are very good people and they have immediate trail access from there site to Browning Fork/ Rockhouse trail system, which has the toughest "black" trails in the system to my knowledge. The blue trails are are good challenge, with some mud and rocks, which I have seen sometimes the trails seem to have been marked wrong, where some blues should have been black and vise-versa. When you do get there, wherever you stay, check the trail conditions, things are constantly changing up there with trail closings and openings, and trail events. The weekends always have a lot of traffic on the trails and of course a lot less during the week. Take wet gear for morning rides, maybe a fuel cell, rope, winch, tire plug kit and inflator and be ready to help others, there hasn't been a time yet that I haven't had to tow someone, provide mechanical help or winch someone up the mountain, and the same for me. If you are riding a sport quad, I beleive that Pinnacle Creek would probably be a good "jam" for you, it is pretty fast and smooth, take lunch with you that day and eat by the stream.
