Lots of great riding in the San Bernardino Mtns. The forest web site has trail maps you can print.
You should make it to Rasor/Afton Canyon sometime.
Jawbone/Red Rock Canyon and Spangle Hills/Trona Pinnacles.
Google those names and see what you come up with.

Yeah, still planning to go, but haven't heard from everybody so haven't set a date. Looks like I could do Oct. 12-14 or 26-28. I'll nail everybody down in the next couple of days.
Be sure your daughter knows that this is a high altitide all day expedition ride! It is a loop, and once you start there isn't any turning back if you get tired or whatever. And, there are a couple technical sections, but we can help her through those. Must take warm clothing, as it can be cold at high altitide!

Being a Firefighter I have a lot of time during the week. A few of the guys I work with ride but are on different shifts so it's hard to get together. I like going to Hungry Valley (Gorman), Ocotillo Wells and of course Glamis. I am open to other spots just haven't been anywhere else yet. Anyone available???
