If you are serious about trying the toughest of the trails down there, at least one person in your riding group should have a winch. I went up trail 94 for the first time (at Browning Fork) on my last visit down there with a group of 4. I made it up but the 2nd person didn't and his quad flipped and rolled until it came to a stop when it hit the 3rd quad. After sorting that mess out we winched the other 3 up and over that last part of the last hill. They wouldn't have made it without the winch and turing around at this point (near the end of the trail) was not a desirable option.
BTW I will never do 94 again, I can have a lot of fun down there without getting that close to the danger zone. My advice to you is to "work up" to the black trails, run the greens and blues first and then see if you really want (and are able) to do those trails. Also "black" rated trails at Buffalo Mountain, Browning Fork and Dingess Rum are as a rule a lot more rugged than the black rated trails at the Little Coal River and Pinnacle Creek systems...
