Thanks Danny it was the best thing that could happen! Now we don't have to worry about some drunk with no helmet running over our kids! It's even better now, plus the water and electric hook ups are awesome!

The kermit sand hills park has been demolished do to new ownership of dunes adjacent to the park. The Winkler County Sheriffs have had nothing but problems with Danny Zumwalt (Kermit Sandhills Inc.), and chose recommending the closing of the park in a recent city council meeting. "The conflict out there is just going to get worse until somebody finally gets hurt (referring to fighting)." The Sheriffs words were very prophetic. Two weeks later the sheriffs office received 20+ phone calls in one day by Kermit Sandhills Inc. and "board" members, because they were upset people were chosing to ride around their property and go on land that wasn't theirs. Along with false reports of trespassing and fighting, the sheriff had finally had enough. By the next wednesday the park was in complete ruins and there is now no place to park at the kermit sandhills. Worse than that it is the closing of a 53 year old tradition and the end of an era. Thanks Danny Zumwalt and "board" members. The selfishness of few have closed this park for all.
